Dash cracking is a common issue. I replaced mine with a new oem one. I added epoxy to the stress points on the new dash so it wouldn't crack again. Or you can always order the dash cover that glues on for 200 bucks.

Those are great vehicles to say the least. We have an older one, 1997 to be exact. It’s the 2500 series LT with the 454/4L80 & 410 gears. It has awesome torque getting up to speed but the top end is somewhat handicapped with the 410 gears. Originally in service with a government agency, it spent most of its life in the Northern Virginia & Southern Maryland area, so it wasn’t exposed to much harsh weather. Despite its age, it still runs excellent & looks great! Good Day to You!

They are indeed amazing trucks. I really like this one. I made several videos with this truck on the channel. Check them out if you get a chance. Thanks for watching.

Just bought a 2010 Suburban 2500 4WD. I LOVE IT!!! It previously was an FBI vehicle. Lots of little holes drilled everywhere. We have the cracked dash & were missing the 3rd row as well. We found one locally on Facebook Marketplace & snatched it up! The AC “works”, but not so great. The suspension is starting to show its true colors & I’m afraid we’re about to have to sink some serious money into it to fix it. But I wouldn’t change a THING!!!

    I definitely like those suburbans,.
Great trucks, but I almost prefer the excursions.. I believe you had one a while ago and I loved them ever since,,
    They make great camping vehicles..
Can’t wait to see updates on the warehouse..

We bought a 1999 K2500 Suburban in 2006 - still have it, about 130k miles but has a whimpey 5.7. We bought a 2004 K2500 Suburban in 2008, drove for many years and sold it January 2020 with about 175k miles on it. Bought the 2008 K2500 Suburban in 2019, shipped it from Hawaii. It only had 16,000 miles on it. It had numerous problems including antilock brake control module, fuel tank issues. The traction control light would keep coming on and I never figured that out. After losing the engine at only 42k miles due to bad o-ring on oil suction tube I said the heck with it and sold as a salvage vehicle. Our 2008 was a lemon but it sure towed well. I also have a 2005 K3500 Sierra. All were former government vehicles. Had / have good luck with all except the 2008.

They are great trucks and last forever. The 1500's are dime a dozen but the 2500 is a bit more special 😀

I missed the opportunity to get a 99 secret service suburban 2500 V12 Armored. It was presidential blue. That's okay hopefully one I'll get another opportunity at getting one or the regular 2500 8.1L

"it rides like a Lincoln Towncar" No, it does not. I happen to own both a 2008 Suburban 2500 just like this one and a 2009 Lincoln Towncar. I can tell you that as nice as my Suburban rides, it does not compare to the smoothness and comfort of my Towncar.
That said, the Lincoln will not tow my 8000lb trailer.

For a BIG SUV is the ride at least pretty comfortable and smooth????

@@mercedesbenzs600bash I have a 2005 Chevy suburban 2500 and it’s a little more stiffer than the 1500 but you can also tow a lot more very comfortable and have to worry about squat and braking. Hope this helps

Just a PSA..... I had a former 2008 K2500 Suburban with the 6.0. It was awesome. The oil suction tube has an o-ring that goes bad. Mine wore out due to age, not miles. I lost the engine with only 42k miles on it. I could not find a replacement and settled for a whimpy 2015 1/2 ton with a 5.3. Ticked off that the k2500 6.0 is not available. I used to have a 2004 with the 8.1 and our 2008 with the 6.0 towed better. I keep scanning the GSA auctions hoping to find a fleet K2500 6.0 2015 or newer.

When buying from menhain or any auction that you can actually go and inspect the car is your fault for thinking their private sellers and need to disclose every detail welcome to the dealer game goofy .
