- In this video I make a special trompo spinning top out of almond wood. I spent many hours on experimenting and designing this top and I think the result speaks on it's own. As far as I am concerned this is my best spinning top from all I have made so far.

That's a real beauty Dimitris! Super work on the lathe and a very elegant result. I guess we can call you a Master Turner now. Great job all round mate, one of your best.
Thank you my friend. I am really far from "mastery" but I keep learning as I go and each time I feel more comfortable with my tools.
Geat ! I think this would be your 3rd spinning top.
Neat project and a different design from others I have seen, well done, you aced this one.
Thank you
Excellent
Thank you
Nice top & great job! Happy Holidays to you & your family! 🎄🎄
Thank you, happy holidays my friend
Nicely done 👍
Thank you
This is excellent work!
I have looked for some wooden trompo, but it is difficult to find one with a hollow structure…
If possible, I would like to order this from Japan.
Thank you. Yes it is quite difficult to make.
Can you describe the pin/nail that you use for the tip? Thanks
GooD)))))))
Thank you
why you don't sell your product on your website or any popular one? how I can buy it
I am not that type of person. I tried before, but not my style!
@@ScrapwoodCity thanks and good luck 👍🏻 I wish you the best

I’ve made these before where did you get the string that you used ?
These are beautiful! Would you ever make them as donations for an inner city school?
θα ήταν ενδιαφέρον μια σβούρα με σφυρίχτρα έτσι όπως γυρνάει...
Έχω φτιάξει σε προηγούμενο video
Great video, thanks for sharing. Beautiful job🤠
Thank you
Beautiful art work
Thank you
Hİ👋👌👍
Great job! Fine video again. 👍
Thank you
Bravo my friend, fine video again. Spinning tops for ever!!!!!!!
Ευχαριστώ αδερφέ, είναι κόλημα οι σβούρες πως να το κάνουμε! Εσύ είσαι ο πρώτος διδάξας! χαχα
Would it work if you make it this way from metal?
I don't see why it couldn't.
@@ScrapwoodCity Nice. I am trying to learn cnc g-code. These are fun projects for practice. Only my OD is limited to 40mm, most spinning tops I see look bigger in diameter
*αχ....τι μας θύμησες..πολυ ομοορφη.*
Ευχαριστώ μάστορα
the string keeps sliding off the end of the top when I try to wind it.
Try to make the top groove a little larger. You need to make a few prototypes to make it work. I like to keep my best working prototype as a sample.
@@ScrapwoodCity the top works fine, its down by the nail when I put any tension on the string, the whole coil slides off.
You don't need too much tension. Still you have to experiment with this side as well until it works easily
Nice job. I really like the "string storage" lid. Kinda clever
Would have liked if you showed dimensions😢👍👍
What are the finish dimensions and where get the string
