74 was the last year that Mopar managed to hang onto that American muscle look while the Chevelle and nova had already gone down the crapper. This was truly the end of an era for Mopar, and wow what a beauty she is Jay!
My 2nd car when I was 21 was this. Sold my '68 Coronet 500 (the car I miss more than this E body) for $500, added $500, walked into the dealer that couldn't give these away in '74 and walked out with a $4k crimson red with white stripe 360-4v spankin' new 'Cuda (this should have stripe, too - must've been painted, plus rear valance black is not quite right) . 7 MPG if you are having ANY fun - 15 MPG if you did 55 on the highway. When gas went to 50¢ a gallon we were PISSED! Straight line only these heavy E bodies couldn't turn for sh*t, a Corolla would beat you in the twisties. Hard plastic interior surfaces with screws that would fall out, noisy clinkity clunk when door shuts - these cars were a mess. But, they looked cool and went like a bat out of hell on the highway. The car I miss is the '68 B Body (like road runner) Coronet 500 coupe - much better car and much more rare than these E bodies. Don't get me wrong, for my first new car the 'Cuda looked cool - it just looks better than it drives or performs. 🚗

Beautiful Chrysler... Knew this one wouldn't last.... Thanks Jay and VOLO for presenting such great examples...

The 74 Mustang too 😬
Nice looking car
Beautiful car for the money.
Wow! That 360 V8 *put out a whopping 245 horsepower in 1974*
I’d like to have it even if it had
225 slant six..
I had a 70’ Belvedere with 318 that produced 235 hp I think 🤔 So yeah they really detuned those engines a lot after 71’ and later .
@@NorthwoodsNomad 1971-the end of the true musclecar era.
@@jackduguid177 For what they were, the 225 slant six was really good.

Back in the day I had a white vinyl top with royal blue body. 360/ 4 speed manual one same year 👍🏽
NIce!
Dang, those front bumper bumpers.
And those rear rubber bumpers stick out like a foot LOL. Beautiful Cuda though!
Nice car, but it needs a crate motor upgrade 😜 360 getting 12 mpg 😲
Yes, crate motor!
And a new paint job, a new color, not diarrhea brown
A podracer 🏁 powerfull and big 😎 cool car thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum 😊 😊 😊
Same horsepower rating as 1973 ,340
Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers.
BEUTIFULL BEUTIFULL 🙏👍😍♥️
Love the car. Not a fan of the colour though.
I wonder what the "undercoating" in the trunk is hiding? Sold fast despite the hefty price tag.
Burning Jay rubber wow 😊
This Plymouth is BS!! BadAss!!
I’m not really digging this car
Just not the same without real horse power. Nice car, but no "Muscle Car".
