Can someone please explain the galvanizing process?
Ciao. I recorded the midi synth parts which are then sent to my machines, I sampled various parts of the song and changed a little bit the structure. I redid the drums and remixed the song. while the track is spinning I play parts, make loops and work on the synths with filters and effects.
You have to make sure the surface you want to galvanize is very clean. I recommend a degreasing tank. Leave the part to dry. Next you need to treat the surface by pickling it in either hydrochloric or sulfuric acid. This further cleans the surface removing any oxidation. Once you have done this spray it with flux (zinc chloride and ammonium chloride) which acts as a surfactant that will help the zinc bond. Let any excess drip off. After that you dip in your molten zinc bath. About 10 minutes should do. Best to quench it in water after that and then maybe grind of any sharp bits. Good luck. Hope that helps.

Incredible tribute 🔥🔥 I saw The Chemical Brothers live for the first time last year and it was amazing. But how much were they actually playing live compared to the amount of work you are doing on this session?
Thank you. the most difficult thing in the whole set is programming the synthesizers, drum machines and samplers. Then, having many more machines they are able to have synths dedicated individually for each song, so they can modulate the sounds or rhythms.
Surely they can't play everything live, most of the work is programming, then they play the parts they need, mix and have fun
