I have a Studio D’ artisan white T Shirt. I paid about £80 for it online. Ironically I wear it during the colder weather under other clothing (out of sight) because it’s warm. I do wear it occasionally on it’s own but not on a hot day as it’s thick cotton and can be too hot. It’s a slim fit so keep trim or your stomach will show. Worth every penny 🤍
I have the suvin gold dartisan t shirt. Again the external texture is a lot more rough than a regular t shirt. However the inside was pretty soft out of the bag. Since then it has been washed and dried a fair few times. Straight out the dryer it’s (like jeans) a bit crisp feeling, probably due to its weight. After a couple hours wear though it is super soft. I’m my experience the longer you own and therefore wash and dry your shifts the softer they will become. Also great video, very well edited framed and ordered. Keep up the good work!
That’s awesome to hear. I really like the shirt thus far…fits so dang well. And thank you for the feedback on the video! I’m no videographer but I’m having a blast
Well done comparison and subscribed!!!! I also have several SDA Suvin Gold Tees and you are 100% correct about the weight, heft and quality. A great comparison would be the N&F heavy weight T VS the Brave Star Selvage 8.5 OZ Heavy Weight T. BSS has excellent quality at the 26.00 USD price point.
Hey! Your vids are awesome- glad to have found you. I just bought a 4 pack of white Levis t shirts for $11 (heavily reduced, & an old favourite that is perfect out of the box) lol, but I have been eyeing the ' whitesville ones and the SD ones for a longer lasting option. My husband is 6'2 and I'm 5'1 and know the sizing will fit me lengthwise, but even an XL may be too short for him even if we were to cold wash/hang dry. Did you find these shrunk much/at all after washing? Thanks!
These two not much shrinkage. I did get some Whitesville T’s and they shrunk a lot lengthwise. They are true undershirts. For his size I’d probably pick a different brand unless he likes the 50’s greaser-tight look
I got the Iron Heart 11oz t shirt just because i wanted to feel what the heaviest t shirt would feel like, no doubt it will last a long time if not decades
Thanks man! Gotta say they’ve held up pretty well. I still wear them both. The Studio D shirt looks basically brand new other than a little wear around the neck
so i had a strike gold tshirt that is loopwheeled fabric but it does have the side seams because its in the largest western size being a 4L. if your a big guy i think the only loopwheeled t with no seams is possibly a merz b shwannen (check spelling) loving my strike gold white t so much i thought id get another white tshirt from the boys at corelection and i wanted to figure out the tshirt thing going forward so i would know which tshirt to get. so i grabbed a momotaro white tshirt (OK - fits well, has a cool little triangle under the neck like a sweater, no idea what that is called), studio d artisan 7oz usa cotton tshirt. ( better little snug but better) a flat head loopwheeled t no side seams. (the flat head loopwheeled t comes off the largest loopwheeler in japan i think, it was too small for me) So rather sad, i arranged to return the flat head and was looking at a replacement and thats when i found it. Boncoura White pocket T in 42 (2XL) fabric weight of 9oz. this tshirt is a man amongst boys. its a beast. the quality is freaking insane. has a fitting based a little on old kimono style fittings, it has side seams but its the GOAT. i think that Boncoura might be my favourite brand after getting this one. their basics are astonishingly good. if your in the market for 4 $100 tshirts just skip them and get the GOAT of all tshirts if you can. now to get that eye wateringly expensive heather gray hoodie from them before i am too old to pull it off!!
i´ve got the Studio dártison. As German I usually buy Merz b. Schwanen Tees. But these are different. The Germany use their biolical cotton from Greece. Studie Dártison use japanese cotton as far as i know. Japan´s cotton is the best in the world. The Studios D´seems to be thiker than Merzs one. At the end both are wrth to buy. I cannot say wich one i prefer. Maybe the Studio D´Artisons...
good timing with this video - I'm actually considering buying the Studio D'Artisan tee, but in black. My only reservation is the very prominent stitching, as you point out. But if the fabric is heavy and it fits well then that's the main thing What's the denim jacket you put on at the end? I like the slightly longer collar on it - has a kind of vintage feel
After wearing it I can say the stitching and texture didn’t bother me at all. It’s a great shirt, but I am still on the fence as to whether it is worth it or not. The jacket is indeed vintage, my dad’s from the late 70’s. : )
Troof! I actually switched to aluminum free deodorant a few months before I made this video and still use it exclusively. Doesn’t last as long but seems to keep the T’s crispy lol
The more you wash the softer it will get Be careful if you are going to buy the sizing between brands is crazy I’m an xl in one brand and a medium in another Some of the brands shrink a lot the first wash so ask before you buy about that I’m a huge fan of this loop wheel stuff they will last me years and they keep their shape
I think it’s a fun novelty, but the reality is they will become ready overtime just like all white T-shirts. But who am I to tell anybody how to spend their money. Personally, I like pro club T-shirts.

I’m in Texas, but I actually prefer a thicker T-shirt in the heat. Thin ones turn into something akin to Kleenex on me, lol

I’ve acquired a few of those too! I have another video in the works that might do just as you’ve suggested! Thank you for watching!
I didn't even realize Bravestar had white t-shirts too. I just bought a couple on your recommendation. Thank you!
Can you do a follow up video on both shirts, and see how they are working out for you after some ware time

Loro Piana, an Italian fabric manufacture & RTW designer sells a $3,000 CDN white t shirt. Tom Ford's sell for $500 & Zegna's sell for $1,000
I got the Iron Heart 11oz t shirt just because i wanted to feel what the heaviest t shirt would feel like, no doubt it will last a long time if not decades
Iron Heart’s stuff looks beautiful, especially the shirts. I don’t think I’m quite “there” yet, from a cost perspective.
Freenote has a 13oz tee and it’s also amazing.
I’ve definitely been checking out some Freenote stuff…I fear I may have gone a little overboard on t shirts though, lol
Try wonderlooper- the heaviest!
If you like weight, Try the Wonder Looper triple heavy weight that is dropping this spring
Awesome channel! Love the music vibe. Do they last longer than the regular white shirts?
Thanks man! Gotta say they’ve held up pretty well. I still wear them both. The Studio D shirt looks basically brand new other than a little wear around the neck
premium t shirts i would only buy grey or off white. a few washes and the white loses its glow unless treated with something
I don’t mind the aging tbh. Fading/wear is part of the process for me. But yeah, they aint staying bright white or deep black for very long

The only possible way I could feel stupider after buying a $100 tshirt is buying a $100 tshirt with side seams.

Loop wheeled is worth it if u understand the process and what you are buying
Agreed
Great content! May i know what is your height? And what sizes for each of the tee did you purchased

Great video. What are those brown shoes you got on?
Thank you! Those are the Red Wing Wacouta boots.
If you don't want yellow stains on your shirts stop using the cheap deodorants and get one without aluminum
Troof! I actually switched to aluminum free deodorant a few months before I made this video and still use it exclusively. Doesn’t last as long but seems to keep the T’s crispy lol
Great video mate! 👍
Thanks man! Big fan!

Thanks for the review and comparison!
Thanks for the view!

Had these two for well over a year and they look infinitely better than any of my old white tshirts
High quality review,Thanks
Appreciate the kind words!
Great vid
From the video, the naked and famous one looks more like an undershirt.
That’s fair, but it’s a really high quality t
@@HeroHeritage I want to buy the Studio D'artisan one, but I've heard Japanese size is a bit smaller. Did you need to size up?
