Hi! Fun reaction and discussion, as usual! I do want to say (without spoilers) that you, Carly, are mostly on the right track about bodies. Lucifer and Amenadiel _are_ in their regular angel bodies. Lucifer's devil face...well, that would be a spoiler, but the fact that he calls it his "devil face" rather than his "true face" is a clue. And demons do look scary by default, but they're also natural shapeshifters, so they can play various roles when torturing people in hell. As for mom...that's a discussion for later. ☺
You Ladies are still tip-toeing around the mouth of this rabbit hole. This is where the story really starts to get good. I think this is where the cast and creators really start to soar , so hang on.

I wish we would *REALLY* get to hear Chloe (Lauren, actually) sing (seriously). Yes, I know there are a couple _"attempts"_ in future seasons. I'm told that Lauren has a beautiful singing voice, but refuses to do so on TV. She's such a *private* person (which is her prerogative), so who knows *why?* Maybe she'll record something in the future ... Then there's her *DANCING* ... 😀
I always adore your reactions ladies. I noticed you mentioned during your last video and at the beginning of this episode that Lucifer used the blade. Lucifer did not use the blade during the rebellion what Mum said was if he had the blade things would have turned out differently. Maze, Lucifer and Amenadiel are in their own bodies, the show did not explain why half of Maze’s face was burned off but that happened during battle but this is explained in the comics.
I had to think about Amenadiel's statement about Lucifer bringing his ring to earth. Then I realized it's *technically* true for reasons that would be a Season 5 (5x04, IIRC) spoiler. I need to re-watch the retro _"City of Angels"_ episode to see if I spot it there.
if you guys have seen the show Grimm it is like when the Wesen Vogue and show their Monster face that is the same as lucifers devil face or mazikeens demon face but they have their actual bodies charlotte is possessing a human body
This episode will forever pass me off...... Lucifer is arguably the strongest entity in DC Universe and this show allowing Maze to do that much damage is just disrespectful smh

Daniel Canngieter even his brothers cant hurt him in the comics, there lucifer has god like healing ability and god like invulnerability, and he literally created his own universe because he despised his father. He can also create souls and he has many many many other unlimited powers. He’s literally Nigh-Omnipotent in the comics, they made him weak in the show.
Ever since the first few episodes I found it kinda eye roll inducing how Lucifer is the ruler of hell, Maze is one of his millions (or whatever) of minions, and yet way too often the show portrays their relationship as if their roles are reversed.
Their relationship has changed since the start of the show. In the first few episodes, it was clear that Lucifer was the boss and Maze would go only so far and no farther. As it became clear that Lucifer had given up the throne of hell and was not planning to return, and Maze had to live out her life on earth, she began to see Lucifer as her equal and had no problem challenging him. But if you notice when they fight, Lucifer always hold back. As an angel he is much stronger than Maze, but never unleashes his full strength on her. I've noticed that. They fight to a draw in this episode, when Lucifer could very easily destroy her.

So she possesses human body for temporary because, the human body can’t t contain her for long; she is a very powerful being. When it comes to Lucifer and amanadel. they are angels. when they come down to earth they are literally angels form but when they appear to humans they show themselves as the other Person wants them to see . Why would Lucifer *WANT* to be the _"favorite son"?_ It's sort of like what Tevya said in _Fiddler on the Roof_ -- something like, _"If we're your chosen people, could You choose someone else for awhile?"_ Perhaps that was written from the perspective that Lucifer was the favorite *at the time.* Probably less so after his failed rebellion.
In S1, there was a scene in the penthouse where Lucifer said to Amenadiel, "It's not like God can send his favorite son to hell! Oh sorry!" that is, Lucifer considered himself and was considered the favorite son before his fall by the rest of his siblings, including Amenadiel.
Next time on this channel: Carly and Aurora explaining to the audience why LA was wiped out by some sort of divine explosion !!! Eye witnesses claim 'I have seen the devil !', news channels report that there was an ongoing police operation at the Lux the time the explosion went off. I hope that this will not happen. Why ? Because I want to see Amenadiel running around with a big smile on his face for at least the next ten episodes. He is God's favorite !!! I think his old angelic ego comes back... Anyway: Enjoy watching the finale of season 2 of Lucifer. It's great ! And dont push it too hard. I don't believe the angels are inhabiting human bodies. I believe what we see is the actual bodies of the angels. I'm guessing their mother is normally just a radiant ball of light.
