Also State Penitentiaries vary from State to State and so does some of their basic mission statements and so forth. The minimum security level penitentiaries are usually not so bad. But when you’re talking about maximum security prisons…you’re basically in hell. Then the Supermax Prisons like ADX Florence….you are in your cell I believe 23 hours a day. But this prison in this documentary seems like the cells are like a one room suite you could rent here in the states. Looks like they treat the inmates much more like human beings than just garbage and the guard seems like he genuinely cares about rehabilitation and the welfare of the prisoners. Which is what penitentiaries are supposed to be about, rehabilitation through paying your debt to society by being confined away from them and then try to come out a better person.

Let me tell you something about Rahova prison. The conditions are far better than other prisons in Romania. One of the explanations is that it is a "transit prison", meaning that many convicts are being held there while their trial is still ongoing or are about to be transfered to other prisons. There are far worse prisons in Romania. Case in point, the Giurgiu Penitenciary. They simply slowly let you die there.
In my opinion as a romanian they have it way too good and this is causing people not to be afraid of prison. They'll say: "I'll get 6 months and I'll be out, so what?" Prisons should be about the punishment, not for prisoners to have the same conditions as some student dorms, I think this is the first prison I've seen to have a market within it.

1 to 7 my god 1 to 7 is a bloody luxury compared to a lot of other complete prisons where it's about 200 people sharing bucket or a hole in the ground tea coffee sugar on shelves you kidding me
No homeless in Canada wanna go to jail. Homeless people get more food from people mercy, in prison you die of hunger if your family dont help you with money.
Malaysia prison just have a small toilet for being used many inmates and for 10 feets square cell is sharing for 12 inmates with single toilet. This prison is luxurious then Malaysian prisons and free doc needed to documented Malaysia prison
Thats a good prison kitchen. I loved working in the kitchen in my month in jail. Time flew and the head chef (actual employee) was a good dude with a great sense of humor
The Tate brothers were never sent to prison. They were only kept “under arrest” which means that they spent these months inside the cells of local police stations, which are far worse than what you see here.
It's absolute normality throughout the EU, the prison is focused on reintegration unlike 3rd world countries (including the US) where they just lock people up and throw away the key
The worst CO is the ones that are your friend one day and locking you up the next day. You have to be consistent and be by the book. My father was a CO for 23 years and because he was strict but fair and honest. When they had a riot 12 inmates walked my dad off the compound and other COs that were fair. The ones that took pleasure in making life miserable for the inmates were not. They were beaten up so badly only 2 of 9 were able to work again.
Even if you have anything you want, honestly being away from the world and your loved ones, after a while it hurts, especially if they need your help and you can’t. Or they get hurt or they pass away. It sucks. It’s better to do good and be home
Seems a lot "better" than US prison, especially the non maximum security section where they can be outside their cell for a lot of the day...still being locked up and having no freedom or privacy sucks.
$25 is the real price for food nowadays even in Europe so they have a kitchen TV they have basically more space within the cell alone then what a lot of people do living in very small apartments across America in Europe now actually says it all in terms of why maybe crime is up
When their prison cell comes equipped with a lot more amenities than our country's 3rd world country slums lol most of the poorest of the poor here in the Philippines would rather be locked up there than live freely lol. Their cell is equivalent to renting a $100 a month apartment here.
As someone who's served time in there 2 years ago and some other 2 prisons in Romania under the same sentence (they tend to transfer inmates frequently), I can admit conditions were decent.
Tate brothers have not been in any prison. They been only in detention (arest) in Romania. Basically, the worst place in Romania to be. Prisons have much better conditions but they can only send you there if you have a final sentence. Otherwise, you need to spend some months on the police station itself (arest) and this one’s they haven’t been upgraded at all since communism. The conditions are indeed compared like in some South American countries. And you can really get sick if you spend to much time in there. Most of the criminals in Romania they just stay there only 1-2 months then after are sent to prison. But for a person to spend 6 months there it’s indeed horrible. Only if you want to kill someone with a disease you will try that. That’s why there are no documentaries about the “arest” places in Romania as they can’t allow anyone to see the dare conditions in there. Not dangerous as for conflicts but more because of the diseases are there from the lack of conditions.
This is almost a hotel if compare with some countries that over 50 inmates share the same small room where was suppose to have around 10 , most of them sleeping on the concrete .
dont you think cells are over crowded in Romania ? you had the air court in a cage ? I ve heard there are private prisons in US that have better conditions and people pay to be there.
I've never been to prison but what I have heard about prisons in the US, they seem way worse. Regardless of the massive security, these prisoners seem to be treated like people. Respect is reciprocated. In the US, prisons aim to 'rehabilitate' by dehumanizing people and some of the guards should be in prison, themselves. The US prison system is a business and most are corrupt.
There were prisons where the guards were the inmates themselves. One of these locations was at Poarta Albă. I used to travel every day close by its gates and fences. Not sure if is still the case.
11:52 wow if that is a thorough search, I don’t wanna see what a quick patdown is! 🤦🏼♂️ Great job on the security and the search for contraband. You can hide a shank anywhere even inside of your body. This wouldn’t fly in an American prison!

Try Giurgiu's Prison, Romania next time. There is a special category of "high risk prisoners". Thats where you eat once a 2 days. Rahova is a "kids playground".
Even the food looks ok! 😊😊
1 to 7 my god 1 to 7 is a bloody luxury compared to a lot of other complete prisons where it's about 200 people sharing bucket or a hole in the ground tea coffee sugar on shelves you kidding me
These prisoners live better than homeless people in Canada.
No homeless in Canada wanna go to jail. Homeless people get more food from people mercy, in prison you die of hunger if your family dont help you with money.
This is where A*drew and Tristan will be going soon, maybe it's a different one but I they made it seem like such a big deal.
they are already there again
Malaysia prison just have a small toilet for being used many inmates and for 10 feets square cell is sharing for 12 inmates with single toilet. This prison is luxurious then Malaysian prisons and free doc needed to documented Malaysia prison
Amazing content
Thats a good prison kitchen. I loved working in the kitchen in my month in jail. Time flew and the head chef (actual employee) was a good dude with a great sense of humor
I want to hear those who said that the tates were kept with insects and treated bad
The Tate brothers were never sent to prison. They were only kept “under arrest” which means that they spent these months inside the cells of local police stations, which are far worse than what you see here.
No prison uniforms in this prison? They’re wearing regular clothes like any ordinary citizens in free world!
Heh, why spend citizen’s tax money on prisoners clothes. They either bring their own or have none 😂
You should check out the Singapore prison. Now that one is harsh.
alina is the jail mommy
right she's so cute

The prison looks like 2 star hotel.
This place is luxery compared to other places

The men aren’t handsome too
@@AdinaEcstasy nor are the women
Looks pretty luxurious truth be told.
The prison food looked pretty good to me. I love cabbage, potatoes, pork
No kidding I make that at home and I enjoy it a lot
Good hunkie food just like moms!
Thanks for these prison documentaries.
this should be called the most luxurious prison...a cell with a kitchen, shower, electricity and toilet damn that's luxurious for prison life.
Just because it's comfortable compared to other prisons it doesn't mean it's not dangerous.
@@Boston82bl who said anything about "danger" 👀!!!
It's absolute normality throughout the EU, the prison is focused on reintegration unlike 3rd world countries (including the US) where they just lock people up and throw away the key
Awesome!! I wonder what camera they used to film this...
ALINA look mean! Sheesh, Alina on me......😂
This prison is so much better than the South Cotobato Prison in Philippines.
At least they all have their own bed in their cell.
After long time…More behind bars frequently pls
Imagine seeing Andrew Tate in one of the cells
Excellent video!!
Seems a lot "better" than US prison, especially the non maximum security section where they can be outside their cell for a lot of the day...still being locked up and having no freedom or privacy sucks.
$25 is the real price for food nowadays even in Europe so they have a kitchen TV they have basically more space within the cell alone then what a lot of people do living in very small apartments across America in Europe now actually says it all in terms of why maybe crime is up
A perfect location in case of a zombie apocalypse
When their prison cell comes equipped with a lot more amenities than our country's 3rd world country slums lol most of the poorest of the poor here in the Philippines would rather be locked up there than live freely lol. Their cell is equivalent to renting a $100 a month apartment here.
It’s soooo hard for those prisoners! Hopefully they didn’t miss their episode Friends and banana pudding that day 🙄
This looks so much better than the prison in Haiti or Brazil
As someone who's served time in there 2 years ago and some other 2 prisons in Romania under the same sentence (they tend to transfer inmates frequently), I can admit conditions were decent.
these cells look like my college dorms
The tate brothers!
They didnt go here😂😂😂
Tate brothers have not been in any prison.
I think a prison with even a supermarket that a luxurious one.😁😂
This is almost a hotel if compare with some countries that over 50 inmates share the same small room where was suppose to have around 10 , most of them sleeping on the concrete .
Aleyna is fire though 🔥
Please make documentaries about the prisons in Nigeria
I’m pretty sure the teams are on it but i’ll check and thanks for the suggestion!
Im from
Romania, didnt knew our prisons are so bad😮
I’m ngl…that cell is better than any cell I ever had in the US.
How many cells u had hmm
@@Alex-gt5ho too many homie
dont you think cells are over crowded in Romania ? you had the air court in a cage ?
I ve heard there are private prisons in US that have better conditions and people pay to be there.
I've never been to prison but what I have heard about prisons in the US, they seem way worse. Regardless of the massive security, these prisoners seem to be treated like people. Respect is reciprocated. In the US, prisons aim to 'rehabilitate' by dehumanizing people and some of the guards should be in prison, themselves. The US prison system is a business and most are corrupt.
Incredible that we romanians pay taxes for those killers so they can live like a normal student life .
Totusi, ține cont ca asta e un documentar. E făcut intenționat să arate bine și interesant.
The gaurd is my new crush 😍
Hy from Romania
How's this a tough prison ??
Come to South Africa you'll see what tough is

Alina is more beautiful than most of the Bollywood actress.
And they compare Romanian prison with indian one 😅😅 100% different people, religion, aspect and all.
