91 points last season. Off to a flier this season. 60 points docked this season and they would probably still avoid relegation with 31 points. 27 points would have kept you up in the 23/24 season.
Was about to say this if they are to take points it will be the lower end to give them a chance to stay up, plus that’s why I think city are starting with lots of heat this season compared to the other seasons to give them selves a chance to stay up. But I think they should get the high end of the points get relegated so it stays to be three down three up and it doesn’t disrupt the other leagues down.
@@ryketG1 If they get a deduction that guarantees relegation then the FA won't announce it until right near the end of the season I reckon. If they hand it out in January then City are going to rest a load of players in the league and go all out for the cups which will piss off the clubs who've already played them before that point.

I think the Leicester case highlighted more general PL incompetence so I doubt their case will hold water when push comes to shove. Wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t already realised this, offered an agreement and got rebuffed!

Expect? Sure, I expect City’s attorneys to be a lot better than the Prem’s and be able to wiggle out. But make no mistake, there’s no real wiggle room here for them to get a slap on the wrist. If it goes all the way without settlement, they either beat the rap entirely or they get relegated.
Personally, I expect both sides to ultimately settle on some agreed upon punishment that will make everyone pissed off, including city fans.

If it's a huge amount of points deduction as per the title, I reckon should be dished out per season just enough so they'd always just come 2nd without prize money, until all points are deducted. So if they come 2nd or lower, they won't get points deducted in that season. But should be enough for the morale of they players to know they won't win the PL any time soon.

Say 70 breaches will stick watertight, and this is being lenient towards Manchester City, they must get a point deduction of 280 points (every breach means minus 4 points).

They should have a 15 point deduction at the start of the season for the next 8/9 years. That way PL benefits from them staying in the league, and they will still more than likely quaiify for europe every year, but winning the league would be nearly impossible.
I think 100points is better get relegated which means all there big players would have to go and have to restart again which would take them 2-3 more season to win leagues again unless Pep stays which would be a story, them going down win the champ and then win the PL the year they come back into it.

They can not be 100% innocent. Remember they have been expelled from european football for 2 years only for uefa to prioritise a fast definitive decision to avoid drama which led to MCFC to win the appeal in that case. But... Premier League has different approach than UEFA, they don't care how long it takes to punish punish someone that broke the rules in their opinion (remember that they are the ones that made the rules in the first place, so they know what they are talking about).

Finally someone with sense on here. Most comments are either about psr or going on about City as a club now. The charges are all historic (2009 - 2018) and about fraudulent account reporting or delaying of information. A quick Google search would inform them of how serious this actually is.

I've noticed Manchester city have started the season win win win win ... They're not giving teams their traditional head start because they know there is a chance they might be docked points... Micro clubs like Everton and Nottingham forest get deducted points pretty quickly... Different rules for Chelsea and Manchester city... Not good for the integrity of the game not good at all

The sponsor deal was the same case with UEFA. The outcome will be similar I believe unless the PL has obtained additional evidence that was not available to UEFA.
