THOMAS THE GREAT RACE Train Set | Minor eBay Haul Rant

Everything is cool! Alright - so I was a little upset that the seller shipped a vintage Thomas set in the box for the set and but tape all over it. The listing clearly showed an untaped box. Plus the tape was brown and not clear. Anyway, my disappoint quickly subsides when I realize that there are some awesome extras in the set (despite missing 2 pieces - the tunnel and Clarabel). Overall - pleased with the set, disappointed with the shipping, seller has received POSITIVE FEEDBACK. I honestly think they didn't think the buyer would mind. Most people throw away boxes anyway. The set worked though I think the performance has slipped from the way it was intended. We got Thomas, Annie, another Annie, 2 Berties, Elizabeth, Bulgy, Duncan, Billy, some trucks and a tanker. A great find!

you have to make sure the gates are in the correct position. the red Stop sign parts are supposed to be facing the train tracks. that way the engine pushes the gates open every time and then the gates close by themselves when the train leaves.
unfortunetly, you do have to hit the button everytime to let the road characters go through, but I took some scotch tape and placed it on the end of the ramps so they stay in the up position so I didn't need to hit the button anymore.

Just re-watching this in 2020. Its always sad when something like this happens, when a seller does not take any care when shipping, just last Christmas I bought a vintage hornby set and when it arrived the box was damaged, the loco was damaged, and worst of all, it didn´t even run!

Reminds me of the time Leokimvideo. His package had Xmas wrapping paper, and it wasn’t even good. The edges weren’t taped correctly. People don’t care how they package stuff, and that’s a big fault because it shows how careless people are.
