Stupes playing Robert and Byron was impressive enough. But to manage to play Cassie there, too, was simply perfection.
I didn't realize that Cassie was also him when I watched it for the first time.
@@alial3437 Stumpendium goes by they/them pronouns, but considering that they still tend to present masculine that's a fair thing to mistake.
But yeah, I only realized it after my 3rd watch that they were acting as Cassie, super impressive work!
I find it funny how you were surprised by Byron Brimstone's eyes after the numerous times he very not-that-subtly hinted that he isn't human and only realized after seeing them
The sound work was great in this one. Like the bit near the end were the lone drunk was singing alone, but the rest of the singers were muffled through the walls.
Here’s a story breakdown for you my friend, 3:54 the day of wraith, bats took the city of London Underground. 8:20 literal devils, they live next to hell. 8:43 believe that those tentacles might be from the kraken looking people. 11:43 satan magic, don’t worry about it. 12:22 I present to you a spy from hell. 13:15 no as in its like a minor issue, you get stabbed to death, wait like half an hour and you’ll be fine. 14:52 INTRODUCING THE MASTERS OF THE BAZAAR, the rulers of London they each rule a different aspect of life down there, their the masters Harry talks about when he says the biscuit rations are going up.
Specifically for the Masters bit, we’ve got Mr. Pages singing this entire bit (aside from the part where the other masters join in for a few lines), the master in charge of literature, the written word, and all things literary. It’s love of language is why so many of the words in this section are… not actual words, but still technically grammatically correct. It likes to invent its own words like that. It’s also in charge of the census and is collecting love stories from the populace for definitely not nefarious reasons…

When the character onscreen says you must be here with the Ministry and you, no hesitation, just responded "I am," I can't explain why but that alone told me I was gonna enjoy this reaction.

Coincidentally, the Traitor Empress who made the deal that got London taken by bats is Queen Victoria herself.
(She makes the deal for Albert's life. She gets monkey pawed and it's not London being taken that's the monkey paw.)

In the game, (big spoiler alert) Prince Albert dies and Queen Victoria makes a deal (to bring him back) with a crew of giant bats in cloaks that work for a giant crab which sails through space on stone pigs to deliver messages for THE SUN but who is, at this current moment, crying herself to sleep every night in a pool of her own tears and stress-eating while doing her side hustle as a marketplace in her illegal daughter's house where she collects love stories she can use to justify breaking caste and getting openly jiggy with THE SUN, her baby daddy and owner, to make him ignore that his current crush has turned him down because, if he finds out, he may well die of grief.
