This quick tutorial is for pair of long velvet gloves. I used about half a metre of fabric for this project and no sewing patterns.

An additional tip: you can sew a 1/2” elastic on the opening of the glove to prevent it from rolling down, I’ve done this before and it makes it so much more secure when I wear them for longer periods of time. Gorgeous end result by the way and it looks so luxurious with the bag you paired it with ❤️

This video came just in time for me. I need some new gloves for Winter and this was the perfect video for me to watch how it's done properly. I have to wear gloves all of the time as I am allergic to the sun and some indoor lighting. I can rarely find gloves that fit me properly as my hands are very small for an adult. Now I will have gloves that actually fit me! Thank you so much for this tutorial!

Tip: for easy sewing, sew through the marked lines for the glove shape before cutting the shapes to fingers. After sewing then cut out the glove. I don’t know if I'm making sense in the explanation 😅.

Thank for the tutorial! For me it was better to cut them after sew them, so I could manipulate the fabric better specially on the finger tips :)

Can I use a non stretch fabric if I cut it on the bias?
Be sure you are using 4 way stretch or this will be a lot harder
Does anyone know what type of material of fabric I should buy?
For the gloves to easily slip on and off, I’d recommend a stretchy fabric like jersey, scuba, velvet, or fabrics with high elastin fibres
