Ennio Morricone was one of the greatest film composers of all time. Many of his compositions rank among my favorite songs. I have spent countless hours at the piano with his melodies, and this particular song was a joy to sing and record. Although we still have his prolific body of work to listen to and enjoy, the man and his musical genius will be sorely missed.
