My husband stepped out on me and my baby a few months ago...moved out and has been living his life outside of our marriage. He doesn't care to see his baby and left me feeling broken and abandoned. I've had to sit back and watch as he's dating other women like we're not married. I've been crying every day for months, but now starting to pick up the pieces bit by bit. This song helps me find a new piece of me everyday; new strength to move forward. Thank God for loving and never forsaking me. 💙
"In Gadd We Trust".
Bass Guitarists Union 😁
Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤
For almost as long as I have been a dyed-in-the-wool Gaddict, I have held Jimmy Johnson (AKA Flim) as my favorite bassist. The summer of 1979 a guitarist from Minneapolis joined our band and brought with him the most extraordinary album I had ever heard to date: Flim and the BBs. I bought twelve copies of that album and sold them all in two days to the music majors back in Fayette, Missouri. Jimmy's distinct sound, style and finesse have kept him at the top of my list, and of course, as a drummer, I could never fully express my admiration, awe and gratitude to the magnificent Steve Gadd. What a pleasure it is to listen to this phenomenal band!
wonderful to watch these masters at work. Gadds hands are just sublime to watch
No show with flashing lights or smoking machines . . . the music is the show, and that's for that!
Charlie Haden said that 90% of music is spiritual. This definitely is!
YOWZA ! This is SPECTACULAR ! ❤️🧡💛
AMAZING TEAM OF MASTERS AT WORK! Thank you Steve for holding it all TOGETHER!
The groove that keeps you guessing what's coming next is state-of-the-art. Superb performance! Thanks, Steve. Back in my days at the Peabody Conservatory (late 70's) the percussion majors all knew and admired you. I was a violin/comp major but I was even taught to play one of your drum rhythms. I play it to this day with a smile. :^) I went to one of my percussion buddy's apartment where I saw a several percussionists sitting and playing on a 2x4 drum pad. That was a good sound to see them all synced-up playing different rhythms. I miss those days. Anyway, stay safe, brother. And that goes for all the other players. The LORD bless you and watch over you-always.
Really inspiring. I love Michael Landaus blues solo on green foam

but the video-postproducer had no idea how to play any musical instrument! many close ups are completely out of time or show the wrong instrument... ;-)

James Taylor's band. I know, I know - much more than that, actually.
Ez nem a teljes koncert. Hiányzik kb. fél óra!
Anyone knows what pickups Landau was using?
Any chance you could upload this again. The audio is out sync with the video...Thanks so much !
O can't find any other Videos of Stevr Gadd on UA-cam. Wonder why not?
There's plenties of videos with Steve. From this tour for example you can find the gig at the Jazzfestival Leverkusen.

Beautiful, who is the bass player ?
hanzi watdan Jimmy Johnson......started that 5 string revolution. Check out Lee Ritenour Harlequin album. A lot
of the old GRP stuff featuring Jimmy, Abraham Laboriel, Anthony Jackson, Nathan East. Jimmy still kills it.
Yes the boys from James Taylor, perfect balance, calm in nice notes frames ,I recqenais the smooth sound and timing from Jimmy Johnson.I have 3 absolute bass heroes, Ray Brown - James Jamerson and Jimmy Johnson, Unique in music history.
I agree with eddy - it would be great if you could upload again, as it's wonderful, but out of sync...
Fix the sync please
33:00
Dal min 10:08 il brano decolla forte......

Music guaranteed to drop you into the depths of depression.
I think depression is good for spirit.
IA música qué hacen no tiene patas ni orejas
"Some kind of SHIT?" - this is the name for this work.
Sound is poorly synchronized, this is distracting
Music: fantastic.
Sound is not synchronized,: terrible!
Walt has lost some weight. Didn't recognize him.
A great concert, but sadly way out of sync!
Как-то уныло. Стиви постарел, но ещё в большущем порядке.
What a horrible shame that video is! This director completely ruined what otherwise would have been a masterpiece with the most numerous and hideous jump-cuts I've ever seen & I've seen more than most. This should be used in classes for EXACTLY how NOT to video/direct a music performance AND he should be made an example of publicly after a severe bitch slapping as the words "YOU ARE NOT PART OF THE SHOW" are screamed repeatedly in his face.
I couldn't watch it after about 15 min. had to shut my eyes and just listen. Re-watch it and notice the goddam leader of the band, the guy who's name is in the title is the victim of less (seriously), less (literally) than 3 second cuts before ANOTHER jump-cut to someone else... over and Fn over.
I know this is not going to be cool or group think agreement but the first to pieces are pretty boring as a WHOLE. Not this does not diminish or a comment on the individuals talent of these great players -especially Gadd's history of success and excellence but not really exciting or musically as a GROUP interesting. Yeah there are some high points but honestly really boring. I know there will be attacks on this comment. "OH my god he is criticizing Gadd's band-what does he know?" Well maybe nothing but I am just giving my opinion no matter if this isn't in agreement with group think or someone else induvial belief and taste but again these first two tracks are BORING full of clichés and non interest.. Steve you are a great player though. Thank you for your composite output through the years
Steve Gadd is outstanding /groove and timing/, but I have problem with the trumpet. His sound is NOT jazz to me. Would be interesting with Joe Lovano (sax) in this group.
Elevator music. Charles Bukowski on drums.
bad dull compositions , sorry , verry cliché .
The groove swings!
