I know, right? I have done the Normal and True Pacifist runs, so naturally I was curious on the Genocide run to experience everything the game has to offer. But after learning that the game saves it on your file forever (which is bullshit as there should be an option to reset back to no data whatsoever *because it's a fucking video game*), I started looking for ways to delete the flag on my file if I so chose to do the run at some point. The fucking condescending attitudes are unreal. You would think that they take this as something that is actually real. I've seen plenty of responses to topics about resetting after genocide say something like "Do you think you're above consequences?" and "Let them live in peace". It blows my mind how much these people really feel the need to be pricks about this. And really, why wouldn't you want to try each run? Hell, most games that have alternate endings encourage you to try them all through extra unlockables and achievements/trophies.

(they co-piloted asriel’s body) and yeah, alphys spilled determination on a thing of golden flowers and it bloomed flowey ALSO: the human you name in the beginning of the game is the first child, NOT who you play as.
EXCEPT it was Chara's plan to kill the humans BEFORE Asriel even crossed the barrier. Do you remember the dialog in Alphys's lab that said their real plan was to get 6 more souls and break the barrier? What was Chara going to do after that? It's up to you to decide, but based on the fact Chara has intent to kill people, I'd say they were willing to genocide all the humans. That was Asgore's plan too, then again he was never going to follow through on it based on future events. MY conclusion is Chara is evil regardless. Psychopath? Probably not.

For real though, can we get each route in more detail in 3 minutes each? 2:40 He does not kill them. He absorbs their souls while keeping them alive, which should not be possible? 2:46 Asriel Dreemurr was already his name, it just only then names him as that. Plus, he's not actually God of Hyperdeath until the second phase, which you don't show. Also, your Asriel Dreemurr Boss art is wrong... in various places. 3:05 We don't know if they exist at peace. Chances are, and fanfics have it as: Half the humans still hate monsters because monsters and are attempting to demonize them. Overall, a relatively good video, and all of these are pretty high on the nitpick scale.
Thinking back on the story of undertale despite the old retro graphics the story is amazing! Toby fox is a genius, it has been a while since I played a game with such gripping story. True pacifist might be cliched but the way it is written is exceptional.

There is a bunch of evidence that swings both ways about Chara's morality, but she/he is probably not just a complete psychopath. Jebus, I want everyone to stop portraying Chara in a terrible light when in reality it's not confirmed either way.

Both fisk and Chara have no ASSIGNED gender, not no gender. There gender is whatever the hell the player wants it to be. That's also why Fisk doesn't really look like any race either, he's a brilliantly designed character from a visual standpoint because anyone can identify with him, male female, and of any race because the game never tells you what he is. However, asserting that he must be genderless in all interpretations makes Fisk a very closed character that prevents a lot of the identification you could have otherwise. Tl;dr fisk's gender is whatever the hell you want it to be, same with chara.

A little correction on the pacifist story.... Asriel/flowery had enough power from the human souls, that he simply absorbed the monster souls, not killing them. This is stated in the game.
Man, seeing it all together like this makes me wonder how ridiculous the plot would seem to someone seeing this first. Huge difference between spending 3 minutes watching this, 8 hours with one playthrough, and 24 hours doing three separate playthroughs like I did.
I'm not so sure if Chara was ALWAYS a murderous psychopath. Maybe she just really wanted to break the barrier, and lashed out at the people who trapped the first family that was nice to her? In the genocide path, she learns destructive tendencies from the player controlling Frisk. Her problem seems to be that she takes things to the extreme.
The only negative thing that can be said about Chara is that they hated humanity, which explains their desire to kill the humans when they attack Asriel. But that is completely understandable when it comes to musings on real life and the Genocide Route. If Frisk does good as an extension of ourselves, Chara rethinks their (my headcanon labels Chara as a her) stance on humanity; if we go genocidal, Chara is proven right and takes away our happy ending. You know what the worst fandom is? It's fandom of calling everything popular "worst fandom ever". There are crazy fans and bad creation behind everything and because things like Ponies or Minecraft have a lot of fans, it's easy to find something terrible.
Granted, it's always going to be the jerks who are more vocal, but at least two youtubers I watch quit playthroughs of a BLIND run of the game because the fandom was so vocal in their criticism of "not playing the game right." One was Markiplier, who actually decided to give it another shot in a livestream with a friend. He only released 2, and said he had three more videos but scrapped them entirely because he was that disgusted by the way he was treated. I haven't been involved deeply enough in any fandom to see it's darker side, but from I've seen the Undertale fandom is very vocal and negative to LP'ers who don't play the game "right" the first time through.

Gaster is UNpart of the story line. His relevance is really quite minimal as the only character that MIGHT even remember him is Sans and that there's no mention of him without hacking the game files. You have to force him into the game because by the time the game starts he's been completely unpersoned.
well, that use to be the case, but because Toby didnt capitalized the "fun" value for gaster related events, you could only get them by hacking. But in the newest patch, it is now a capital "Fun" which means all the gaster related events can be seen in game without hacking (but requires an insane amount of RNG).

Nah, Chara was definitely evil. Whether or not he wanted to help the monsters he was complicit in the murder of 7 innocent human beings as a result, and that is in lore. There are other examples of Chara being evil as well. Flowey only recognizes you as Chara if you behave in an evil manner (Genocide Ending) If you behave in a strictly pacifist manner he recognizes you as Frisk (True Pacifist ending). Chara is the only of the fallen humans symbolized by a real weapon (The gun is either broken or fake, iirc) in the Real Knife while frisk is represented by the most harmless weapon (a stick). I can give a few more by request.
Kill 6 humans to save 1000000+ Monsters. Sounds like a good trade to me. And who said anything about Innocent? Flowey does NOT recognize you as Not-Chara till at the VERY END. He tells you that he thought you were Chara, though he came to realize you weren't.
For anyone who is watching this and has not played/seen the game, one thing the video missed, its that all the souls in the underground are = to 1 human soul, so when azriel absorbed 6 + all the souls in the underground, it was like he had 7 so he could break the barrier.

Both fisk and Chara have no ASSIGNED gender, not no gender. There gender is whatever the hell the player wants it to be. That's also why Fisk doesn't really look like any race either, he's a brilliantly designed character from a visual standpoint because anyone can identify with him, male female, and of any race because the game never tells you what he is. However, asserting that he must be genderless in all interpretations makes Fisk a very closed character that prevents a lot of the identification you could have otherwise.

It's fandom of calling everything popular "worst fandom ever".
There are crazy fans and bad creation behind everything and because things like Ponies or Minecraft have a lot of fans, it's easy to find something terrible.
Granted, it's always going to be the jerks who are more vocal, but at least two youtubers I watch quit playthroughs of a BLIND run of the game because the fandom was so vocal in their criticism of "not playing the game right." One was Markiplier, who actually decided to give it another shot in a livestream with a friend. He only released 2, and said he had three more videos but scrapped them entirely because he was that disgusted by the way he was treated.
I haven't been involved deeply enough in any fandom to see it's darker side, but from I've seen the Undertale fandom is very vocal and negative to LP'ers who don't play the game "right" the first time through.
I think that all "bad" people are part of the fandom and all normal people who like the game are just Fans.

Gaster is UNpart of the story line. His relevance is really quite minimal as the only character that MIGHT even remember him is Sans and that there's no mention of him without hacking the game files. You have to force him into the game because by the time the game starts he's been completely unpersoned.
well, that use to be the case, but because Toby didnt capitalized the "fun" value for gaster related events, you could only get them by hacking. But in the newest patch, it is now a capital "Fun" which means all the gaster related events can be seen in game without hacking (but requires an insane amount of RNG).

There are other examples of Chara being evil as well. Flowey only recognizes you as Chara if you behave in an evil manner (Genocide Ending) If you behave in a strictly pacifist manner he recognizes you as Frisk (True Pacifist ending).
Chara is the only of the fallen humans symbolized by a real weapon (The gun is either broken or fake, iirc) in the Real Knife while frisk is represented by the most harmless weapon (a stick). I can give a few more by request.

@@maxgachalife1266 Chara is ANOTHER person! It's NOT Frisk! Only because they both have/had the same soul color, that doesn't mean, that they are the same! Also Chara's Soul was destroyed next to Asriel's Soul, when they both returned to the underground after being beaten by the humans! So Frisk's soul is NOT the soul of Chara! And Chara is NOT possessing Frisk! Because we are controling Frisk in the Genocide Route, NOT Chara! And that with the different meanings of the 7 soul colors is NOT true! It's not canon! It's nether in the game files nor in the story itself! And if only Frisk's and Chara's soul were determined, then how could Alphys extract the determination from one of the six NOT RED human souls to inject them to the fallen monster bodys and create the amalgamates in the True Lab? And how could they also inject the determination into the golden flower with Asriel's essence to create Flowey? So that proves that NOT ONLY the red human souls have determination. And that means, that the meaning of the 7 soul colors are not canon and make no sence.

umm.... just to correct you, chara wasn't a psychopath, not even the slightest bit evil, but otherwise this is accurate.

Although there are enough signs of psychopathy. For example, the vids that you can find on that abandoned lab that mentions the child "playfully" stabbing Asriel with a pen, while portraying some rather sinister mischievousness. Even if you can argue that Chara might not be completely evil, it by itself does not counter in anyway their psychopathic tendencies.
