One thing I love about the flip cup method is to see how gravity does it's thing in the cup with the layering and the palette of any given painting.

Always
Can you give some word's of encouragement to my 2 grandson. I told them the not only WOMANS do art painting and I show them your videos and they love it.
I love ho you added the gold to the base!
The skull is cool, almost has an ape-like look to it!
This one turned out really pretty! It's actually amazing me how the Golden colours kept their vibrancy instead of drying darker like other acrylics. Higher quality paints are definitely something I want to invest in further along the road if I continue this hobby as sometimes I wish the colours stayed as bright as when they were wet.
I agree, I have never used Golden before because the price. But they are definately worth it for the pigmentation and color depth! I might have to use them ALOT more in the future!
Johnny WOW!! This piece is exceptional ❤ The colors, the transparency, the composition, I just loooove it! We are all doing well here in Western Australia, hope you are going great sweetheart and life is treating you well! 😊😊
This one is AMAZING J!! It would be GORGEOUS with resin!!
I might have to resin it to make that gold stand out even more now! Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it!
@@JMoPainting yes!! Resin will make all those colors just...POP!! 🤯
Very beautiful!!
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome! ❤️😀
Wow awesome!

Not seeing the skull. Very interesting color combo. I never would have thought to put them together. But i really like it!!😮
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it!

Johnny, I am so glad you gave up silicone, I hate that stuff. You did a gorgeous painting without it, and the colors were magnificent. I loved it.
Gorgeous ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful 😍
Thank you so much!
That is beautiful 😊
Thank you so much I am glad you liked it!
Exceptional
Nice end result. I was surprised that it dried without cracks as the paint looked really thick on the canvas. Nice one!
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it!
Wow❤❤
Lovely. I love a good flip cup. My favorite one to use honestly.
Didn’t love the colors in the cup together but the flip was lovely.
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it!
Doing great! From South Dakota Helloooo
LOL, J It looks like a skull of a tetradactyl haha I love your videos and art, THANK YOU
Beautiful picture
I totally love the pour you did! Colors are amazing. In the painting you did with Mina, I do see the skull, but I also see butterfly wings.
Thank you so much Cynthia I am glad you enjoyed it! Butterfly wings!?! I am going to go look at it again now!
Lol there are a few of them.
I saw it! That was really cool! Mina is Awesome, she is such a great teacher with so much creativity! She will never give you bad direction. This painting you just did, is out of this world; drop dead gorgeous! I love it! The color pallet is beautiful too! Great Job!
Thank you so much! Mina is an amazing human being and I love her! I am glad you liked it!
Good job brother
Absolutely gorgeous, Mina taught you well 😂❤😂
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it!
I can see the skull! That's so cool. This painting looks like a candle holder my son made me in Kindergarten. He took a mason jar and put tissue paper with modpodge on the jar. It looks beautiful when you light a tea light in it. Your painting glows just like that.😊
What a compliment to your son to have achieved JMo's level of artistic inspiration! Try as I might, I just can't quite get to that level. I'm thinking John's talent, technique and skill set may exceed a 5yr olds talent? It definitely exceeds my 54yr old self. I'm just teasing you, I get what you meant. I'm sure John does too!
Aww that sounds so cool! Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it!
There is always something beautiful about the way children see the world and how they epress themselves artistically. They tend to be able to spot things and manipulate colors in a way that some people never would and achieve beautiful results! I totally get where she is coming from!
Beautiful! Will try this recipe using minwax in the place of liquitex medium. The closest store for me is an hour away and I just returned home from there.
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it! Minwax or Liquitex?
I don’t have liquitex medium. I found a Sargent gloss PM in my stash. 😊
Minwax….I meant Polycryllic. I use minwax clear gloss polycryllic to thin paints and either minwax one coat or varathane tripple thick to thicken. 😊 I have only been pouring since January so I appreciate you veterans sharing what you learn! 😊
Stunningly gorgeous! How long does it take to dry?
That is stunning! Did I hear you say you had no silicone in this?? How did you get your cells??
J this looks great. Is it 10 oz of Floetrol or 1 oz?
Yes less silicone is better but that’s my opinion. Keep on doing what you’re doing with the passion you express. I enjoy your work. BTW are you prior military? If so what branch? Oooh Rah Cool vibes. You’ve inspired me to try it too and I’m excited to try bcuz of you.
I saw the skull right away 😮 it's brilliant! 💀 I've really stepped away quite a bit from using silicone, it messes too much when I try to resin or seal my 🎨 paintings. Your pieces are always SO gorgeous 🌷
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it! I will definately be doing more like this in the future
Dry result was so much better than I thought it would be because of the quantity of paint. Did you use any GAC to help prevent cracking? Beautiful piece of work!
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it! Didnt use GAC i just controlled the drying carefully so it didnt crack, I should have poured more off but I was happy with the composition and didnt want it to change
@Jmopainting I have just come across this video on another channel! I'm not sure If you've started a second channel but it seems to be full of your work. It's channel is called "The Painted Journey" I just thought you should know. Love your work and would hate to see someone ripping you off!
This looks great, as always. Am I reading Mina's recipe right: 2 parts liquitex, 1 part paint and TEN (10) PARTS FLOETROL? I just want to make sure as I will be trying this recipe and I usually use 1 part of paint for 2 parts of Floetrol. :D thank you!
This is absolutely gorgeous! I wanted to ask you a question about your invisible swipe mixture. Do you add water to it? I mixed some up yesterday and when I noticed today it was very thick even though it was well sealed. I added a little water but apparently not enough. It was hard to get it to spread out and couldn’t get it to go smoothly down the sides. It seemed like it was starting to set up so now I have ripples on the sides. This is a gallery wrapped canvas so maybe should have used a regular one. Thx for any advice. I love this technique & really want it to work.
For the clear pour over the paints I didnt add water to it. It may be the place you live in the world and temperatures affecting how thick it was. What mixture were you using for it? We could brainstorm a solution to get you off and running!
@@JMoPainting I used the same exact mix that you did. 50% clear glue & 50% AL pouring medium. I live in Missouri.
The transparent colors give this a cool effect. Did you add any water to the recipe or did all the colors come out with similar consistencies?
I didnt add any water to the recipe at all. The colors played very nicely together! Thank you
Hi, I haven't been on for a bit, so I caught up on some of your videos.
Have you looked in a bottle of 24k gold before shaking it up, well that oil that's in there is what's causing the cells all of the deco art metallic are like that just thought I'd let you know 😂....,love the painting by the way
Welcome back Sharon! I havent looked into the bottle before shaking it. I will have to do that. That has to be why 24k gold is so good at making cells! Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it!
That was awesome! Did you use American Floetrol?
Yes it was American floetrol in this one! Thank you so much!
@@JMoPainting Thank you for answering!
I'm from Detroit Michigan the been living near forty some years and I live in Georgia for the last thirteen or so
Totally see the skull
I couldn’t believe how much it resembled a skull
