And never served any foreigner clients. I was happy then but when they snatched away all my money 40000 RS, leaving me without even a penny in my bank account. Now struggling mentally. I am a student just seeing no hope in front of me. Hope Krishna ji will listen to me

Anik Jain's journey as a graphic designer in India is a testament to hard work, resilience, and creativity. His insights on navigating the industry, building a robust portfolio, and the importance of networking are invaluable. It's motivating to see how he overcame obstacles to achieve his goals.
It's high time people began appreciating designers and thoughtful design in general and pay fairly. Being a graphic designer, I am also looking forward to the day when our salary would match that of domains like IT. Really enjoyed listening throughout. You gave lots of insightful and well-informed opinions & suggestions very transparently. Thanks for the video! :)
@@astashaa don’t stop your college, almost all corporate jobs require a college degree (doesn’t matter what field you chose), then they ask for your skills. So that’s what I have to say. I’ve struggled/struggling a lot without college degree, I do have the experience, but in India, it’s really hard to go through when you don’t have a degree. Please consider it.
@@haniyaranasariya215 I wanted to go for EMP, but since we don’t have any college in India. I did certificate in EDM and DJing after 12th. I didn’t pursue any other degree cause I was planning to move to some other country for EMP cause choosing something else in degree is waste of money for me. As I was also interested in design from a long time, and I had the experience and skills, I thought it would mean nothing just to get that degree for design as I was freelancing and doing local design work another reason was I wanted to make career in Music, design was my hobby.
Learnings from this video - 1. Working with a client is more of Building Relationships with them. 2. Try to learn and understand things deeply and smartly which Ishan shows us by asking the right kind of questions even small small ones to Anik. 3. Never get stop due to failures. Whatever happens, happens for good. Try to back yourself up again and try to see and understand the different ways ahead like how Anik analysed his marks in Arts and Design and started to make something good out of it. 4. Your mindset should be that I have to become the best in whatever I do. Always keep learning, keep evolving your skills , keep growing constantly. 5. There is no barrier to your success. You can do it anyway if you want to like how Anik utilized the free resources in UA-cam to teach himself about marketing, graphics skills ,etc, which brings me to my next point. 6. Do anything with it's good understanding. Don't start anything from no where and do any random shit. Learn how things work, marketing works, building clients work, the work you do requires which skills , etc. 7. Focus on your clients' needs, understand their perspective and try to fit yourself in their shoes. This is what gonna build a close relationship with your client which eventually is going to build clients in long term.
Ishan asks a lot of detailed questions because he knows people might be interested in them. It also helps make his videos longer, which is something Jo Rogan does on his podcast too.

Graphic designers at the very base level who are earning 5 to 10k a month have no option but to keep working until the job stays. They need the money for family reasons and what not. When you need to work 10 hours a day and bring back some money for your family at the end of the month, there is not much upscaling you can afford to do. That being said, I do think graphic designing is a really good field and if you are priviledged enough to give time to your craft without responsibilities on your shoulders, you can go for it.
