- Here's a recipe for Chinese style Salt and Pepper Shrimp that is super simple and quick to make at home. With just a few simple ingredients I'll show you how to make the best fried shrimp with salt and pepper. With a lot of garlic, a hit of chilis and touch of lime to punch up the flavor for this Chinatown seafood favorite.

► Ingredients:
300g (11oz) Shrimp (I had about 18 shrimps)
1 Tablespoon Light Soy Sauce
1 Teaspoon Fish Sauce
1/2 Teaspoon Pure Sesame Oil
2 Teaspoons Oil
1 Tablespoon + 1/4 Cup Cornflour
2 Thai Spur Chilis (or jalapeno peppers)
2 Thai Chilis
3 Large Garlic Cloves
1 Stalk Spring Onion
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Ground White Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

What kind of oil do you use?
Hi Lynda, I used vegetable oil but you can use any oil with high smoke point like coconut oil, canola oil, peanut oil etc.
