Great filming Larry, felt as if I was on the stage with them. Saw Paul and the band in Brighton, England, October 24 so this will be a treasured memory of a great evening.
Weller has been bucket list for me for decades, and he cancelled the one tour I had a ticket for back in 2000/01. Never a chance of a date in Eastern Canada, so this is a welcome video! Thanks for this!
Thank you for posting. I saw the DC show, but my husband had to miss it This will give him a chance to see how amazing Weller and the band were this time stateside.
OMG!!! Thanx for posting! My wife and I flew to NYC from South Carolina just to see this! The show was amazing! We're thinking about flying to Cali to see him now! 😁
Thanks for posting the entire show. This show was between the two shows I saw: NJ and Boston. Check out some of my clips from those two shows! Paul and the band are at the top of their game. Waiting 7 years for his return to America was worth the wait!
I was in the front row and the crowd was great in Boston, very enthusiastic, engaged and not taking above the music. In contrast, I had balcony seats in NJ, I wanted to deck the guys sitting in back of me for talking! @@SeanBuckley-b2y
As a weller fan for nearly 40 years, Wow how amazing was this gig for so many reasons. First, weller’s voice is amazing still, I don’t know how he does it. Secondly, I loved his energy and the selection of songs with him talking more than I’ve heard at a gig. It seems like in America he’s more into playing older stuff and it’s more upbeat. Thirdly, I totally admire him for calling out the appalling lose of human life going on in Gaza. Also, glad to see him put the flag on stage and not care if people booed or left. Besides having huge balls to do that in America, he showed that standing against genocide was important than anything. And he’s right. Ceasefire now!
saw the Jam in what I believe was their first appearance in America somewhere near NYU and Washington Sq Park--no seats, maybe like an access room, very packed and very exciting, less than a hundred there
What no pretty green or Going under ground !! Man looks old before his years... I go see a tribute band called A band called malice locally when they are on... Also saw Bruce Foxton's From the Jam a couple of years ago, who are brilliant, I understand that Bruce has had to give up touring though due to ill health..
Thatcher and Ronnie also called the ANC “terrorists” when they were fighting for their freedom during the 1980s. “Terrorist” has always been the language of the oppressor.
I wish he hadn't mentioned the the Hamas Israel conflict and sided with Hamas. That was at the Chicago show. I guess he is entitled but I find myself in disagreement.
@@bradhill1099 He hasn't ''sided with Hamas'' - Paul stands with the impovrished Palestinian people who are being wiped off the face of the earth by Israel's fascist government. The media had done a brilliant job of making people like yourself think that if you dare object to all that sickening slaughter and destruction in Gaza then you're obviously a supporter of Hamas.
I love paul weller and I'm very lucky as my nephew has just joined his band, he plays bass guitar ❤
He’s a great addition!
@@GordonBean-j5l aw thanks I'll tell him
he does some nice backing vocals on the live stuff.
@@versioncity1 thanks 👍👍
no way !!!?
Fantastic recording. Thank you for sharing, feel like i'm there. Another quality performance from Paul and the band.

Brilliant!! watched this tonight because I should have been at tonights Chicago gig. but had to miss it because of other circumstances
Great. I've followed Paul since The Jam. Love his solo work and everything else. His voice just keeps getting better.
Weller apparently teetotal now. His exercise regime also helps. Incredible backlog of tunes:)
@@McGrogansSchoolI think he still smokes so even more amazing
Thanks for posting this. he skipped Detroit this tour so this video is awesome
Thank you for this!! I'm seeing Paul this monday & tuesday at the Barrowlands in Glasgow :)
Fantastic recording amazing sound. Thank you very much.

Amazing sound quality. WoW!
He's still got that fire and fury. Love it!
Brilliant Larry It Was Class Gig 😛
Saw him on sept 13 in Chicago. Great show. Hope he comes back at least once more in the next few years. Great band with him.

Loving the saxophonist in the band. Think it's Jacko Peake (?)
He is, yes.
Je t'aime Paul...
Still has that left leg shaking❤
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😘
So good to see the Palestinian flag. They are on the right side of history.
Set is missing flying fish. 😮
My spirit was lifted to see the Palestinian flag on stage. Paul Weller has always showed us his big heart and he has remained uncorrupted by success.
Absolutely. Never forgot his roots and never betrayed his principles and values. Proud to be working class and always on the side of the poor.
Well done Paul
Yeah...but there's something happening right now in Gaza...it's not a trend.

I promise you, he saw the collapse of the Berlin Wall as a defeat, not a victory.

Turned it off as soon as I saw the Palestinian flag.
Why were you here in the first place? Weller has been left-wing for DECADES.
@@SoulStylistJukeBox Left wing never meant supporting terrorists.

Just alienated half of Brooklyn.
Who cares.
Did he? How?
I dumped my tickets when I found out he puts a Palestinian flag on the stage. I don't want an artist's politics shoved in my face.
Good. Paul wouldn’t want someone like yourself attending his gigs.

Keep you're personal politics to yourself and the ballot box.
