When wildwood grove started up, there were 3 main charactors, a dragon fly, a brown bear and........... A butterfly, i think the third will be a vekoma fly coaster themed off of the butterfly.
I’m personally pretty sure that this new attraction will be a dark ride. At ACE Smoky Mountain Christmas this year, Pete Owens gave us a little bit of information about their 2026 attraction. Specifically noted was that it would have a heavy focus on story, a capacity around 2,000 riders per hour, and would indeed be on that plot behind Big Bear. That all sounds like a dark ride to me, but only time will tell! Anyways just found your channel for the first time, and I really like your style! Hope to see more theories in the future!
How cool would it be to get a Vekoma fly coaster at Dollywood. Without Lightning Rod’s launch they won’t have a big launched thrill coaster. They’re also missing an inverted coaster that isn’t family focused. It doesn’t have to be in Wild Wood Grove, but I think Dolly Wood could nail down the theming for a Vekoma Fly.
Dollywood is a great park I believe but they really do need to expand other areas because it draws to much attention to wild wood grove and I do think it’s gonna be either a hyper or a dark ride which they need but I’ll be happy whatever they do
You can always put a spinner in a box (see Laff Trakk). Also if the Blazing Fury building is okay (unlike with Fire in the Hole), they could do an RMC retrack and do a general overhaul, then use the extra money to create a new Fire District or whatever around that area)
Agreed. Figured between Universal Studios, SeaWorld, I.OA., and tampa B.G. Florida would have one by now. Crazy with all the parks we have across our beautiful country we only have one basically in the middle of nowhere.
They really need to fill in the space where Mountain Slidewinder was with a coaster. I think a Hyper or a spinner like Time Traveler could fit very well there and use the terrair to it's advantage
Why not combine the family spinning coaster with the dark ride elements? The only issue is that Mystery Mine kind of already does the dark ride coaster thing.
Dollywood has done a lot of focus on family friendly attractions over their last couple of expansions. Wildwood grove thusfar is very family focussed and I think an more thrilling ride would make it more inclusive. I was missing the possibility of an RMC Wild Moose coaster, which could theoratically be indoors, on your list. I could imagine that Dollywood has a bit of a sour taste with RMC due to Lightning Rod but that was partially due to their own requests as well. A wild moose would be right in between that thrill and family idea.
I'm curious if they will use Wildwood Grove's expansion to gut and rebuild County Fair. County Fair was Dollywood's kid zone, but has aged poorly. Perhaps turn it into a more themed location with either a fire fighter theme or train theme. A lot of the existing ride being moved to an expansion of Wildwood.
Hello, just found your channel. So Dollywood has used the temporary fences several times in the past with that said I too have said they are would be getting another phase of Wildwood Grove however in my findings over the years dont be surprised if there are more phases in the future. (But thats for another time right) The powered suspended coaster is one of my predictions aswell mainly for the controlled trains and could possibly bring a new side of thrills too! I think we all can agree the Dollywood is getting a dark ride.
I’ve been saying for years they need a new immersive dark ride that’s really good. I like the idea of the Half coaster half dark ride. Universal nailed it with Hagrid’s and Escape From Gringotts.
I do have a point that I would like to bring up, that expansion plot is where they store the drones for their drone show. Also, it might be too close to the train and loose articles might become a problem.
I think Dollywood needs to get a B&M dive and then cater the layout to the terrain... think think a Dive off the Mountain and then elements through and around the hills. You don't see a Terrain favored Dive Coaster and it would be a HUGE hit for the General Population.
I agree dollywood is the best planners , I agree there will be more expansion, we do know that since the shutdown they are on schedule for the future plans , so I believe 2025 will bring another addition to the park . I see one of two things , another epic family coaster or the last coaster with Disney darkride features . I saw this coaster overseas on UA-cam and agree it would satisfy everyone. That coaster set up looks like it be epic fun . I do believe to keep the disney vibe they should add some dark rides as a mixture to thrill rides. By 2027, they will need to add another extreme thrill ride . Do you think that's what will happen ?
Of these options I’d hope for the suspended power coaster as it can be primarily a dark ride with a small outdoor coaster section. I really hope the next attraction in this area is a dark ride of some type, though personally I hope for more of a standard dark ride. Dollywood could really use one.
Years ago I remember talking a employee and they mentioned a giga or a hyper would be coming eventually but that was obviously a few years ago and we still haven’t seen anything but I wouldn’t say it’s completely out of the question
I was talking to a coaster tech down there end of last year he said that they where working on a high thrill coaster and they hadn't really even announced anything but it would be in 2026.
Maybe Big Bear IS the final Wildwood Grove expansion. What if it is an all new land in its own? If you do not wanna have to go through wildwood grove, they can build a new path routed behind Thunderhead to get there. I do not think that we would be seeing the third family coaster in a row. Plus, Dolly Parton herself said to keep our eyes out for 2026. That means that something big is coming. Plus, it may not even be where the fence is. I do agree that SOMETHING is coming to that area, but I think that, after two family coasters in a row, we will see something big and massive.
Hell, even Six Flags St. Louis has 3 woodies! I don't think "wooden coaster" is as small a category as is, for instance, "suspended thrill coaster". Would it be weird to have a B&M invert along with a Vekoma STC? Probably. But having 2, 3, 4 even wooden coasters? No big deal! Dollywood could really use a family wooden coaster, I think.
Their next coaster might be a looping one, considering that their last thrill coaster was me, and I opened 8 years ago back in 2016… Also at 1:40 if you look right next to the big bear sign, there is a fence and a unfinished path, it looks like that path is gonna be the next place Dollywood is gonna expand.
that road has always sort of been there even before wildwood grove as an access to the back of the park....That area nack there was utlilized very well during coaster con. and was definitely leveled/landscaped for some reason. Im not sure a Rollercoaster is the reason
If they got a GCI I see then going down the Wicker Man route. Family thrill. Good first "big" coaster but also one any coaster enthusiast of any age can enjoy
Hyper would be amazing but honestly if they wanted to go Mack Extreme Spinner please make it like Ride to Happiness we need more of those around the world
Dollywood needs these coasters. (B&M) Hyper, Sit Down and Dive (GCI) Infinity Flyer (Gravity Group) Wooden Shuttle (RMC) T-Rex and Raptor (S&S) EL Loco, Axis, 4D Free Fly (Vekoma) MK1001, Splash Party, Tilt and Flying Launch Coaster (Mack) Extreme Spin, Inverted Power Coaster, BigDipper, Water Coaster, Super Splash and Power Splash (Triotech) Dark Coaster (Intamin) Blitz, Return of the Swiss Bob and Swing Launch
I am going to go out on a limb here and say they are not building a new coaster. I think it will be a family themed area with a bunch of family flat rides maybe adding a star flyer as well.
@@jcspotter7322 if its a family park then why is lightning rod there most popular ride, also its not like young kids don't ride the extreme rides and half of their coasters are family and the other is extreme
I think they really need a family dark ride. The Flooded Mine has been gone for such a long time. They have pitched so many different concepts over the years. They even pitched an enclosed bear cave themed disk'o long ago.
Ok, nice video. I cannot get used to how younger people say words like “mountain” where the t is not pronounced. It all sounds like a 12 year old valley girl. It sounds junior high,
I love how fast Wildwood Grove is expanding, but part of me wants to see something new elsewhere in the park before the land is expanded yet again.
The Wildwood Grove expansion is complete with the addition of BBM.
I want to see what's going inside the other railroad loop. The park has a ton of unused land.
When wildwood grove started up, there were 3 main charactors, a dragon fly, a brown bear and........... A butterfly, i think the third will be a vekoma fly coaster themed off of the butterfly.

No boomerang please. A Mack spinning coaster would be great.
Time Traveler is a real crowd pleaser, I’m surprised there aren’t more of that model in the USA
Agreed. Figured between Universal Studios, SeaWorld, I.OA., and tampa B.G. Florida would have one by now. Crazy with all the parks we have across our beautiful country we only have one basically in the middle of nowhere.
A new flat ride is going between mystery mine and fire chaser where the picnic area and/or the old river battle rise was.
They really need to fill in the space where Mountain Slidewinder was with a coaster. I think a Hyper or a spinner like Time Traveler could fit very well there and use the terrair to it's advantage

To be fair SDC is doing their $30mil project with RMC. I don't think they're scared

I think capacity is going to be important in any case. Dollywood is becoming one of the most crowded parks in the country.
I’ve been saying for years they need a new immersive dark ride that’s really good.
I like the idea of the Half coaster half dark ride. Universal nailed it with Hagrid’s and Escape From Gringotts.
With a terrain family woodie, I'd say a GCI Titan Track similar to Zambezi Zinger would be a great idea
Dollywood said at IAPPA that their 2026 coaster is also a Vekoma. So yeah, I guess it is confirmed a Vekoma.
I do have a point that I would like to bring up, that expansion plot is where they store the drones for their drone show. Also, it might be too close to the train and loose articles might become a problem.

I was talking to a coaster tech down there end of last year he said that they where working on a high thrill coaster and they hadn't really even announced anything but it would be in 2026.
Dollywood is a home park and as someone who absolutely loved Time Traveler Im praying for that
I thought when they built big bear and the invert they had a contract with vekoma for 3 coasters so its gonna be a vekoma but a thrill coaster

There is enough room to do any of those things, and still have room for an RMC Wild Moose.

I would like Dollywood to build there own version of black diamond a nice dark ride family coaster

Blitz, Return of the Swiss Bob and Swing Launch
the intamin swing launch and mack big dipper would be cool
I don't think it would fit in Wildwood Grove, but I feel like Dollywood will eventually build a dive coaster
I believe it going to be a sally dark ride with the Mack dark boat ride.
They'll might get a Hyper Coaster by Chance Morgan.
I am going to go out on a limb here and say they are not building a new coaster. I think it will be a family themed area with a bunch of family flat rides maybe adding a star flyer as well.

indoor giga
Your wrong about lightning rod being wooden
1. It got retracked to steel in 2021
And 2. Lightning rod is losing its launch
His argument is based off the 6 years lighting rod operated as a wooden coaster. I’m pretty sure he knows it retracke…..
I think a mack family spinning coaster would be absolutely perfect for them
They need a giga or a hyper coaster back there. Period. Enough with this family coaster nonsense!
