I lived there for twenty five years starting in '89. I rode Mailboxes in its original state. We just called Dusty's "That side hill trail that connects everything." At least on that half. Pipelines connects the upper half. And I used to work with Jacob at Some Other Bike Shop. He was acting all dodgy and quiet for a few weeks and not going on shop rides. Then he showed us Cobbs trail. He was one hard working kid that one. Well Done Sir! I watch videos of the old trails from time to time and I'm usually disturbed by how our old single tracks have gotten eight feet wide. But there was no discernible widening this time around. The future is bright. If everyone finds the right line, then all trails will return to single track. Happy travels.
The trails looked and rode like they were in incredible shape. That dirt you got is 👌! We did our best to ride, not slide, but dang those trails point downhill!
Another good trail right by Mailboxes is Fence line. Definitely will pedal but some good flow with a few jumps. If you like tech, try barking dogs or DD's. Sweetness is totally blown out.

Such fun trails ! Love that place.
Thanks for recommending this place! Now get on the road and head northwest!
Nice riding! Mailboxes is pedally but it’s my favorite!
I can imagine how good it feels to send all of those jumps if you have the speed! This trail would be incredible with an ebike too
When I grow up, I want to ride Cobb like that. Awesome!
Never grow up!
Going there this weekend! Finally sunny days, hey!!
Hell yeah dude! Get it!

These are great trails. I love that area, but always wonder, what's the best (read: easiest) climbing trail back to the top? Did John know?
If I recall correctly, we would often take Magic Carpet returns to Sidewinder.
rincon uphill is the typical uphill lap spot
Welcome to Santa Cruz!!!
I need to come back! How's the dirt now?
How does the trek feel on the chunk of these trails ?
I wouldn't really consider these trails all that chunky. But this bike felt like it was built for these trails!
Love that place.
It was hard to leave! I could move here for these trails!
My favorite trails are up there
This is nowhere near central california lol
heard.
Central Coast
Local here: The Monterey Bay is like Central/Northern CA really. It’s like both.
Northern California is north of SF so….
Clearly, I don't know California very well. Lol 🤷♂️
