Shout out to Ellumacent Souls TCG for inspiring this vid, he has a slightly different method for his foil cards which also gives a different finish so check out his tutorial too! ua-cam.com/video/R_YZvFssk_o/v-deo.html
Excellent job.❤
And why can't game crafter do this again?
Hey mate, I've been creating custom cards for around 9 years now - you're almost there. It's much better to use a spray adhesive for this as the bond will be better and it dries clear. Also invest in a corner cutter (unless you want to keep the square edges). Keep up the good work buddy!
What do I need as far as printer and system to make my own playing cards? I'm just starting out. Thank you very much!
Hey how do i make it so only a certain part of the card is foil and not the enitrety. Say for an mtg card only the symbol at the inferior part and the image itself in the frame would be foil? how do i achieve that? Do i need to print on top of the foil directly?
@@GGGmod1 use white acrylic marker or any white ink to cover the area that you don't want to be foil
@@paper64ink God dammit mr paper u know how scary it is to get a " i know who you are" in notifications?
How much do you charge
as a fellow printer, i can tell you that you can print on clear decal paper and stick it on the foil, ez and no stick of glue involve :))) also if you can just print directly on the foil with oil printer then slab a clear decal on top is the best
This isn't exactly what I was looking for, but you gave me the information I needed to figure out my project. Thanks! And best of luck with your TCG!
See, I'm trying to make my own amiibo card, and this gives me an idea of how to do these two ways was 1. to print the part of the image I want holo then place the foil after then print the rest on another sticker them layer and lamanet 2. Do the same process, but this is more like Pokémon foil the print section, then print the rest on top, but to protect it, lamanet it or shrink wrap it😅
YOOOOOOOOOOOO I REMEMBER WATCHING YOUR FIRST HOW TO MAKE CARDS VID THIS IS POG
that was a loooong time ago, thanks for sticking with the channel!
Perfect timing, I started making my TCG about a week ago and now youre making more tutorials!
This turned out pretty great for me. Only complaints I have are 1: the drying time of the acetate takes at least a day. (At least for the acetate I used, however it wasn’t meant to be printed so maybe that’s why) and 2: the holographic backing will even shine through a full black card, so if you’d like only a certain section to be holographic, I’d recommend gluing your print on regular card stock and either cutting out a section for the holographic backing or just putting a holographic sticker overtop. Regardless tho, pretty happy with my cards. Ty bro
/
so what would you use for the film that you don’t want hologramed?
Man, this is gold. Very interesting stuff from a diy/creator like me. Thumbs up!
Unbelievable. This made my cards look incredible. Thanx for the tips bro
Found the most incredible 1:1 Poke/Yugioh producer out there that started out from a similar method. Happy to point anybody in that direction!
plz

Seriously considering this for my business cards! I’m a UAS major and I graduate next year, I might just need to do this!
Wow this real cool thanks so much
i did this some years ago with custom pokemon cards but the glue looked terrible, but after watcing this I really wanna try this again
I’m making a card game based on the artists I work with. It’s actually really playable ironically
Get some bling in your card games!
if there’s any spots left i wanna play in you my chaipion ship with the cards
@@qwebostudios6485 yes there are about 10 spots left right now! challonge.com/8w1hteks here's the link to the sign up page!
Me: opens bling pack
What's inside:
Silver bomb head
Silver floppy disks
Gold zombie jet head
Gold raincloud
Royal fume head
Pack cost: 30000 coins
AYYY LETS GO
Use if solid gold bricks is cooler but this is neat
Doesn’t the print rub off since you print on top of the film? Maybe flip the artwork before printing and then stick the printed side where the ink is onto the holo card?
Thanks, I'm making my own card game and this helps a lot.
These look better then the ones I got professionally printed, awesome job mate!
thats insanely good.
its like a rare card.
thank u! this will work for my trading card series xD
WHOA, I really need this! THANKS
This tutorial has been extremely helpful
man love your work! props!
These are super awesome! Ty for the tutorial I gave a follow
Really cool, definitely want to try this with some art, thanks!
finally u finally did I needed this so bad for my TCG
Nice work man, that's super cool.
Really useful :) thanks
this is amazing love your work man ...
this needs more views, good lordy! thanks for the tips!
thank you for an actually good tutorial (:
GORGEOUS Thank you
You have the exact same printer I do. Love the thing because I can refil the cartridges without it freaking out on me.
You know whats funny the fact that I actually was wondering if there was a way i could do this at home and then bam! This video appears on my home page
Not sure where they would sell it in the UK but, double sided contact paper works perfectly.
Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
No worries!
I was just thinking when you mentioned the glue issue with it needing to be on the inked area. I was thinking have you tried a spray adhesive. There’s many that dry clear so you could spray the shiny card, apply the acetate and then use a roller to smooth out and push air bubbles out.
Hey Zack, I've been really hard at work on my TCG and I think I'm nearing the end of Set 1. I'm gunna create a channel for it and upload some stuff there. My Chaos Galaxy booster packs have arrived and the first video on the channel will probably be a pack opening of the booster packs. Loved the video btw!
hey, thats great to hear, good luck with finalising the set! Thats great to hear too, let me know when the video is up would love to check it out!
@@ChaosGalaxyTCG Yeah will do! I'll be filming it this weekend hopefully! And thanks, I'd love to properly discuss my TCG with you at some point, since you are my inspiration for making it
@khemistree 😐 so uh wheres the vids 😑
To fit 10 cards on an A4 page turn the page landscape instead
I use Pages to make my cards too!
Nice!
Wowww these look niceeeee
Just a little tip, assuming you're allowed to spray adhesive makes sticking them down a tonne easier (if you do it properly you can spray the whole card for a better stick but it doesn't show through once dry) the stuffs just pricey and you 100% need to spray outside
Oh and it's in the same catagory as spray paint so y'know not everyone is allowed to buy and use it
I did actually try this previously! at the opening of the video the cards ‘Teklar’ and ‘Talakon’ were previously made using spray mount glue but I wouldnt really recommend it as it makes the foil come out patchy!!
It does not come out clear I tried and it’s super cloudy and spotty even spraying a super minimal amount
yo this is sick!
AWSOME
Really Cool!!!
Big thanks! Also, contour make vid on how to mass produce cards cause I’m trying to make my own card game but one thing I’m really struggling with is actually printing. Thanks again
Omg yes finally
these are very impressive! any advice for how to apply this for magic the gathering custom cards? just print as usual?
What foil did you use? Can you recommend something on Amazon? I tried this but the foil I bought was garbage so the backgrounds just look white. Thanks!!
Have you tried clear sticker paper for inkjet printers instead of the glue stick?
Do you have any videos for creating nice packaging?
How does one get holographic stars or circles on top of foil similar to holographic pokemon cards?
Hi
I like your work and I'm interested in knowing how to make holographic stickers.
What do I need to start making them.
And type of material
The cards look awesome
thanks!!
How many layers are needed to make a good steady card?
That is berry cool.
Which kind of adhesive are you using?
can you use a clear, heat-activated adhesive sheet for this?
Where did you find the sheet to print on your artwork to make your trading card and the foil sheet as well?
Just a curious question, with foil Poker cards available through game crafter, will you ever do foil cards in main/side sets for Chaos Galaxy??
Yeah great idea it would be like the pokemon cards so you will know its rare:)
U would love to figure a way to print the backs of the cards
Hello what printer did you use and what paper ty
thank you.
Would you mind giving some details on the holo foil paper? I don't think I've seen such stuff before. (I live in europe, maybe thats a reason?)
Anyways good video!
This is coooool
What type of paper do you use to print on
YAAS
Is there a way you could possibly put it onto card stock?
Lol and here I though u needed some industrial printer or something. Also didn't knew you could actually print stuff in plastic sheets like that.
Anywya thank you.
Zack making this video: and then the big bucks roll in
Where can I find this holo foil paper and how sturdy is it without putting a protective cover? What's the paper thickness?
U r a card genius
Is the ink side exposed? If you mirrored the image, you could have the ink layer inside the sandwich of layers. Then just use spray adhesive like dannybizal suggested on the holographic film and place together. Great video though I might try this.
How would you put your phone’s picture into your computer?
Cool
I would love to know what kind of printer you're using. What's the model number? I may have missed it. I might just need to watch this video from the start (without being distracted).
Thank you much! Is there a Video how you make your Boosters? Do you have a Printer Company do the Job? Planing myself a TCG.
He has the website Thegamecrafter make the cards. I suggest them highly
do you need a specific type of printer to print them out with
Wait what if the card doesn't have any transparenent places like a Pokemon energy card, does the foil still show up
I'm making a card game called destructive dimensions
Would you mind posting links? I'm having difficulty finding anything comparable to what you are using here. Any help would be appreciated
Can you provide the link of where you buy the holographic cards? Cant find any suitable ones in North America. THanks
whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What printer do you use
Can you laminate them after?
Nice.
Cannot find that holographic paper on Amazon, only holographic adhesive paper.
ANOTHER PERSON WHO USES PIXLR LETS GOOOOOO
Hey chaos, I was just wondering. Where can I buy the holographic foil card because I can not find it anywhere online? Could you please help me?
What is the paper name that you use for card making
mmm, could you flip them when printing them in order for the ink to be in the size that is glued, so that i has double protection againstt scratches?
thats actually a really good idea, i didnt think of that at the time but will defo do it next time!
@@ChaosGalaxyTCG yeah, I've made some test runs at home hehe tough here in Mexico is kind of hard to find the holo card board, but still one does what one can, pd. Good videos keep the good work
I’ve never made cards like this, but as a sticker maker, I’m wondering if it would help “seal” your card and strengthen the adhesive bond if you ran it through a low heat laminator. Don’t laminate it, but sandwich it between two pieces of paper.
Where can I get the foil?
Nice
can i get the link to the foil card thanks
What holographic sheet do you use?
there's a bunch on amazon for good prices
@@SynoAuRi any size thickness recommended? A link to what was used would be helpful
Finallyytt
what is the name of that printer?
Um, excuse me, but Scott from Ellumacent Souls did this first a long while ago 😧
At least you should’ve gave him a shoutout, since he was the first one to do this.
Should he give magic a shoutout too?
Lol should he give magic a shoutout??? No he shouldn't. The htcg community has its OGs. Chaos Galaxy, Ellumacent souls, Domhan Rhapsodie, and wrath of cores. There were a few others in there but they have since then quit. Now there are only a few left, but its the few that are left that make this community shine. All but one of these titled games work together and support eachother. Scott has done nothing but help the community and gets nothing for it. Scott does his stuff for the love of the community, not views. Scott deserves way more than he gets. In my opinion, he should be the one everyone goes to for help and advice. This video has been posted time and time again on scotts channel. Chris from wrath of cores did the same video too but had the decency to give him a shout out. Notice that he doesn't give shout outs to people that have decent and professional looking games? He's toying with his audience. Making them "feel good" while he gets paid for the views and subs. While the rest of us struggle to get past 2k subs with actual content.
What im trying to say is, Scott deserves a shout out atleast. A shout out can do alot.
I remember back when I first started. I messaged Zack in his livestream, and he gave me a shout out. I messaged him on Instagram and he said if I sent him some of my product, he would showcase it. I spent hundreds of dollars thinking "you gotta spend money to make money". The second I asked him where to mail all of my product to, he ghosted me. Money I didnt even have went down the drain. So before you go and defend him, realize, he doesn't care about his fans like we do. And he definitely doesn't care about his fans like Scott does, who puts his heart and soul into everything he does.
Why would he need a shout out for making a tutorial. That's like saying all tech channels should shout out all the other tech channels for making a how to build a pc video. You sound stupid
what type of Printer you use to print those cards?
Just a standard home printer! Mine is a canon IP8750 but any home printer that isn’t really old should be fine to use!
