So I dress up like a jester a lot on my free time (dress for the job you want) and at festivals. I wear bellydancer anklets around my harlequin leggings and let me just say the animal thing is so true. The noise my anklets make with each step will always attract animals to me. None wanted to attack me atleast but it does peak their curiosity to follow me. It wasn't till I stumbled onto this video with the constant representation of the animals in the scene that made me feel like the animals following me is due to the archetype I'm porttaying.
Some may think he is a fool but to me he is one of the wisest if not the most wise of them all or at least very close to sage level. The fool in my opinion pokes fun of traditional and established values and aims to push the boundaries that societies imposes on the people. Because at the end of the days all societal norms are just made up. So the fool seeks to push those boundaries and entertains the people who are usually so into themselves that they can for at least a moment laugh at themselves and how serious they take themselves.
