Oh my gosh. I wish you were my grandpa. I was looking to propagate my Spanish moss and I found you and I am in love! Thank you for teaching me how to do it in an easy to understand way and also being so fricken sweet while you do it!
Thank you so much for your comment spanish moss is very expensive here and it grows fast..
Great job, thanks for taking the time to show us!
Thank you, they are doing really well, they’ve all been outside for the summer but brought back into the conservatory now
That's some great growth....you really looked after it...£16 is pricey but you will get years of joy! Good to propagate too 🙂
Thanks, it came from the garden centre at Wisley RHS just as the Pandemic started here!! I will split it again soon it is so easy to grow...
Usinoidies is the name. I live in perth west Australia, and have hundreds of these lovely plants. Started out eith 5 plants, and when they are full and long, i just break them off half way, and tie them off with a thick elastic band, and hook them onto tree branches, hanging baskets, everywhere. Here they stay in the garden all year round. They have tiny little green, yes green flowers in spring and are tough plants. They go well with my collection of tillasandias. They come from the desert in sounth America and are absolutely pests there! They grow everywhere, and are used to stuff cushions, mattresses and as packaging material. I use liquid hydroponic solution every month to keep them growing well. I hope your plants multiply well for you. Cheers.
Thank you, sadly the climate is not good enough in the UK to keep them outside all year. But the conservatory is sufficient in the winter months. Thank you for the growing tips.
Im watching you from other side of the world... Its helpful...and thank you...
You’re welcome 😊
Very nice.. and detailed..
I really appreciate your comment, thank you
Here in the Deep South of the US birds love to snatch spanish moss to use as nesting material. It usually survives this and grows where the birds place it. Wind and birds spread it everywhere.
Thank you, I have seen it on films and looks amazing

@@OurEnglishTropicalGarden makes a medicinal tea. Supposed to me good for arthritis as it reduces inflammation in joints

You too awesome
Thanks!
Nice.

When its given orchid feed, do you just spray it over the whole plant?
Sometimes...
Years ago I drove down I-95 to Florida and that plant grows wild everywhere. You could have pulled off the road and picked a trunk full of the stuff for free. It is literally hanging from trees and power lines everywhere you look in the southern states. Meanwhile, none where I live. To far north and far too cold for it here unless I kept it in a greenhouse, which I don't have or inside my house but my cat pretty much kills any plant I bring in. So I stopped buying any. Until she passes away, I have to be plantless inside.
Thanks its growing well just needs a spray of water some times..
Yup ... here in orlando is everywhere...
Old man's beard and spanish moss r different plants. Is it the same process for both? I am little confused on that.
If you are talking about air plants we would suggest propagate them the same way.
Rain water? We don't get a lot of rain ,and freeze in the winter .what else do we use.
We would suggest distilled or bottled water.
I found you🤗🤗🤗🤗
Great thanks 👍
How do you when this plant has died?
I've got some but I didn't measure it, so I dont know if it's growing, alive or dead?
Thank you for the question. It is difficult to tell with these, apart from the fact it won't grow anymore if it has died. Many airplants don't change much in colour dead or alive. Sorry that's not very helpful
👏👏👏😊👍
Thanks,,
Please sappor me Sir...,.
So you like to garden mr too I have videos with me in the garden check them out
Thanks will do!
We also call it old man’s beard
Thank you for your comment. It goes by many names doesn’t it?
