Before Soul Calibur IV's release, I actually thought that there would be two secret boss characters. The first one would be Night Terror (defeating Nightmare and meet certain conditions in story mode like in SC3), and the other would be an "ultimate form" of Siegfried/Soul Calibur. Someone from Gamefaqs said "Redemption" would fit that boss.
All this to say I'm kind of sad they took out the idea of a secret boss. I miss Night Terror.

My best time beating NightTerror so far is 19 seconds on normal difficulty. The character I used is my custom Ms. Marvel. I made her a Sword Master and I use the Shutensou Kunai as her weapon, which gives her a ninja fighting style. I haven't beaten him on hard since replaying the game after corrupted data forced to delete and start over!
I've played with Night terror and collosus and it's pretty fun, I just wish u could go in the arcade with them, it's just practice and vs(maybe?). But overall great video and music

In another comment I mentioned beating him with my custom Ms. Marvel. In Chronicles of the Sword I noticed characters made as a Swordmaster start off with higher stats and tend to be stronger all around. I don't know if it's he same in the regular game modes, but the character I beat Night Terror with is a Swordmaster. I also beat him in 19 seconds with a barbarian using a Great Sword (Alondite). When fighting him use a weapon that will give you some health back and keep at it! Good luck!
Siegfried's Soul Calibur (10 seconds)
To get to him you must not lose one match. As mitsurugi, you just choose the second option in the storyline always and when you get to the labyrinth always go deeper. but you CANT play as him if you kill him. You can buy his biology type thing though.
How about a fight between Night Terror and Night Terror? That would be nice, altough it will surely end like this :
NT 1 starts flying. NT 2, fearing the laser, starts flying too. Both shoot lasers. The first one to stop loses. The fight goes on forever.

Night Terror looks like he was going to be in the game as an actual character but it looks like they scrapped him and left his code in the game.
It's cool that NightTerror can't Ring Out, Colossus was funny. XD

Um night terror isn't only available through cheats there are certain paths you must choose on the characters tales of souls (story mode) and if you get the right paths and DON'T LOSE ONE AT ALL then you wll get night terror, the certain paths are on google and this does work cause I have also unlocked abyss from this but not night terror, and colossus idk, maybe cheats only

they're starting to. but its a webcomic series now. just go to the website, and they have the first issue already. it takes place years after My Two Bobs.
Also, there's no pattern to his attacks but if you pay close enough attention you can anticipate some of his moves. When he flies up to shoot you with the beam, quickly run under him to get behind and hit him in the back with a long range attack. That'll knock off a good bit of his health. hope this helps!

even thought it is for the AR-Max, there Is a way to get the codes on game shark and C.B. It's called a "code converter." I can't tell where to get a good one, but you can try to find it on your own, i already got the night terror for gameshark.

Night Terror looks like the character from Reboot that defeated Enzo.
the problem is: Night Terror CANT be unlocked by normal means. Naturally, since he is way too overpowered -.- But hacking him free and having some fun with him is just totally worth an ARMax xD

You can unlock these characters through the use of a cheat disk, the one I used being called Action Replay.

You have to go through the game without getting any continues and I think choosing the first option always (no dying) no ring outs and you cant fail any cinematic movies such as the one where you move right to avoid the gear before you fight zasalamel

night terror's move set is the same of nightmare, but more powerful and can do more combos

you cant play as night terror, you can only fight him when u,take a hidden path in tale of souls with siegfried,trust me you dont wana fight him, trying to get him will make u go crazy

i have a gameshark. what code sequence did you put in for night terror? what about colossus?
Not really. Most bosses that you can't normally play as can still be controlled to an extent.
One example is the Master Hand from Super Smash Brothers. Plus sense he's based on Nightmare's moveset, I'm sure this was just an uninteded side effect. :D
Or another possible theory is that they HAVE to map every move to a button/combo, or even the computer can't do it.
Something I noticed: Night Terror can't be ringed out, but he performs his death sream nonetheless O_o Oh, and yeah, hes cheap.
