I love how the protective instinct she has sees a potentially fatal consequence of going down a slide with her child, when a bump or scrape is probably the worst that can happen haha. It is actually really adorable. 💜💜
That's most good mothers. lol I am so over-protective of my kids that with almost any situation I picture about 10 things that could go horribly wrong or be potentially fatal and say NOPE. I let my kids have fun, but I make sure they are safe and not doing stupid shit. Especially my son because he is all boy and does things that could get him seriously hurt. I am trying to get him to think ahead so he won't do stupid shit that could get him hurt or killed. Most parents just let their kids do whatever, and for the most part I do too, but I don't take my eyes off of him and am right there. If I see an "I'm about to do some stupid shit" thought cross his face, I will be there lightning fast to stop it. He is 10 now so he sort of thinks about things now, but not really. I just know its my job to keep them alive and healthy until they reach adulthood. Then I can only hope they always do the smart thing.

I felt every moment of her panic. Everytime I took my twins to the park i'd think " how am i gonna almost kill or injure myself today!" lol.
Actually that's not the worst thing that can happen in a fast slide, at least with such a little baby. She was absolutely right in focusing like that on landing safely, because if she didn't and fell awkardly, her child could have suffer very nasty wounds

Ugh it's funny that this is how she describes it cause I was with my daughter at that little park in central park that day. I remember seeing Anne and just feeling so nostalgic about princess diaries and thinking she was the most elegant person even just pushing her son on the swing, and here she is thinking we were gonna judge her. I mustve missed that slide manouver it mustve been before I got there, but Im sure it was not as bad as it sounds.
