- After filming part of a glaze kiln unloading and having my camera die half way through it in the 100 degree heat, I decided to do a glaze re-fire before filming again rather than post a video of just basically boring pottery. So, this video is a compilation of the before and after of that including-at the end-some fails and more pottery from the first kiln unloading that I didn't refire.

Whoa! Peacock bowl is amazing!!! Your glazing skills are incredible. Thank you for your efforts in making these videos for us.
Thanks for the amazing comments! It sure does make the time and effort worth it to know people are getting some value from it💕
LOVE your peacock bowl.
Aww, thanks 😊
Soooooo beautiful Gurl!! Love your glaze
combos!!!
Thank you Sarah…you had an amazing kiln opening today too! I watched it on my other account…I want to rewatch it on my pottery account and comment lol! But I subscribed on that account too so you’ve got 2 subs from me…haha
Love the butterfly glaze combo!! I really need to buy Sangria!
You do girl!! I think you would love it!
Hi Star! (one R or 2 in your name?) I love the peacock bowl with the hearts! What a great idea. Great load, and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite! Well done!
On your firing, remember that when you do a hold, it will add to the heat work, especially if you hold at peak temp. For pinholes, I will typically let the temp drop about 100 degrees and then hold there for 30 - 45 minutes. This prevents further off-gassing, and allows the bubbles to heal over. At least that's the concept.
Just a thought for future, I've seen Tiffinie Helmer @Hobble Creek Pottery do some refires upside down. The runs run back on the pot. She uses stilts on kiln posts to do this. There's a little Dremel work to be done on the stilt marks, but much less grinding. I thought some of your fails were fab, especially that mug!
Thanks for the lovely compliments and the tips Pat! Yes, I think I remember the upside down firing! I think I’ll try the lower temp then hold before I’d be brave enough to go upside down 😂.
And one R…short for Starlynn 😊
Very beautiful glazing!
Thank you!
Hi there , I love your wall flower pot! Lots of nice stuff you made 🙂 About the bisk-fix, I saw somewhere that you should run it through another bisk firing after applying it and then glaze it. I recommend you reglaze the bowls, they are so well made, and see if you can make the bisk fix (almost) dissappear.
Thank you so much! Yes, I made the mistake of not bisque firing it again, live and learn. I’ve fired it twice but might try again👍🏻
It would be cute to put little frog figurines in the bathtub planter with some plants🐸🐸
Too cute!!
One could have a little shower cap on😁
Gorgeous unload as always star. Love yr colours similar to my unloads! With yr bisque fix did u rebisque or just glaze over it please? I’m new to bisque fix n heard u need to rebisque? Nat xx
Thank you so much Nat!! That was probably where it went wrong…I did not re-bisque but I’ve done that in the past and it all worked out. But that was porcelain as well so maybe bisque fix isn’t a good fit w that?
@@SoulHavenPottery-gt2gfno clue we will have to experiment!
Peacock hearts are gorgeous!!
Thank you Sarah!@@SarahWaltonPottery
