    First impression at 2023 NAB Show video ua-cam.com/video/nEUVnlZXxws/v-deo.html
    Unfortunate the one I review is the older version. But YC onion send me a newer version to test and it's so much better.

    I think this is a new tripod but this lock issue is really concerning. When we use it for a long time, the more complex the mechanism becomes, the easier it is to create more problems. That's why the trash twist lock still exists today on high-end machines, it's so easy to maintain or repair.

    Great review thank you, I was interested in this, and all your comments sure helped. I think the wobbly legs and jamming at times is enough for me to pass on.

    Great tripod... But I'll wait on Version 4 before getting one. A video tripod that wobble is a big no no, especially when shooting telephoto

    Very helpful! I just saw that you can order this tripod finally and your videos on this have been the only ones out there so I appreciate the insight. I think it is worth buying if the quality control is better. Are you happy with it?

    • @CaiImageStudioTaiwan

      So far I enjoyed using it. The only reason to pick another one is the weight. If the weight is not a problem. Then this is worth a try.😁

    good review! for the price im probably going to go with the smallrigj freeblazer. its more plastic but cost only $400. Sirui also is making one just like this but it doesn't get very tall either while the smallrig gets to 197CM which is very nice to have in certain situations

    • @CaiImageStudioTaiwan
      @CaiImageStudioTaiwan  Рік тому +1

      Sounds great!! Enjoy your smallrig tripod😃

      smallrig doesn't go very low at all with spreaders that can't be removed. Low is more important than high.

      @PeacefulMoments1844 Рік тому +1

      Does the small rig go as low as this one? Thanks

    • @LongLiveTheFilmmaker
      @LongLiveTheFilmmaker Рік тому +2

      @@PeacefulMoments1844 the small rig has spreaders on them so they can’t go lower than the actual height of the tripod. The yc onion can go all the way to the floor

    • @PeacefulMoments1844
      @PeacefulMoments1844 Рік тому +1

      True, it does however go pretty low from what I've watched on other reviews.@@LongLiveTheFilmmaker

    I had ordered one that wasn't even delivered yet and while at the show in Vegas they were going to sell me a used one on the spot for 50 percent off. I was truthful and told me I had one on order that I would just return (unopened), then they were like, oh we cant sell you this one for a discount because you ordered one and will return it. WTH. So yea, customer service is TERRIBLE. Who does business like that??? I ended up returning the new one I ordered as well! No thanks!!!

    The quick adjustment levers seem great! The wobble at full extension is ridiculous. Does this go away when it is at less than full extension?
    Also, any idea if you can buy the center section separately?

    • @CaiImageStudioTaiwan
      @CaiImageStudioTaiwan  Рік тому +1

      unfortunately no!! The wobble is always there. Do you mean the middle column? Yes you can buy it separately🙂🙂

      @Editor905 Рік тому +1

      I have a wobble even at 2/3 extension on my Manfrotto 536 and Gitzo Systematic 5. Sad but true. If you want to minimize wobble, you shouldn't t take monotube construction tripod. But if you need maximum height one piece, then you have no choice.

    PHew... I was gonna buy this but I think the problems is more than I'm willing to deal with. I guess I'll still slave up for a flowtech.

    • @CaiImageStudioTaiwan
      @CaiImageStudioTaiwan  Рік тому +1

      Yeah I think flowtech will be so much faster with the leg spreader. 😀

    Thanks for the review, I have the monopod and thats has wobble too so I just dont think this wobbly tripod is worth £700
