6:11 spot on, that’s exactly what they are. Unfortunately that’s the same reason why they’re not that popular in Korea, although it has been getting better lately. They have a bigger international fanbase. Their B sides also explore other genres like R&B and even Reggae.
Their older and Japanese songs are more on the rock side. Their Japanese ones are the hardest as it sticks to the Metal sound. For that, check out Endless Night, No More and Don’t Light My Fire.

dreamcatcher is a genre mashing group that uses rock/metal instrumentation in many of their songs. they are constantly changing the genres they mix into their music so all their songs are different. they have songs from soft ballads to metal. 'boca' is part 2 of their dystopia trilogy which is a criticism of social media. the dystopia series is a lot more electronic/pop than rock. try 'endless night' or 'chase me' since they are more on the rock side.

Dreamcatcher is a group formed in 2017 under a small label. That's why they didn't get too much attention and easily being ignored. However once you started to listen to them, you will fall for them. All of their songs are hidden gems waiting for you to explore. I'm still getting surprises when listening to their B-sides until now. Happy exploring :)
Dreamcatcher is a K-Pop girl group but with Pop Rock as their main music style. If you're looking for Korean girl band. You should check out Rolling Quartz. They recently release an MV cover of Dreamcatcher's 'Good Night'.
They have pure rock songs, like their early MVs Chase Me or Good Night, their japanese stuff, Endless Night, Don't light my fire, Eclipse, or cooperations like Deja Vu. But after all they are a kpop girl group. :-) They have really unique songs like Scream, July 7th.

This song is actually the 2nd part of a trilogy that deals with anonymous hate comments and coping with the digital age. 'Boca' means mouth in Spanish and in this song they're basically saying if you don't have anything nice to say - keep it shut. The trilogy goes 'Scream', 'Boca', 'Odd Eye'. This series mixed more club/edm vibes into the title tracks. If you want more rock, then get into their nightmare series: Chase Me, Good night, Fly High, You and I, What, Piri. Check out their B sides as well. They do so many genres really well.

Their b-sides are just wonderfully diversed. If rap rock edm is your thing, I think Wind Blows may raise an eyebrow or two. If rap funk strikes your fancy Black or White would be a worthy listen. Also for sensual rnb vibe there's Wonderland.

Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip your spine out when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉
Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy, which deals with bullying and hate comments, in particular the online variant ("A trick behind a mask, a ridiculous freak" from Scream). Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song?
If you want to hear their rocker side check out chase me and good night their debut and sequel song. Their japanese song like endless night, no more and breaking out even their bsidr japanese such as don't lighy my fire and my way are more rockier. They even have an anime opening song called eclipse.
They do hv Korean song in rock such as break the wall, black or white (mix of pop and michael jackson ), sahara, scar, diamond and many more.
The japanese is more rock since rock is more popular in Japan more than Korea.
Thank you for the Dreamcatcher reaction. As mentioned in other comments, the Nightmare series is J-Rock style. If you want a unique sound, I recommend Scream from the dystopia series, although it's pop-rock style. Among Dreamcatcher's Japanese tracks, Endless Night is pure J-rock.

Dreamcatcher is the kpop girl group, it different with the krock band. Their sound more on fusion between rock/metal and others genre. This create new genre in kpop. To compare maybe you can react to "Good Night" by Dreamcatcher (kpop gg) and then "Good Night" by Rolling Quart (female krock band).

Urghh.. We're sorry for not recommending Dreamcatcher earlier to you. Maybe your subscribers don't know about them too. If so, I'm really happy that you're gonna start a journey cause you might as well bring your subs along into the black hole😂 Dreamcatcher is unique, the have rock base sound blend with a lot of genre and they can dance to the beats as well with a surprisingly good choreo. You just reacted to the most watched mv from them. It's mostly about cyber bullying and it was the 2nd part of the Dystopia trilogy. Next time you can react to Scream(part1) and Odd Eye(part3)
After that you can work you way up from their debut until the new release. The old stuff got more heavier rock sound btw. If you want more they have Japanese releases and one of them is Endless Night (time for headbang) I strongly suggest you check this one out after finishing the Dystopia trilogy.
Wake up, tension, mayday, trap (rock edm), pretty much all of their intros are their og sound they started with along with the first 2 titles tracks chase me and Goodnight. Break the wall, sahara, what (it has an entire string orchestra too), are more traditional rock. I miss you, new days, fly high have anime vibes. Their Japanese songs are proper jrock. Piri, you and I, scream, boca, odd eye, BEcause are rock fusion and deja vu is somewhere on the rock ballad spectrum. Shadow ost (og version) is full on rock.

even i am metalhead, when i get into dreamcatcher, i will drop all of my knowledge to enjoy every single details of their song, music composition, structures, genre, their vocals, im not call them unique bcz they make the best pure song in music history, i mean in history bcz no one make like their way in Kpop sector.

If your into Dreamcatcher vibes I strongly recommend to react Pixy debut song Wings and work your way up to their b-sides. I recommend exploring more from them but their a new “rookie” girl group. And I say “rookie” in parenthesis because their whole dark concept it’s just as unique as Dreamcatcher’s. Anyway I suggest to react to them after exploring Dreamcatcher Honestly 😉 This is actually my first video from you and if I would have known I would recommend more Kpop but with rock influenced into this channel but unfortunately there isn’t a lot from what I know. But even though Most kpop groups aren’t really leaning towards the Rock/metal their Live Stages/performance actually have some Massive rock in there in my opinion e.g. BP Pretty Savage, Kill this love. Of course Boy bands too. I personally don’t like hard rock/metal but if it’s “blended” to “Kpop” like some snippets of rock and then other genres my ear leans towards it tbh much like this song Boca. The more I hear it, the more it grows in me.
