my country uses no fire alarms on the large majority of buildings (both residential and and most comercial aren't regulated). We honestly get very very few fires... I'm not sure what's the deal with USA and the fire alarms...
one tip about cast iron (this includes things like enamel coated), when people say "get it super hot," they don't mean to put it on the highest heat. you need to use a medium-low (or even low) heat and wait a while until it gets super hot (could take like at least 5 minutes). they hold heat very well, but they need a low heat so it heats up evenly.
agreed, this makes sure your seasoning stays on! On one of my pans I’d heat up at max and the seasoning would flake off often. Started doing what you recommend and it’s never happened now in years

Most ketchups are full of sugar, so I'd suggest using a low or no sugar added version or a hot sauce that doesn't have much (if any) sugar, like Frank's Red Hot Sauce for example.

My maintenance calories hang around 2400-2500 per day. This burger would encompass one whole meal plus a snack. It’s 70% of my total fat calories and doesn’t match the protein from other sources. Looks tasty, but by no objective measure is it low calorie.

Either way an 800 calorie burger with 70g of protein when you’re craving a burger is way better than getting the same burger from a burger spot it would easily be 1200-1300 with 40g of protein. That same caloric meal 3 times a day plus light/healthy snacking between meals is still only about 2500 calories per day. That's not a lot at all if a person is even lightly active. The average person burns that in a day just resting. Shouldn't feel bad about these numbers at all, depending on your goals. Enjoy!

Hey OP - I could eat delicious food like your burger on virtually anything but for that extra point, what rolls/bread would you suggest? Eg - roll, maybe brioche, rich & light, or no! You can easily eat three of these depending on your exercise routine and what else you eat throughout the day. I love burgers, so I am always making them. I usually just make them with raw onion, no cheese and some bbq or ketchup. Seared on cast iron. So good.

Make sure it's the no sugar added ketchup that sweetens with fruit juice. Some brands started making keto friendly burger buns too that aren't too bad!

I lost a lot of weight some time ago while doing keto and my “secret meal” was basically very fatty hamburgers with lots of onions, cheese, bacon, eggs, etc BUT instead of a bun I’d wrap it in iceberg lettuce. Just as tasty!

Hey OP - I could eat delicious food like your burger on virtually anything but for that extra point, what rolls/bread would you suggest?
Eg - roll, maybe brioche, rich & light, or no! A basic morning nap, thin & light. etc. etc..
Bread - basic white, or, no bread!, etc. etc..
Sometimes the tasty burger holder can make the difference between a good burger & a great one.
For me anyways.

You can easily eat three of these depending on your exercise routine and what else you eat throughout the day. I love burgers, so I am always making them. I usually just make them with raw onion, no cheese and some bbq or ketchup. Seared on cast iron. So good.

Yeah the cheese is still as bad, even if the meat is fine but it's still gonna be oily. While the sauce is not healthy. Wouldn't call this weight loss but a burger that isn't as heavy on your stomach.

Make sure it's the no sugar added ketchup that sweetens with fruit juice. Some brands started making keto friendly burger buns too that aren't too bad!

I'd cut the ketchup and mustard, otherwise definitely a good idea to think about making tasty food that's still reasonably nutritious. Go easy on sugar and sauces and you've already helped your weight loss 💪🙏
