I'm just lucky I have a very good local looking after my house and dogs . I miss home soo much but I will be back when it's safe and we are allowed to travel again

I would like to keep my house here and travel back and forth. Maybe I need the Social Visa instead. I always hunt for good air-fares. Will return as soon as permitted. Be well....JM
Go for retirement visa,12 mths, don"t have to leave country to renew and has entry/exit visa included, I have been on both and this is the best way. Don't have to go to Immigration every month, it is so easy. Can put yo onto my agent if you want. Have used her for 11 years now.
Thank you for the video,it's very sobering but not as gloomy as the "German in Venice" video. I lived throughout the 50's to 70's in Java, I got used to air raid sirene in the 50's (the Dutch you know !) the economy hardship and chaos in the 60's.Indonesia survived because of it's people's resilience. No doubt Bali will rebound but as with all of us,will reborn into "New Normal"

Just wanted to tell you what a wonderful job you did on these videos you made of deserted Kuta and Sanur...... it breaks our heart to see it looking so deserted. We still have many friends - and some property over there - but we really feel for the Balinese People. Sad as your videos made us feel we are most grateful to you 👍
Brad thanks for watching. At the present moment the Govt. is flying around in circles and no one knows whose up who. They are talking about travel bubbles etc., but until they get the population vaccinated they are hesitant on opening up. (that's 270mil people) they are having problems of supply as is everybody. They are trying in Bali but I don't think it's enough. Like everyone I hope it clears up soon. Good health and fingers crossed.
Als Tyres Haddon, sorry to say I replaced NMax for Yammy Free Go. It was 5 years old and I couldn't carry my dog on it (SHITSU) because of the hump. He has real short legs LOL. FreeGo is 125cc, external fuel filler, same size under seat as NMax, and a flat floor, making it easier for an old fool like me to get on and off. I like it and it's fast enough for me. You will see it in the next video if I ever get round to making it LOL.

I hate to see when people show videos/pictures of Bali which doesn't not represent the current situation. Yes, it is hard for locals, yes, some restaurants had to shut down, yes, many locals lost their jobs, and yes, there aren't as many tourists as before 2020, which is very sad. BUT beaches are not empty, fast boat from Sanur operates several times a day to the Nusa islands or to the Gili Islands, so the station next the harbour is not empty in the opening hours. Good restaurants still get busy, and Sanur is not a ghost town, but a busy one, specially on the roads.
Well there must be 2 Sanurs cause the one I have known and lived in for 11 years is how I described it. You may have visited at a different time of day , who knows. I don't know what roads you travel on in Sanur but the main street is not busy at all.

I will go down and film it on Thursday if i can at say 12 noon. See how we go. But the beaches are very quiet except for Sunday afternoons and that is Family day so that is 99% locals and not tourists. Not a true reflection by any standards.

The whole world is not going to recover anytime soon . I think it’s going to start to recover from next year but slowly slowly . South East Asia has done a good job keeping this virus at bay , especially Vietnam , but there’s no talk on opening its borders and why should they , they do not want to undo all the good work that they have done . Europe is still in a terrible state . Italy , is talking of another lockdown .
Why are so many people promoting Bali, especially right now? It could lead to trouble when the borders open again. A flood of tourism is not a great thing to look forward to. Enjoy your life there but don't overdo the promotion. I think it's not good for Bali's reopening.

Tourism is a double edge sword. Good for some, bad for the others. It was never regulated properly over here and too many got too hungry for the dollar.

How come the video shows a held hand go pro but the forward vidio shows no shaking?
