“Maybe next time I visit you’ll be a bit more gracious”
Spielberg tried to meet with Hitchcock, but Hitchcock refused, not wanting to meet the guy who made “the fish movie”
😂 That's great
1Mannz, I think you totally missed the point when Hitchcock said presents and than did his famous side view (profile). From 1955 to 1965, Hitchcock was the host of the television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents. With his droll delivery, gallows humor and iconic image, the series made Hitchcock a celebrity. The title-sequence of the show pictured a minimalist caricature of his profile (he drew it himself; it is composed of only nine strokes), which his real silhouette then filled. It was a great TV show and I think over the years I've watched most of the episodes.
I likely did because I didn't know that lol. Good stuff!
the john williams line is one of my favorite erb lines, yet not enough people catch it. im glad you did :) keep going dude. greetings from germany
Appreciate the support!
I think Kubrick's line "I'll make you love me, im a bomb..." Is a reference to his movie Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
Hitchcock didn't win an Oscar. He was nominated for Best Director 5 times for
Rebecca
Lifeboat
Spellbound
Rear Window
Psycho
but never won.
Ah okay. Appreciate the assist
19:43 Michael Bay, but he's got a smile like Brad Pitt. 🤣
😂
In black and white movies chocolate syrup was used as blood due to the texture 😊
Bay has made 15 movies, the first 5 were with Bruckheimer, the last time they worked together as director and producer was 20 years ago.
Gotcha, appreciate the info!
A travesty, but Hitch never won an Oscar other than the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award
WHen he said fish puppets and muppets to stir the fears up, he is dissing Spielberg the fish puppet is jaws, and the muppets is probably a reference to ET and Jurassic Park
Ahhh that makes sense
Kubrick also snuck in a Micheal Bay diss with the Ninja Turtles reference
Love this ERB. The energy and the flexes were among the best in the whole show
couldn't agree more!
hey love your reactions VP has alot of medlies
More on the way

Awesome. So glad to hear your take on this one
I used to think “eye of an eagle” was a reference to Eagle Eye, but it turns out it was directed by D.J. Caruso, so that’s probably just a coincidence
I thought the same thing at first but knew it wasn't Bay, after I thought about it I thought it may be a reference to his camera work in movies because of the way they are shot or maybe because he has a lot of patriotic themes? Idk maybe a stretch on either one.
I also think Tarrantino's line about blood is more of a diss of the shower scene in Psycho (and the maybe not very convincing amount of blood in that - which I think was subject to strict rules at the time), than it is a reference to the copious amounts of blood in his own films. But, of couse, I suppose he HAS got a certain "taste" for blood so maybe that informs his view on the matter :)
not enough from either spielberg or hitchcock. was there not much to go on for them to do so?
This one was fun, the first verse took it for me too.
Your brother’s pod cast instantly made me think of my husband and our military family guys getting together and just talking back when my hubby was in 😆 (I imagine that’s the way conversations still go for him around work) I’ll tell him about it, he might really enjoy that one 💛
I would take Jimmy Stewart over any of todays actors. A master of his craft.
I only thought War of the World wasnt that bad because I was 12 when i saw it
