One of my uncles or grandads or great uncles was a mummer. My grandmother's mother died in the 1919 flu epidemic in Philly. Thanks for the info
It's such a Philly thing, I was a Philadelphian but I live in Michigan now ...Miss the Mummers. Actually in 1992 my brother and my husband were in one of these brigades ...Ryan's Buddies.

I tried to watch this one year. The “comics” came out and I lasted about a minute. Drunk, screaming and certainly not funny. Not my thing.
Don't watch the comics watch the string bands
