it is true - apart from producing world class steel - they paid good wages as well! I worked in the joiner shop until being made redundant...

I was the last apprentice joiner to be taken on there and previous to that - the last apprentice joiner to be employed at the Lanarkshire Steel Works from where I was transferred.
