You and uncle voodoo should collaborate I love you both. I’m trying to buy a monkey myself one day and I’m happy I have your channel for reference on upgrades and tips
Me personally, I have had to lower every bike I've owned including my Current Honda Rebel 500. My reason, Cause I'm a Short A**ed little Mother F***er and I need to flat foot lol
Sorry Josh, But with regards your lowered rear shocks, ( Obviously I'm not expecting you to take one off to check for me lol), but just wondering if you can remember what size your lowered ones were Eye to Eye before you fitted them? compared to your OEM ones. . The reason Im asking is because I currently have a pair of 883 HD Sportster 10" (Eyelet to Eyelet) Burly Slammers fitted to my Honda Rebel 500 , (Yes I am also vertically Challenged lol) and , as I am intending to part with my Rebel and get a Monkey due to the weight difference (I also have some Health issues these days with my joints/muscles) So just wondering whether I should take them back off my Rebel and keep them for when I get myself a Monkey. Many Thanks. (Wee) Jimbo from over the Pond in "Bonnie Scotland"
Sorry, I wish I could help you with that. I recently got into an accident, and my Monkey is not repairable. It was the other party’s fault, and he admitted guilt, so I do plan on getting another new one with everything again. My bike is at an auction right now, so I am unable to measure that for you. What I know is that the Racingbros rear suspension drops it 2 inches, and the front drops it 3 inches.
@@monkeyfever Oh Josh, so sorry to read of your Accident . So long as your OK, thats all that matters pal. Look forward to read more of your posts in the future once you get yourself back in the saddle . Best of luck and thanks for your reply .
Could you please tell me if the 2 front fork outer tubes had anything on the inside. Only reason I’m asking is because I want to anodize them gold. Any rubber gaskets mite stop the anodizing. Are they just a aluminum bare tube?

He makes me feel like I’m missing out on all the fun. You should get the 2023 Monkey.
Brilliant brilliant fantastic
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Why would you lower a monkey? That would be like lifting a Vette.
It’s kinda like a low rider style that people do in Japan. It reminds me of the Z50
@@monkeyfever Then get a GROM. Would be like lowering my DRZ400. WHY?
A true "custom" street style Monkey bike is lowered. You could search it up to see the styles of the classic Monkey's, DAX, and such.

Yes, the outer fork tubes are bare aluminum
