I got it running in my survival world. Golems will spawn outside of the farm a majority of the time. A few fixes are building it high in the sky, (not reccommended unless you have an easy way to get villagers up there,) surrounding the farm in leaves, 8 blocks out from each side or having more water 8 blocks out from each side that brings golems to the lava. Works well after that
Tip 1: build this structure high up in the sky (above clouds). Tip 2: add a hopper leading to a dropper underneath the chest. The dropper will drop items on ground, into a water stream where you can build an item sorter. This will allow you to build a working farm where 100% of the golems spawn in the sky, and the items are sorted out on ground level.
Thank you my guy this farm works very well for how easy and small it is. I was surprised it’s getting me about 500 iron per hour. On bedrock ,I didn’t worry about connecting the villagers or letting them grow up there’s like 23 down there lol. I put 5 layers of bush around the farm and it works amazing! If it isn’t spawning a golem every like minute at least just leave the render distance and come back. Thanks again blaze great farm
Here are some super useful things to note in case your farm isn't working as it should: 1. You need to have an equal amount of Villagers, Beds and Fletching Tables in order for the farm to work optimally. If you have more villagers than beds, Iron Golems won't spawn AT ALL. 2. Make sure to kill all Nitwits/Green Villagers. All Villagers need to have a job. 3. For maximum efficiency, trap a zombie close to the villagers (it must be within 8 blocks of all villagers) so that the Iron Farm works effectively through the night. The zombie will prevent them from trying to sleep at night and thus they will keep spawning golems through the night. Trap multiple zombies if necessary and make sure to name them. 4. Cat spawns DO NOT affect the spawns of Iron Golems at all so you can leave them or let them die. 5. If all else fails, break all of the beds and place them down again. Make sure that when doing this, the first bed you place is as close to the centre of the farm as possible to ensure all Iron Golems spawn in the farm and not outside. 6. Make sure that there are no beds or workstations placed within 150 blocks of the farm. This will either make the Iron Golems spawn elsewhere or stop the farm completely. To fix, break those outside beds and workstations and do Step 5.
That’s because the golems can spawn about 16 blocks away from the center of a village which is the pillow on the bed. They can also spawn 4 blocks up and 4 blocks below but they will always spawn on the tallest point. So unless you build this up in the air, this farm doesn’t work. Look up prowl for a more sophisticated big brain farm
Also if I get the numbers wrong idk then exact but it’s around there. I’m sure it’s on the wiki. But prowl also mentions someone else who originally designed the one he uses
Tbh, I’ve given up building an iron farm on bedrock. They’re all inconsistent and the best you get from ppl is them giving you the customer service voice saying “did you unplug and plug it in again response”. Honestly, I get though, there’s only so much you can troubleshoot remotely for ppl. Either way, these never work for me personally. Not saying they don’t work in general, but I’ve never had success with them. Since I’m the common denominator here, I’m just assuming I’m the problem. Commenting to help the algorithm either way. Hope this video does well.
Iron farm is a must build if you want automatic resources. Maybe the simulation distance is your problem because it needs to load at least to spawn iron golem
To make this work first check if there's any cave underneath the farm,if there's a cave put slabs or cover it up 2nd: Must have atleast 20 Villagers(must be fully grown and not a baby!) 3rd: If still no golem spawning, tame atleast 4-5 cats 4th: the job must be Fletcher (so that the farm can still work in rain) and must be accessible to them 5th: if there still no golem spawning, check if there's any village/villager breeder nearby,if there's any nearby villager breeder or village go 200 blocks away from it and from your base(to prevent villagers from changing the job).
The one my cousin did for our server is way bigger and actually works. It’s awesome. These ones are okay, but every time I make these small ones they inevitably spawn outside of the water no matter what.
I built this and it works but is definitely slower than it probably should be. Im wondering if clearing a nearby mini lake might help and if having a hostile mob affects it. I have a named drowned looking at them as i know in java this helps but still just 200 iron an hour.
Great Video. Bout the Part of picking a Location. Can i just build this way up in the Sky to eliminate all odds of them Spawning elswhere or the Villigers linking to Other Workstations?
Best not to use composters as job blocks, the farmer villagers have an annoying ability to get stuck inside their job blocks making it harder to breed them (if you're starting with two).
at this point, i also give up completely i have built this farm on xbox series x on 5 different locations and gave each one around 2 hours to start working i paused the video every time to build everything step by step and to make sure that it should work i built it every time at least 150-200 blocks away from a village, tamed 5 cats and placed them in the hole, made 3 rows of leafs around the supposes spawning area and even tried it with more than 20 villagers all of them are linked, none is a misfit or something else i have built it overseas, on flat areas and always made sure, that no caves are in the immediate area (~50 blocks) i switched difficulties, tried it alone and with friends but in the end there is no way to make them work any other farm does work thats why i came here for the iron farm but i can confirm that under no circumstance they will spawn they did back when i had 40 beds and 50 villagers for my trading hall and i think the reason is that some of them need to link/sleep in a bed when they have no access to the beds, they won't spawn the golems i feel so anybody who thinks it works on their world, has changed the settings or spawned them with spawn eggs but this does ultimately not work

I was wondering if the villagers needed to reach there beds or not cause wouldn't they eventually get fatigued, also can this farm be expanded to spawn even more golems
I have built this farm on 3 separate worlds. Completely spawn proofed the whole area. All villagers had the proper profession and were linked to beds. This farm does not work. I’ve watched the videos on how to fix the farms, I am over 300 blocks from anything. It does not work.
same goes for me - this farm does not work tried everything, even putting 5 layers of leafs around the area and i checked as far as i can, there is no cave below i do have my villager trading hall around 50 blocks in the radius with no beds though might this be the problem?
if i building it at bedrock level and at the surface there was a village but i took the work stations and all the villagers died would the farm still work?
@@Cat47697 iron golems are not affected by looting enchantment and you will not get more iron (or even poppies) if you replace the lava with a Trident killer
I'm trying to do this In survival, xbox bedrock. I can't seem to get past the step with the signs. You can't place them in front of each other like that, they have to be attached to a block...
