Can we get a video series where Matt and MD review all the aquariums on " the green machine " youtube and recreate them on a smaller scale!?!? I say you start with the 🌋
I Love Riverwood Aquatics. Pete's a proper aquascaper with some of the best hardscape in the country. Got my dragon wood, Elderly stone and Chihiros WRBG2 Pro from him. Got my fish from Matt at Maidenhead, Tuanton. It's a small aquascaping world.
He seems very sweet but not everyone is ready for your besties energy and a camera! I hope this brings him lots of business since wow thats a lot of hardscape!
I sensed that too. I felt sorry for the guy. Imagine having never seen these two together and they appear at your shop. 😂 I'd think someone was pranking me.
You're doing so well. Between you and Nick from Keeping Fish Simple, you've inspired me to start my own "Nano Tank" business in my garage and spare room. Yours and Matts enthusiasm is infectious. Also thank you, to Matt, for the confidence to choose Maidenhead Aquatics. My local one is in Angmering, West Sussex, and they are awesome.
You've come a long way since the days of the small black shed. I've enjoyed the journey. Looking forward to what you and Matt have planned with your "wood" !! ; )
First of all I have to say that I love your site and all it’s content, I watch everyone and think all your tanks are wonderful ! I on the other hand I am a complete beginner and have bumped along with every problem known to the fish keeping world. I’ve also nearly pulled my hair out by the huge variation of opinions on ‘what I should do’. As a newbie, it makes your head spin. I certainly don’t want to give up on this hobby, I love the fish and the plants. Anyway, my point is you now have Matt as a great source of knowledge, could he do a segment maybe for complete beginners, who’s tanks don’t just fall into place ?
omgoodness! when you started the saw and then mentioned the eye protection, I immediately said to you "just close your eyes, it will be fine", lmao, then Matt said it! 😅😂. highlight of my day watching you two! I only watch like 10 minutes at a time, just to make it last.
Definitely need to drive around England checking other aquascape shops great content and promotes the hobby. Horizon aquatics is a brilliant store. Egg crate, whats used in marine shops to sell frags of corals is good to balance that large stone on when putting it on glass
I have a big group of Emperor Tetras and they are by far the best tetra I’ve ever kept. So active and tons of character, you would love them. Mine have just surprised me with babies 😍
I think cool looking is a little pump behind the big Wood piece who pump the water up so the largest part is a little waterfall! I hope you can put a hose inside of wood! :D
I live in a flat, the landlord was not bothered by me having a tank (125L), but if there was any water damage, I would have to pay basically. Love the look of this shop though, great selection.
It’s so crazy hearing that on the other side of the country is 4 hours away for you guys! I’m in Australia and 3 hours away is my closest city and I now live 43 hour drive from my home town 😂
No shade at all because your jig saw worked well, but jig saws are generally safer for flat applications or angular planes. You want a reciprocating saw in the future! The same brand makes em and its way safer and will give you more control in the future. Just a heads up!
I have dift wood in my 40ltr planted tank... Can you guide how to avoid the wood from getting black after a year... How to retain the natural colour of the wood for longer periods? Your videos are inspiring and many things to learn from ... Best wishes 🤞😊 keep doing more and more
Riverwood Aquatics is too far away for me to visit but I've bought from there many times online as even on their website they have a great range of hardscape, bought rocks off them I didn't know existed
So many good opportunities for yelling "That's what she said!" And yet you both retained your maturity unlike myself 😂😂 but in all seriousness that is some of the most beautiful hardscape..I'd spend a fortune there!
You got some lovely pieces of hardscape there but I do wish you'd give us some indication of prices of things like that so we can calculate the feasibility of doing something similar ourselves.
the wood could be good with black / white skirt tetras XD, coz i have a group of em, and they school fantastic. people in the house call it little piranhas haha
Wow, that was some massive wood! Makes the bug vine trunk I used in my 120cm look pathetic! And those rocks were pretty awesome as well, I'll be looking forward to seeing how you'll use them, and even moreso, how you'll put them in an aquarium safely for the long(er) run, because I can imagine that ridiculous boulder would put some real heavy stress on any tank floor. Now let's just hope you won't both get the giggles again when you're working with those large and heavy pieces otherwise there might be some accidents😝
I like my hardscape/planted fish tanks...but what I would LOVE to see is someone do a serious aquascape with colored gravel(the multicolor type), spongebob decorations and all that...

I say you start with the 🌋
pro tip, cut your wood outside.
The wood looks incredible in the tank! Thanks again for visiting, guys! Was great to meet you both 😊
cheers Pete
Your place looks great!
Please use eye protection!!!
@@MDFishTanks
Oh my! The place looks so glam... forget the fish & just do home furnishings. 😂
awesome shop
Get two bowls, and then you and Matt can have a bowl-off 💪
This would be awesome to see the differences between how they scape things!
Give me a bowl-off!
SUPER BOWLS
Omg
Yep love this idea!
Pete is lovely! I hope he becomes a part of the MD Fish Tanks Extended Universe 😄

I sensed that too. I felt sorry for the guy. Imagine having never seen these two together and they appear at your shop. 😂 I'd think someone was pranking me.
Thank you 😊. I'm definitely more reserved compared to those two dudes! Love their energy, and we got on really well 🥰.
I think it would take me a week to recover after being around those two 🥴
I would imagine it takes a little bit of getting used, having a camera in your face.
Oh you boys! I was having the worst day and you took me from near crying to laughing for a few minutes. Thank you!
😂
Hope life gets better! Gotta love Matt and MD
Literal same. It's been a rough day, but these guys help me forget about it a bit.
Luckily Riverwood is my LFS, always plenty of amazing hardscape options - and always inspiration for new projects. Pete is always really helpful
Well I am not too far from Riverwood, will have to pop over for a visit I think! Really nice to see the shop before I make the journey :)
I see the beginnings of many AWESOME SCAPES in the making. Thanks for taking us along!
Beware nanos are REALLY addictive. I ended up having to get a 240L tank for mine;)
I can see riverwood aquarium sales going up after this video... A fantastic display of wood and stones
Great to see you chaps featuring Riverwood Aquatics and the amazing range of scaping equipment and materials he stocks. Definitely worth a visit.
The mad lads are at it again! Looking forward to the scape with that massive piece of wood!
What a great shop we got our hardscape from riverwood for our 6ft 👌🏼
You've come a long way since the days of the small black shed. I've enjoyed the journey. Looking forward to what you and Matt have planned with your "wood" !! ; )
These videos could be an hour long and I'd still watch all the way through 😂
First of all I have to say that I love your site and all it’s content, I watch everyone and think all your tanks are wonderful ! 40 minutes from my house and never heard of this place 😍thanks guys will be my next stop
omgoodness! when you started the saw and then mentioned the eye protection, I immediately said to you "just close your eyes, it will be fine", lmao, then Matt said it! 😅😂. highlight of my day watching you two! I only watch like 10 minutes at a time, just to make it last.
lovin all the fun use get up to and showing your travels. every days a good day when you post. keep it up!
Definitely need to drive around England checking other aquascape shops great content and promotes the hobby. Horizon aquatics is a brilliant store.
Egg crate, whats used in marine shops to sell frags of corals is good to balance that large stone on when putting it on glass
This channel has become my addiction, I watch it far too much and now have 2 tanks and am looking for moreee 😂😂
I really enjoy your channel, and that mic handle was just brilliant!
It’s such fun to see others set ups. Just a fabulous shop!!
I can see them doing a small pond outside after the inprov outdoor rockscape. 22:40
Matt is a delight
you can always fit a pipe over the knob to get leverage to snap it off
love it! i only do vivariums but if i had a store with all that wood, it would cost me a fortune! look forward to the scape with that huge piece
Another great "field trip"! Thanks for taking us along with you both to this amazing store!
Good to see how comfortable @fishshopmatt is meanwhile in front of the 📷 what a pro. You both 🪨 being yourself.
Really nice aquascape shop. I can see why you made the trip. Thanks for sharing!
Great video guys! I do hope you do some paludariums, that would be a nice direction to try, especially with MD's scaping skills
I'm keen to see them have a go at a Paludarium as well. A proper one!
@@IndoorEcosystem I bet they would do an amazing job of it
MD, PLEASE make a setup for vampire crabs! I feel like you've been slowly moving more and more towards paludariums haha
What a shop and what a piece of wood 🤣🤪✌️💜
I love all the stuff you bought, wow! You two are so hilarious, you make me laugh so much. That shop was really cool. Thank you so much.
Get well soon Matt, and drink less of that poison.
I live in a flat, the landlord was not bothered by me having a tank (125L), but if there was any water damage, I would have to pay basically. Love the look of this shop though, great selection.
you boys are a trip! awesome stuff guys getting lots of inspiration for new tanks
It’s so crazy hearing that on the other side of the country is 4 hours away for you guys! I’m in Australia and 3 hours away is my closest city and I now live 43 hour drive from my home town 😂
MD and fish shop Matt at river wood you just love to see it
What a dream piece of wood yall found
Hi guys, Riverwood is 30 mins from my work, was there recently getting hardscape for my 4ft community tank, Pete has some great stuff in there.
That big piece of driftwood would look great in the 8ft tank!
It was great to see you invited mike down this time and remember no Lolly gagging!
this is my best ever shop !!!!
For a smaller shop this place is packed with great stuff!
No shade at all because your jig saw worked well, but jig saws are generally safer for flat applications or angular planes. You want a reciprocating saw in the future! The same brand makes em and its way safer and will give you more control in the future. Just a heads up!
That's definitely HUGE piece! I'm looking forward how that tank turns out.
Can you guys post every day 😂 y’all always make my day brighter.
Awesome!! Love your creativity and ambition!!
So been looking forward to this one 😊
Needs to get a downpipe on that bit of gutter 😅 sending the fence green
I am going to have to go to Riverwood Aquatics, the large rocks, the wood, 🙂 When do your 8 foot tanks arrive?
I would really love to see you and Matt start working on some Paludariums & Ripariums
Man the whole wood segment was wild💀 Doing great work as always! Cheers boys!
Matt is gonna have a heart attack with the amount of monster you make out he drinks. Look after yourself @FishShopMatt
Can't wait to see how you use that awesome driftwood. It's going to be so cool.
I have dift wood in my 40ltr planted tank... Can you guide how to avoid the wood from getting black after a year... How to retain the natural colour of the wood for longer periods?
Your videos are inspiring and many things to learn from ... Best wishes 🤞😊 keep doing more and more
It's just red cedar stump root? I pull a bunch of those out of local water ways, for landscaping.
Riverwood Aquatics is too far away for me to visit but I've bought from there many times online as even on their website they have a great range of hardscape, bought rocks off them I didn't know existed
You guys are too funny. Happy you decided to team up!!
It's like two little kids in a candy stop😂
What an epic shop!
Just saying maybe instead of get two 8 foot tanks, get one even bigger one. It´s crazy how much content you two put out, so awesome.
Would love to see you guys try out a background filter setup in one of the 8 foot ❤
MD and Matt in the hardscape candy shop lol
Wow all great stuff guys 😊😊😊😊
Ok we need some of these gadgets in the USA!!!!
I’m ready to see MD Vs Matt scape off’s in timed events forged in fire style!
Use it for the floor pond you were going to put in
You fellas really need to invest in a truck! So many cool things 🥰
Can someone pleasssse tell me what type of red cichlid or apisto that is at 9:38 ??
Wow that bog wood was insane can't wait to see the 8ft build with that in 👀
After all those videos/lessons from you guys, i still thought the brown leaf in the bowl was a beautiful rare exotic fish
So many good opportunities for yelling "That's what she said!" And yet you both retained your maturity unlike myself 😂😂 but in all seriousness that is some of the most beautiful hardscape..I'd spend a fortune there!
Where do you get custom tanks made?
WOW! Very impressive store ❤️🇦🇺
Field trips!! Fun 😊
Insane hardscapes! Can't wait to see the 8 footer!
You got some lovely pieces of hardscape there but I do wish you'd give us some indication of prices of things like that so we can calculate the feasibility of doing something similar ourselves.
You can find them in the desert in California there a native species do you like Manzanita?
Im seeing the mythosaur in that "rhino skull" bit of wood! I feel a mandalorian diorama scape in the works 😜
think u and mat should go out and find wood and rocks in wild and show us what we need to look for and do that be a good video
Why doesn’t the glass break? It’s heavy. Same thing for the large rocks?
the wood could be good with black / white skirt tetras XD, coz i have a group of em, and they school fantastic. people in the house call it little piranhas haha
When exactly will you be coming to the Netherlands? and are we able to mee you guys?
Can we get those Bowls in the us ???
TV light is still purple! Cmon MD 😂
4:21 even though it's not a Polish word (Aquael is a Polish company ;) ) it's still hard to pronounce😀
You should do one for horizon and aquarium gardens
I've recently found a shop which sells small aquariums that are made to fit in a Kallax cabinet.
Any tips on getting PH lower in a planted tank, been running half a week and PH is still 8/9
Wow, that was some massive wood!
Love it❤
excited to see how you scape the monstrous wood!
I like my hardscape/planted fish tanks...but what I would LOVE to see is someone do a serious aquascape with colored gravel(the multicolor type), spongebob decorations and all that...
what was the price for all that hardscape and how can i send you a picture of my tank and do you gonna do a salt water aquarium
