I love how sweet the yokai was to his human friend and even if age caught to him, he only felt sadness for not doing more for his friend. He also forgot that their lifespan was different, but even realize it, he was only sad cause he will have to say goodbye for good.
I think the wildest part is what Yae reveals later; that kamai befriended the samurai's grandson, and that the grandson and kamai fought side by side during the cataclysm to their last breaths. It's metal while also adding another name to the spirits that block out the moon in yae's story quest, apart from Urakusai and that one oni ghost that tells you his name before you fight him
The most important part is, the added info on Kamai and the Samurai (Takuto) and their fateful conclusion was wrapped up by Yae in her explanation after this animation cutscene. This is a sad tale, but it had a conclusion everyone could accept. I hope in the future, when Akitsu Haneasobi comes back, I get to see everyone again. I took a ton of pictures with everyone, so no matter how much time passes, as the Traveler, I'll treasure these memories, while making new ones. 😌 Edit: I wish I could have kept the Pair of Hagoita, in memory of Chizuru, just like the Kitsune Mask from Kazari.
And as long as we keep these memories, even if Irminsul changes history, we'll remember all the amazing things we saw and did and all the amazing people we met. I've been thinking about it a lot ever since we saw the fate of the former dendro archon, we get to keep the trinket she created for Nahida, the final memento of a time that didn't happen and of the kindest god who never existed.
It's so rare to see story teaser for a limited time event. I like it. It's speaking to the traveller and Itto, and us all at the same time. Years later when I become older, the characters I love here are still young as ever. In the story, we travellers are going to outlast all our friends, but in life, these characters will outlast us. I don't regret meeting them in this journey, but time will erode all of us, one way or another. So enjoy the present while we can. ichi-go, ichi-e.
The Mikawa flower festival event has been one of my favourite events to date. Especially meeting the little yokai children and Chizuru and seeing Arataki get to interact with more of his fellow yokai. It was really cute when he started acting like a sort of bog brother to those 3 yokai kids in the second and third parts of the event. . I hope we get to have another event next year around the Mikawa flower festival and see the 3 yokai children again or get to meet new yokai characters.
I really enjoyed the story of this event. Such a sweet reminder that despite how short life is and how despairing some things can be, always cherish every moment you have. And as Yoimiya says, "Fireworks are for now, but friends are forever."
I was once in public playing Genshin Impact, a couple of Chads with smoking hot girls approached me and taunted "Huh? You're playing that childish game? We play games like Call of Duty, like a real gamer would!" Having heard enough from the alpha males, I stood up and held my ground "A real gamer you say? Let me show you how a real gamer fights like!" The alphas stood tall, I was sweating nervous, but then I recalled my Naruto shadow ninjutsu moves and gave them a swift kick which instantly knocked them out. The alpha males were in shock and afraid, they ran off... that will teach them to not mess with a beta male like me!
I think it's Kitsune Saiguu who break the barrier to let the Samourai enter. She wanted to make a link between Youkai and Humans. Like all the Kitsune, she is cunning as a fox ! 🦊
If that Samurai was voiced by Zach, it would be different show XD.. but really, this event was amazing.. the concept of different lifespan, hit so hard even if its a cliché
I think its not cliche, bcs we know our different lifespan with Youkai, that makes this story really sad, bcs Kamai cannot understand what the Samurai feels
Genshin Impact truly knows how to make me cry real tears with their stories, music, and cutscenes. This story made me cry even after Yae explained the conclusion. It was sad, but it was also cute and beautiful (and the fact that the stall that they played their first game was the same stall for their last game hits me harder). They did so well and I can't wait to see what they'll do next.

Nah, chiyo didn't die yet by this time, the samurai arrived at the festival when he was 25. Cataclysm was when he 55. So this is 30 years before she went to expedition

I really loved this story 💗
The voice actors man. It’s just too good, fits the cutscene so well and gives more depth
Oh, the youkai was Kit Harrison! The british guy who voiced the writer in Wanderer's Archon quest
the way they put the two cutscenes together was so smooth 😭
at 0:23 you can see Kitsune Saiguu from ei's backstory such a cool little detail
Anyone else noticed the Kitsune Saigu in the back when the Samurai was walking through the crowd.
It's has Ghibli Vibes there.. damn I'm so moved with the cutscenes.. it's like watching Spirited Away.
WOAH props to the animator and/or artist, I Love the colours and the smooth animation.
And this is so wholesome yet saddening, please leave me as I cry at peace because JEHSODBIWNS
Sudenly i remember Yorichi he was a masterpice😔
Bro they really didn't have to make this event story much more depressing with how chizuru ended yo 😭
The fact that the narrator voice also got older makes it even better
The story is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for bringing us another masterpiece of an animation ✨
i wanna see more of ur animationsm 😟😟
i need it to be an ad😭😭
man, its so sad the samurai cant be with his buddy anymore😭
I ended this quest 5 hrs ago and damn this story is so intresting
did anyone notice Kitsune Saiguu enjoying the fes in the back ? nice detail
Geez, I nearly cried thinking about how the youkai's relationship with the human is like my relationship with my dog.. 10 days is like 3 months in dog time; what a shame it was when my dog grew too old to play..
Another great story by Genshin❤️
This event was so memorable I hope it returns
The designs are unexplainable. 💖
The quality of this is amazing, i love this style, and colors, and character designs and just the way the festival looks! This is really great!
The animation is just getting prettier in every cut scene... And this remind me of spirited away
Can we just appreciate how this musical piece is unlike any we've had in game so far and echoes a deep, deep sense of nostalgia and yearning? It's so incredibly beautiful...
Это безумно круто. И история прекрасно передана, и рисунок очень хорош
japanese myth
the art is wonderful, the orange overlay really gives that old paper vibe, which is awesome, btw in the background, you can see one of Eis archon friends, the white fox woman, i think around the start of the video
This event is so fun!! Thank you hoyoverse, the animation also never misses
High budget animated animation for sure.
another beautiful animation :3
Over the past years, I have seen cutscenes....but so far this one is truly my favorite
Noooo the story ended up so sad😢
Loved this event. Totally wanna see this again
Background music was soo beautiful.
Now that's what you call a cutscene
This reminds me so much of "the boy and the beast" I want to cry
Это было великолепно! Если будущее аниме будет хотя бы наполовину таким же, то это будет шедевр❤️
Agreed!
suprising no comments here mention 0:20 in the background, the kitsune lady is probably one of the friends of Raiden and it's mostly just on tiktok that mentions this lol
Anyone else wish kamai was a character in game cause like just this story made me want to have him on my team lmaoooo
Sadly it is implied that Kamai is already dead.
@@juan0808 oh no :( when did they say that? It'd be interesting if Kamai in this game
@@bonboned7693 when Yae miko tells the end of the story, she says that Kamai wielded a sword made by a descendant of the samurai into battle giving Kamai the chance to fight besides him at least in spirit. By the time frames it is implied that the battle was the khaenriah disaster.
This cutscene is what made my friend put on spirited away
i liked it a lot, i wonder how it will connect at the end of the event
0:17 and 0:23 you can see Kitsune Saiguu from Character Teaser - "Raiden Shogun: Nightmare"
Not going to lie, I teared up a bit :')
Such amazing cut scenes and the music!? Masterpiece 🥲😻
