HighTide Kraken definitely depends on who you ask. Obviously Rami still hates it, but I don’t mind it. It’s definitely a fun movie at times but this film made me severely dislike MJ, that’s for Sure, as much as I love The first amazing Spider-Man movie and as much as I enjoy the MCU and it’s version of Spider-Man I wish Sam had his way all those years ago

@Poole raimi did do a lot of work, even Tobey maguire didn't know much of spiderman prior but wanted to try really hard to be as good as the comics, raimi surprisingly DID the whole "comic book into movie" thing with these films, characters are cookie cutter but then they GROW from each film, the comedy is not that strong but it never was the main focus and the fights/ camera work is very similar to that of an older 70-80's comic book instead of the new early 2000's which have shots more similar to tasm

Peter acting like a jackass was intentional. When a nerdy kid gets too full of himself, that was his interpretation of what Peter thought was "cool". but nerds will never be classicly "cool". i love the camp and cringe.

Spider-Man 3 is an underrated movie in my opinion. Granted, it is the weakest of the 3 and it definitely doesn't live up to the first 2, but this is still a good movie. Watching these movies give me good vibes. Now, if you compare these movies to today's superhero movies, these can be really cheesy and corny. But that's what makes these 3 films out of this world! This trilogy is my favorite of ALL time and I just loved your reaction this movie! Tobey will always be my Spidey
When I saw this movie the first time I remember liking it a lot, but as time when on I started to like it less and less. Then when I heard about the studio interference the movie had, I began to like it in another way. This feels like it was two movies. When it was Sam Raimi's movie, that is when the movie is at its best, Harry/Goblin, Sandman and Spider-Man's popularity and what it did. When it was the studio's, mostly the venom stuff is when it at its weakest.
It’s my absolute favorite of the trilogy. So many childhood memories. The second movie I ever saw in theaters (after Ghost Rider earlier that year).

Yeah I definitely agree I think the order is 2,1,3. I think the reason people like the 3rd a lot is because is has the most fight scenes aswell as all the characters but as far as story....it just doesn’t hold up to the others.

When they first rebooted Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield I was pissed but then he grew on me and I felt that the storyline in these movies was better but I thought that Andrew was more normal and realistic and loved story they were building up with all the villains coming from oscorp but then the second one was poorly received and they aced the whole thing atleast tobeys trilogy had some closure but I wanted to hate Tom Holland but he’s awesome in all the movies even far from home which I actually didn’t like but the Spider-Man trilogy is my childhood and full of nostalgia the amazing Spider-Man films imo are the most dark serious and realistic and the MCU Spider-Man is great but his standalone movies particularly far from home is just cheesy to me homecoming was good tho but I feel that Andre garfields movies were more serious and had a better tone imo

Harry wasn’t even in the first movie then we were expected to just accept that he was Peters best mate in school in TASM2. Character development was so bad in TASM. Sam Rami did so well in character development.
12:50 That's Bruce Campbell. He was in every part of this trilogy. First one he announced the wrestling match, second he was an usher at Mary Jane's show that Peter was late to, and the restaurant host in this one. He also narrated the Spider-Man 2 video game which I loved!
And he was gonna be this world's Mysterio. In 2, the usher was Quentin Beck and he even said "Illusion". I honestly want to see how he would have played the character

Two points in this movie, sort of 'morals of the story,' I really love:
1) Harry: People are *NOT* defined by their past deeds, but by what they choose to do in the present
2) Peter: Forgiveness is not only, or mainly, something you do for someone else, but for yourself...to heal rather than to let anger and hatred fester inside.

I think Sam Raimi did something interesting with studio interference (cramming all the villains in there); he made each character face a moral choice:
Peter starts out cocky, gets simbioted for a while, and chooses Good. (lives)
Harry starts out vengeful, but when it comes down to MJ's life, he chooses Good. (dies)
Sandman starts out desperate, and after appearing evil, chooses Good. (lives)
Eric Foreman starts out desperate in a different way, but chooses - and clings to - Evil. (dies)

The symbiote learned all of its moves from its time with Peter. So the webbing and Spider persona came from it bonding with Spider-Man.
Harry saving Peter is one of the most iconic parts of the whole series! A whole story climaxing to the final act in the movie. Chefs kiss story telling. There’s some parts to the movie that are alittle cringe but this movie is amazing
You should watch the EDITOR'S CUT. Changes some scenes around, adds one or two new scenes.
Spider man getting cockier in the movie wasn’t something i’ve noticed before. Its then amplified and personified with Bully Parker (venom peter)
Even though Raimi didn’t want to include Venom, I think how he chose to adapt him was interesting. He made Eddie Brock an egotistical, slimy, un-responsible perversion of Peter Parker, and after becoming addicted to the Venom symbiote (like Peter was before he quit) he becomes a monstrous, ugly perversion of Spider-Man.

Movie aged very well, if they didn't add venom and saved him for later in Raim's power instead of the studio forcing it, it would have been great.
The symbiote has to attach to Peter to give Eddie Peter's Spider-Powers as Venom.

Basically the symbiote took the look of Spider-Man’s suit so when he put it on, it was actually bonding to him, not the suit.
Still an enjoyable movie despite an abundance of flaws

Remember when those grenades disintegrated those chairmen from Oscorp in the first movie by turning them into skeletons and then turning to dust. Yet Harry just got a scar on half his face?
I got the idea that the pumpkin-bombs were a variety of limited prototypes =various models having differing effect.
That or because of the goblin serum, Harry got enhanced durability along with super strength and other added bonuses.
Even the green goblin thought those were OP and dialed it back a bit.

My favorite of the trilogy; and I love the first two. This one has so much depth. Harry's final sacrifice is such a tear-jerker, but a fitting end to his character.
It's crazy to me how many people don't know that the Symbiote tried to bond to spidey first haha.
This is my favorite out of the trilogy because of the funny af scenes and it was so bad it was amazing
The reason the suit is where the Symbiote lies in the film is because Sam Rami didn’t like Venom and didn’t understand the Symbiote so he kinda made it, it’s own thing. The suit just being a black version of his normal suit was further proof. It’s should be all black with the big white tarantula on it.
Harry's death is very tragic but it's a fitting end to his character arc.

Want me to blow your mind? Norman's glider impaled him because he tried to kill Peter, Harry's glider impaled him because he tried to save Peter.
Also it makes sense because having a second voice that ain't your own inside your own head kind of messes with you. Which is what makes the Venom movie awesome. The front desk guy, the theater guy and the ring announcer are all the same guy who also voices the tutorial narrator in some of the Spider-Man games.

I don’t know if you knew but the only reason why Venom becomes Venom is because the symbiote copies Spiderman’s powers. that’s why the Venom movie kinda don’t make sense but it’s okay.

Spider-Man 3 is perfect movie everything is good in this movie it's the best of the Raimi trilogy and the third best Spider-Man movie 10/10 and Venom in this movie is perfect he's the best Venom and his the best villain in the trilogy
I absolutely and positivity love Spider Man 3. When it was first released in the theaters I was definitely and completely hype and full of anticipation and I was not disappointed due to it being mind-blowing, exciting, and thrilling as the concept and theme was just constructed perfectly from the very beginning to the end as audiences usually see Peter Parker as a friendly, sweet, and kind individual that genuinely and sincerely cared for his family and friends 😍😎👍💯 but you see a different charterization and interpretation of him as he goes on a dark and sinister turn.😰😱 The tone and element represents motivational, powerful, and inspirational life messages such as revenge, redemption, hate, and forgiveness. Tobey Maguire did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Peter Parker/ Spiderman as he put tons of emotion and depth into his role. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎👍💯

I always loved the trilogy. The first one has always been a personal favorite. Tom Hollands spiderman is very enjoyable, I think the path they've made with him, in his trilogies, is going to be very fun to watch.

Venom started as a suit for Spidey. In the comics he thought it was a programmable suit he found in space (Secret War), with time that thing started to affect his mind till he realized it was a parasite and was trying to gain control over him, he remoed is and then it later became Venom once he bonded with Eddie Brock
Eddy went from a dude with a camera to Venom all because peter broke his camera

Sandman is legit the best thing about this movie. The scene where he first appears in the sand pit is amazing and the scene at the end is just perfect. Probably in my top 3 villains of all time.

What I don't understand is why Harry didn't tackle venom instead of jumping in front of him when he was going for Peter. That would have stopped Venom for a moment and Harry would have survived.
The point of this movie is that Peter becomes engulfed in his own pride and ego to which the black suit amplifies this. It’s about him finding his empathy and forgiveness and it’s so fucking good and doing that. It’s not a bad movie… it’s just messy at times because Raimi was forced to include venom.
This movie is underrated, the music still sounds epic, humor is the best part of the movie and the action scenes are awesome.
Edit: forgot to say, the ending and the theme of the movie is beautiful and sad at the same time.

Symbiotes can technically bond to inanimate objects or animals but ya, humanoid hosts are definitely favored as our bodies produce more adrenaline than other Earth mammals.

It's interesting to see somebody who didn't know the symbiote originally attached to Peter, where the rest of us were super mad that the venom movie didn't have spider-man because to us it was integral to the character of venom that Spider-Man was his first host. I personally never doubted it would work just fine, but it's still fascinating to see

The diamond jeweler was Bruce Campbell, the same guy that wouldn’t let Peter into the show in one of the last two movies, as well as Ashley Williams, the protagonist of the Evil Dead movies.
Just a fun bit of Trivia; Sam Raimi directed all 3 of these movies, and Bruce Campbell (which appears in all 3 spider-man movies in this trilogy 1. Wrestling Announcer 2. Theatre Ticket Guy 3. The 'French' guy from the restaurant) was in the Evil Dead trilogy of movies which went from 81-92 (not counting the short film they did which set up the trilogy). So ya basically if you want some more movies to react to check out Evil Dead , Evil Dead 2 , and Army of Darkness . They're horror movies but with each one in the series they get progressively more ridiculous and they're honestly amazing. They even ended up doing a remake of Evil Dead years ago now but without all the campyness of 80's-90's movies and it's a straight up holds nothing back horror movie which is damn good in it's own right, just not the same as the essence of the originals if you ask me.
Honestly I don’t understand how people can hate Spider-Man 3 it was a really good movie and I feel like people hated it because of the little bits of bad Peter we saw, but he did it perfectly, the Venom symbiont feeds off anger and rage and it multiplies it as well. I think this movie was way ahead of its time and will go down as one of the best spider man movies

Peter’s suit could be a host by a technicality. See; when Peter goes out as Spider-Man and saves people he’s constantly getting adrenaline rushes which causes more sweat to be excluded from his skin. Plus, Peter has been using that for what could have been years at this point so all that built up sweat may have been absorbed by the suit’s material. The suit could consume the protein within the suit and use it as a defacto host.
You are one of the first people I've seen to watch this movie and just roll with the punches. You understand the heart of the film in spite of its shortcomings.
