This whole game was such an underrated gem. Amazing graphics, satisfying combat, addictive jams, creative puzzles, and one of the MOST innovative magic systems of any game in that era (and after too).
Underrated bgm for the 16-bit era (Genesis, SNES, TG16). The game itself is very challenging. Good luck trying to finish this. (I finished this years ago. Not easy at all)
It's definitely a good'n. Some of the platforming didn't age very well, but Treasure has always backed really solid games. Landstalker was also a really good Genesis Isometric Platformer.
@@RotaAbyssian Love Light Crusader, but I absolutely hated Landstalker's jumping puzzles, especially the timed ones. The isometric perspective makes it annoying and difficult.
SO AWESOME!!!!! One of the best game soundtracks ever - topped maybe by Phantasy Star IV (MEGADRIVE), The Legend Of Zelda - A Link To The Past (SNES), or Super Metroid (SNES). Oh, and - "Beat Them!!!!!"
@@weterr123 Time is meaningless when speaking about, well, timeless classics :D. Kudos for choosing PSIV, one of my favorite RPG ever. Perfect on every aspect.
+ KesorodaBlk I was all like; "This sounds...familiar, for some reason. " as I scrolled through my webpages, and then, at 1:05, I had a flashback to when I was a kid, at a time when I heard this very music.
Very fitting for Castlevania Vampire Killer's/Requiem song from Castlevania 2, Lost Labyrinth Act 3 song from Sonic 4 Episode 2 or Dark Man song from Megaman 5!!!!
catching up with his stuff I figured he was a hardcore snes guy like james, was kinda surprised he was so into some genesis and pc engine stuff. a welcome surprise. have the og cart and the genesis collection on switch. this game is easily one of the best on the entire collection. also have the snes collection and all the others, still love the genesis one best.
Mi canal está muy muerto, no creo que suba nada relativo a OSTs (estas las subí en su día porque no estaban completas en aquel momento). Así y todo, se agradece el like y el sub. Un saludo!
Yeah, I hate the Simon Says puzzles where you have to hit the flashing lights in order. Those require the utmost concentration and a good short-term memory.
@@Nathan-rb3qp the ice puzzle was annoying but doable. The tune forks puzzle is easy if you have the music box item. The Simon Says puzzles are the most irritating imho.

This music is incredible, fits the maze so well.
This song is actually a banger and deserves a modern metal recreation
This song is damn good 👍

Oh man, this music alone just increased the need for myself to play this game

no wonder why david always looks like hes headbanging when standing still, the soundtrack in this game kicks ass.

Sounds alot like Sonic 2, Rocket Knight Adventures and Shinobi III.
Very nice.
Not
Listen to the bass.
Sounds more like Castlevania to me
Wonderful music
A decent game with an awesome soundtrack.
love the game , music and boxart
Love this game
Why has no one covered this? I'd love to hear this with a modern sound.
yes! We need this
definitely.
I have made beats from this game!
Hell, this game deserves a remake in GENERAL, along with a bunch of Treasure's other games.
@rota for real. I just uploaded two songs that I composed for some video games.. retro game style music
Very fitting for Castlevania Vampire Killer's/Requiem song from Castlevania 2, Lost Labyrinth Act 3 song from Sonic 4 Episode 2 or Dark Man song from Megaman 5!!!!
Holy Crap! This song!!! AH no way! I played this game when i was 5, and now i still remember this song!!! ah oh my god! This is sooo epic!
@Fullmetalx13 always worth a replay for me, this game is honestly an underrated classic.
This sounds like when you uproar yourself TOO MUCH or unable to solve a urgent problem! Wow, impressive
perfect fugue for perfect game
I always have the 0:18 to 0:31 part stuck in my head at work
Yes 0:31 is the part where the childish workplace drama is unfolding in front of you…
Awesome!!
Beat them!
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Just discovered this soundtrack through Mike Matei’s stream of the game.
It's really good, found it off Megadrive Classics on PS4 myself, was quite delighted seeing Mike play it :D

Awesome song, this sounds like a song from Splatterhouse.
So much fucking nostalgia.
I remember playing this game when I was like 5.

GIVE ME THE MIGHTY POWAA! GIVE ME THE MIGHTY POWAA!

Definitely inspired castilla maldita.
My main issue with this game is that the puzzles are way too difficult.
Aside from that one ice puzzle with the boulders on B5 and the tune forks, its pretty easy.
