As an FSU alum, Georgia born boy living in Ann Arbor, I look forward to the Noles in the Big house (if university admin makes the right decision). Doubt they will be able to swing it, but hopefully they can bring the Marching Chiefs to a few games in the Big House too. Kinda biased here since I was in the Marching Chiefs too. Nonetheless....GO NOLES!!!!

I'm a Miami fan! Lets be clear, CFB allows the B10 and SEC to get the tv money, they are getting now and in the future. If that is the case, if you going to add teams to the B10, they must add teams, that makes B10 FB better with history, weekly matchups, the potential to win big and match what the SEC has at the top with LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, UF, UGA, Tennessee and Auburn who all have one at least one national title in the last 40 years. Now compare that to the B10 currently. They only have Michigan, OSU, Penn State, Washington and USC. What teams out there right now, not in the B10 or SEC provide that? Its only Notre Dame, Miami, Clemson and FSU. 1# is Notre Dame 2# Miami and FSU 3# Clemson! The tv partners want national tv weekly matchups!

Another thing is we are putting the cart before the horse here. Unless Florida State has already negotiated some sort of buyout with the ACC, which is far less than 500 million, we have to get through the court battle first. Both Sankey and petiti have publicly said that no invitations will go out until we are completely out of the ACC. I have not heard anything from them that would refute that.
as a 42 FSU fan a 22-year booster platinum level, and a member of TBE I am very pleased at the way the court battle is going so far. I do believe that it will lead to some sort of arbitration between Florida State, Clemson, and the ACC I'm just not going to speculate as Mr Pate has done here.
The deadline for announcing we are leaving the ACC is August 15th. I do believe we will announce that we are leaving which would give us all of the 2024 season and the, whisper, off-season to negotiate terms with either conference and officially be out of the ACC.
Perhaps Josh is talking about the announcement? I guess we will just have to see.

OK, so this is clearly a click bait! To say that there may be a pending announcement on the horizon is like saying, FSU may or may not go to the Big10. There is nothing new here!
We all know that FSU will eventually get out of the ACC. The question is, "where are they going to go?" I think that if there is in fact an announcement that's going to be made here in the next few weeks or so it's going to be that FSU has gathered the monies necessary to buy their GOR back and will be leaving the ACC.
Let's face it, FSU isn't dumb in the sense that they do not want to draw this thing out in court because it's going to be a long ride if they do. We're talking months here people; close to a year or so. Maybe even longer as this legal battle with the ACC could stall for a good minute. Ultimately, I think that the ACC would win their case against FSU and Clemson and they know this.
I think that FSU is going to pay to get out of the ACC sooner rather than later instead of taking their chances in the court systems knowing that they really have no chance of winning. Again, the question is, "where will they go once they do leave the ACC?"

My biggest question is how does the BigTen schedule 20+ teams without beating itself up? At 20 teams, and a 9-game conference schedule, you can have 1 annual rival and play everyone else every other year. But add one more team, and that goes out the window. What’s the point of a conference if you only play an opponent every 3 or 4 years? Or do you go to 10 conference games? Maybe. But now you’ve made it harder for the mid teams to get to 6-6 and bowl eligibility, and forget any cross P-4 (P-3, or P-2) games in the regular season.

That’s the 3rd most representation between conferences? Last yr came down to 2 teams, really 4 teams had an argument. But we could only choose 4 teams out of 7 great options. This yr & moving forward they will get in no problem.

Because we aren’t talking about previous years, we are talking about the 2023 season of being discriminated against. This is how it should have gone:
      1. Washington
      2. Michigan
      3. Florida State
The 4th and final spot should have been the debate between Georgia, Alabama, or Texas. In no way should an undefeated power 5 conference championship winning team be taken out of the playoffs period. There is no defense against that decision because just imagine if Alabama or Georgia were undefeated and got left out over not 1 but 2 teams with at least 1 loss on their record? I understand Georgia only lost to Alabama in the SEC Championship game but they were not undefeated and that’s why the decision of who was the 4th playoff team should have been between those 3 teams. Florida State should have been #3 and no where in that conversation of #4. This was a blatant sign of favoritism and has even been admitted by some who have said on record “there was no way they were going to have a playoff without a team representing the SEC.” However, they could have still put Alabama or Georgia in 4th and still kept that status quo, so why leave Florida State out? Because Texas is going to the SEC and they didn’t want to piss off a future team of the SEC. I would even argue that there was some back door bargaining going on with money being exchanged. The year that Saban retires and Alabama HAPPENS to find their way into the playoffs in a controversial decision leaving out for the first time EVER an undefeated team? The SEC and the CFP and its partners and affiliates colluded together and paid their way into how they wanted the playoffs to be. It’s discriminatory because in no way would this have happened to an SEC team as it was so clearly demonstrated in 2023.

Only losing by 3points after winning NC back to back? But the CFP only allows 4 teams. I agree that the weakness of ACC kept FSU out but they would not have won NC. So moving forward, I would rather be in ACC than SEC if I was FSU. Bama has to play a tough ass schedule every yr & they have to finish like 10-2 to get in most yrs. FSU can easily go 10-2 or worse win ACC & it’s a lock. But even at 10-2 it should be a lock!! With Bama schedule 10-2 or 9-3 or 10-3 losing SEC championship would be ?? some yrs!! “Realignment is going to ruin college football.” This same dumb response was said about spread offenses…..the same about play review….the same about the targeting rule….the same about the transfer portal…the same about NIL…yet the same idiots are still watching and attending CFB games and the sport itself is literally more successful, more popular, and more lucrative as it has ever been!!!! CFB is not going anywhere. CHANGE will happen and you may as well accept it!!!

@@CrispyIsNinja UNC's value is far more diversified than either FSU or CLEMSON's. There are far more schools likely FSU and CLEMSON than there are like UNC.
I currently have FSU ~100% to the BIG12, though there is currently some buzz that there will be a new closer to market deal with some unequal distribution structure. My advice to the ACC would be to kick FSU for cause with court approval (to preserve claims) and then see how things go.

Every few days you bring up this topic when you know good-and-well that what you have to say has been said a hundred times already. You do this for clicks. How about you just don't say anything else about it until IT happens? That way us subs don't have to sit through 10 minutes of nothing for no good reason.
