- Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine DX is a hack of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Machine by RadioTails. It has a lot of improvements. I might just only record the Scenario Mode gameplay because of its new dialogue and unused tracks being used.

Call me old fashioned, but I miss the little "yeo-ho-ho" that the garbage makes when it falls.
and "yippee", and "Yee-haw"
I wonder who's yeehawing? it is Sonic most probably but he sounds different in cartoon shows!
Maybe it's the localized version of Carbuncle - the least-appeared yellow short mascot guy named Has Bean hidden in the first ending of credits (before the scene switched to night)

It would have been cool if they incorporated the sunset from the credits throughout the stages to make it seem like time was passing by
Might have broken the robot pallets, but agreed, would have been cool.
The main difference is that there's different music in stages 1-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 instead of stages 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12. Because of this, the game is now using all the unused music. And Has Bean was replaced by Sonic.
Fun fact: the music used in stages 7-9 (during the competence against the opponent) was the early version of the original game's title screen theme.

I'd imagine that Offsetting would be an easy addition that would've made this mod unquestionably definitive. I'm confused as to why it wasn't implemented.
Well it IS Mean Bean Machine DX so going with the approach of doing some changes while still keeping Puyo Puyo 1 rules makes sense

Oh yeah, Sonic wasn't in the original Mean Bean. He was just added for this hack and replaced Carbuncle.

The only other version of mean bean machine that I know of (not including the games like it but under different branding, like puyo puyo, or Kirby’s avalanche) is the version on game gear, though I think it’s just the same game but on a portable.

@@thedylansang I kinda meant things like offsetting and being able to see 2 pairs in advance. Gameplay additions, necessarily.
@@EverGreenTaiga I'm happy offsetting's not in this game. If you have a lot of garbage sent to you without offsetting then you can just send garbage directly to them, it's easier and quicker.
