- In this video, I illustrate the methods I used to modify an unbranded P350 brushless motor speed controller for use with a Haswing 12V 65lb thrust Protruar 1.0 trolling motor. The Haswing potentiometer was used in this controller.
Parts:
* P350 Manual Brushless Electric Speed Controller.

Wow this was a complicated system, great job. I would fall over if I ever see you crack a smile at the end of a video 😂
Thanks! My videos are recorded like an episode of "Dragnet;" "Just the facts..."😆
Great video. Very informative and appreciate your attention to detail. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
Thank you kindly.
Good tutorial.😀
Cheers m8.
Nice detailed video 👍
Thanks Ben.
Originally I used the 10 K with resistors as Bass Man used , found top speed was not as fast , Like U , decided too use the stock haswing pot , Installed into a 3/4 water proof box , mounted on rail next too seat , added a knob , worked fine over year , until one day motor went berserk , then stopped working , Prior too motor failure I contacted Haswing too purchase back up Pod . Only contact is thru email , days between responses , Wanting to purchase back up Haswing POD , Told no inventory if they can obtain up too 6 -8 week wait , Fifty bucks , since I took apart top voided any warranty which is almost over , You did nice work on your trottle ,
Thanks Alan. I have searched for an alternative Haswing pot back up source and have been unsuccessful too.
I thought he would break the camera with a punch.
what was the reason you didn't use the speed controller as it came from the factory please ? I'm about to do the same thing like you ,just checking ,as if I can just connect the controller to my motor it will be easier . Thanks !
I wanted to see if I could modify the lever controller for use as a remote. I have also built a remote box using the stock potentiometer. I like having a remote instead of using the handle throttle.
@@Aksmaniyak I totally understand that ! I will cut the handle of mine and definitely have a controller on my dashboard , the question is if I order that controller from AliExpress will I be to use it directly without replacing the potentiometer ? Always appreciate your help!
Thanks. I tried using the controller with the provided pot and my trolling motor went crazy.😆 You will need to use the Haswing pot or the 10K with 1K resistors set up.
Where did you get the lever speed control unit.
Thanks
I see the link
Thanks
The parts links are in the narrative section.
Could you use this controller on a Minn Kota Endura
Only if you changed the stick speed selector to an ESC.
That’s way to much work for me to use that method
I probably wouldn't have done the project had I known what I was getting into.
