The art style of technically limited games often tried to squeeze as much visual fidelity out of their limited means as possible. The result often was a simple, yet well done style. Quake is a great example of this. Or Silent Hill 2. "Retro" shooters often think that you need to make something purposely look bad, and the design shows this: They did not approach this from a point of "I have 80 polygons for this object, how can I model this as well as possible? Can I use texture work to obfuscate my lack of polys?" - instead, they come at it from the reverse angle: "This object needs to look as crude as possible - let us showcase just how few polys we used for this." And fuller auto: *drrrrarrrrrarararrrrrraaaa*
EYE: Divine Cybermacy
wow! i got this on your recommendation, and just completed my first playthrough. what a blast!
At first I was like "Wow, this game feels really ahead of its time, how come no one mentions it when talking about best games from the 90s?" and then I checked the release date.
Woah, I played Dusk twice over and had no idea you could cook the meat on a fire. That's fantastic.
Honestly I blew milk out of my nose that I was drinking from the limbo ref. At the end
The fact this is connected to faith makes it so much cooler
Wait, what? How so?
@@OrificeHorus in faith there are a ton of nods to it but the deciding factor is that there is an image of Garry (faiths big bad) and dusks big bad (I forgot the name) aswell as a third guy all standing together for a photo. There also may be connected to ultrakill but that’s a complete guess
"...at the speed of a Sukhoi 37"
>Not Su-57
Come on, get with the times, old man!
That said: Great review as always, keep up the good work.
DeltafangEX the 57 is just a flanker with a body kit anyway :^) doesn’t it lack S-ducts too?
@@IntrusiveThot420 It's a latest modification of a copy of F86 Sabre. Russia is clay feet giant anyway, so no worries
I loved the fuller auto meme. I first found your channel through that clip on some random Instagram page. Love E.Y.E, love funny reviews. What can I say I'm a simple man. Have a nice day, thank you
It's your fault I listened to the cha cha slide ten times today
Good jobs, Mandalore. Thanks for the video and Happy Halloween
Considering that remark about an Su-37 at 6:34
when are you going to make a video about the Ace Combat series?
Panzerfan93 I often wonder if it’s obscure enough. Especially since 7’s out now.
I just don’t know how much he’d have to talk about. A couple years back I emailed him some info about the cut content in 3 as well as the english subs patch for AC3 JP.
But as a whole the series tends to have contrived or dumb stories (outside of AC04) with amazing soundtracks and solid gameplay.
@@IntrusiveThot420 There's plenty to talk about with the series. Stuff like how Ace Combat 4 only has an English audio track or Ace Combat 5's hidden polar bears. Also should note that Ace Combat 4 is on The List.
It's on THE LIST. And he wants to talk about the full Ace Combat 3 no less.
Mandalore is a man of highest culture.
This review is particularly hilarious. I definitely want to pick this game up, thanks Mandalore!
You're shooting out new videos faster than I can watch the last one
that's adderall for ya
You can't find 20-30 minutes over the course of an entire week to watch a youtube video? You must have an incredibly busy schedule.
I love the fact you gave one of my favorite cheats/mods/plug-ins a name. fuller auto needs to be in more games and if I get the chance to make a game, your damn right I'm going to make a cheat named fuller auto.
Hey hey people.
Seth Here!
Overused joke here

I made Sseth a page on TVTropes a while back for cataloging stuff. Should I make one for Mandy as well?
@@denseaf1582 Why would you make him two pages?
I appreciate that you put the track titles for the music in the captions

Too spooky.
_Shake a leg, Briggsy!_
I always rewatch your videos, man. You're an intelligent fella who can appreciate game design.
