Excellent little camp, Simon Howe where you camped is my second favourite part of the Moors, Lilla Cross is my favourite, both brilliant camping places, the challenge hike you mentioned is the Lyke Wake Walk, I do it often and have documented it on my channel if your interested in doing it, thanks for sharing your trip, really enjoyed watching it, ta Stu
Thank you for watching and check out my video - hiking and camping in north Yorkshire is great. I might have to try the Lyke Wake walk one day - it looks like a great hike through the moors, thanks for the suggestion :)
@@KeiteiVentures the lyke wake walk is a fantastic way to see the North Yorkshire Moors and will show you many places to wildcamp, stay safe, Stu.
excellent. love the no nonsense vts. Brilliant inspiration to get out and do the same. Thank you.
Cheers Dave, do enjoy a simple, no fuss wild camp :)
Cheers for watching!
You've just reminded me to go get my library card going so that I can download e-books. I'm going camping (yay!) for 3 days next week here in Ireland and I'll need something to read in the tent. I have come to really like winter camping. There is no one around and you don't have to make any excuses for going to bed super, super early. Loved this video, thanks!
Yay for Wild camping and reading an ebook - so handy to not have to use a head torch. Hope you enjoy your three days winter camping, sounds like bliss :D!
Nice to see someone wearing budget camping gear (Trespass) proving you don't need the fanciest and most expensive clobber to have a good time.
Definitely - it does the job and doesn't break the bank!
I loved the videography skills in this week’s video, as the perspective most definitely captured the thrill of your wild camp adventure. Though, perhaps a little too realistically, as I kept imagining your cup of tea must have had a tomatoey aftertaste after using your cup as a cooking pot! That waterfall looks awesome for wild swimming, so certainly another video to look forwarded too. Thanks for taking the time to upload your wild excursion for us!
Thank you Anthony, have been trying to mix it a little and work on my videography.
Haha - don't worry it was well cleaned before my cup of tea :D
I was so happy with the waterfall, will definitely be back for a wild swim!
😊😊😊😊😊😊❤😊😊😊😊😊
& here i was sweetheart thinking u was going for a warm dip 😁 gets well and truly nippy up in Yorkshire , lived up fore 5 years but it is lush up there awesome places to camp with a tarp and bivvy 😎
Maybe in the next video - the water is definitely bracing!
Yep, lots of places to wild camp in Yorkshire :)
It is getting fresh up there now Keitei - I think maybe a base layer or two wil be added to your kit before long. Good going. Mark
Winter is definitely well on the way - thermals are the way to go - that's for sure!
You ooze appreciation and i reciprocate - much love
Thank you for watching :)
This was a very pleasant Wild Camp to watch and your editing skills are exceptional, also I love the sound track. Made the viewing all that more enjoyable and you are so brave going by yourself. I've planned a glamping trip to the Yorkshire Dales this Christmas with my pooch and I can't wait. Really looking forward to connecting to our Beautiful Mother Earth and did you learn anything interesting from the book? Glad tidings from one Nature Lover to another! 👍🧚♂🎄
Thank you for watching and stopping by. It was a fun solo wild camp 🏕️ will definitely take my winter sleeping bag next year.
From the book - I learnt that creativity will come to you if you allow it and make time for it. ✨
Enjoy your trip to the Yorkshire dales - lovely part of the world 🌲
That's the thing most people don't find the time to be creative because of family and work commitments. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
From one Happy Creator to another! 👍🧚🌈🏡
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it 😀
@@KeiteiVentures 👍
i had the fast forward section on .25 speed and picked out Goathland from the approach, just even the sky is pretty unique these parts with the nearby North Sea illuminating the place.
A wonderful part of the world ♥
A tactic I use for winter camps is to walk in at around 7 or 8pm with a headtorch (or a red light if I'm trying to be inconspicuous). Best for a spot your already familiar with and ideally with a short walk in, not much longer than your walk in the video. I too camp all over the NYM's and coast and it works well for me. There's a small layby at the end of the road near where the ford you crossed is, that gives decent access to the moors either side of wheeldale beck👍
Thank you for the tip, will keep it in mind for future wild camps when I'm short on time. 👍
Getting out and camping over the NYM is great :)
Best wishes out there. Food for the soul.
Thank you for watching ☺️
looking forward to the wild swim !! beats a shower anyday :)
Definitely ! :D
Yo Keitei great video. It's ridiculous how early it gets dark this time of year. I checked out the book you're reading too.....interesting stuff. My favourite part of this and your other camps is always the mornings. They always seem so fresh and "nature" seems to be re-established if that makes sense. Overall it was great you found a none wet/sloppy spot to camp as it seemed quite muddy/boggy. Awesome you slept all the way through.....that has to be an 8! Haha!
Yep, shorter days and longer nights really starts to sink in this time of year, does make you appreciate spring. I enjoy the mornings too - they definitely do feel like a brand new day, super fresh!
Big Aurora Australis here in southern nz a few days ago- lots of pink and green. Hope you get to see the aurora soon!
Ah sweet as! I would love to see then, bet they were stunning in New Zealand :)
Temperatures are definitely dropping as soon as midday passes and that’s noticeable just when I’m working. Pity you didn’t get the northern lights, let us no next time and we’ll try booking them in 🤪😆. I was at ingleton the other day, beautiful sunshine, autumn colours but pity I was on business not pleaseure😔
Yep, the chill is definitely creeping in - fingers crossed for the north lights next time :)
Ingleton is a lovely place, bet it looked great in autumn :)
I do the same thing with my milk when camping. I use a VOSS glass water bottle, use it for my night and morning tea and then drink the rest from the bottle. I thought I was being a bit gypo but maybe its seasoned experience.😆
That's a good use of a VOSS bottle, easy to pack and clean - yep I put it down to seasoned experience :)
Is that Goathland you started from?
Yes it was :)
Just watch out for fileing dales. They don't like visitor's
If you corner a grouse it can break your leg with its wing. That might be a swan though, or a rat.
:o I'll keep that in mind next time!
