There is a trick for this room if you can believe it. Instead of jumping down from the ledge and getting trapped in a tiny room, go all the way back until you reach the outside and go on the mounted turret. Amazing work man, beating all three of the og games on brutal is probably my greatest gaming achievement. Oh the times I had, screaming at pixels on my tv because I was stuck in the same room for 50 minutes, to walk for 5 minutes and end up in an hour long shootout again. I'm glad I had the patience to do this lol.
I completed all 3 games on this difficulty for the 100%. It takes a lot of studying, peak glitching, and a shit ton of luck to beat it. There’s definitely people who’ve broken their controller trying this
Congrats on the achievement! I got all of the brutal trophies for the trilogy and i felt amazing after doing them. In my opinion uncharted 2's train sequence is the hardest part of the franchise. I wish you luck if you do the rest of the franchise.

@6drago9: I like the Uncharted games, but this mode was added by Bluepoint and the game wasn't designed for it, I hate trophies that make you do something that it wasn't designed for. I do have Platinum for these, but not the 100%.
@@morrigan908 i think it has to with you not using circle button to cover, instead you just aim from the cover and pick guys one by one. its still hard tho considering you dont always have a wall as a cover but a crouch cover.

@mex5160 yup 100 it works coz the hitbox for the cover isn't the same as the actual pixels so you can semi wall bang (mass effect 2&3 taught me that pre 2010) 😅

One took me six months to complete because I got spawn trapped with little ammo remaining, so I had to restart the chapter again numerous times. Surprisingly, the Blue Room wasn't the part I hated most in the first one. That belongs to the final chapter with the unfair cutscene that can kill you.
I'm sorry about that 6 month struggle, that's rough! I'm proud of you for sticking with it and eventually beating it though! Yeh that final chapter was... not great to say the least haha. Congratulations on the triple Brutal completion, btw!
@@thegreyscott Just came back to this after finishing a separate platinum for a little game called The Evil Within. The platinum is rated a 9/10 in difficulty because of its infamous Akumu mode, which has been likened to Brutal mode in its difficulty (without glitches) in that you die in one hit, no matter if it's from a enemy flailing on the ground, or from stepping on a trap... but my honest opinion is that Brutal difficulty is much tougher because of its untested checkpoints and general randomness in enemy tactics.
Well... as someone who finished the trilogy in brutal difficulty and got all the trophies. Patience, stealth and headshots are the main things i focused to complete the game so i always try to improve those skills as much as possible. Also when it comes to weapons i try to use the weapons that one shot enemies like the dragon sniper, the revolver, grenade launcher. And so on. Another thing is to learn the ennemy patterns, they are often repetetiv. So you can use it to your advantage. Always spams the aim bottom quickly to see where you weapon is aiming so that you can calibrate it into the head of your ennemy. Once it is calibrate it just headshot the ennemy. I have a tip for the blue room in crushing and brutal difficulty, just before you're about to drop into the blue room, go outside again back to where the turret is, and shoot it once and blow the barrels. This will make the enemies spawn in the blue room which you can now shoot from above the room without entering it. You'll know it worked when the music starts playing

Completed this last night. It took 3 days for a game that has a minimum speed run time of 2:30:00. That quicktime section at the end, you can only push O once or you will draw fire but you have to push circle immediately after to take cover, it feels cheap until you get the timing down and then sometimes you still die. BIG TIP, swapping guns off the ground will give full magazine instead of 3 rounds, so if you can pick up a shotty and then pick up a new AK for example, you can refresh your ammo.
I totally understand your pov dude I had a breakdown the first time I did crushing on U3 but I'm proud to say that I have beaten all 4 Uncharted games and got Platinum for all of them including the new set of U Collection for PS4 having a nice record of getting U1 platinum in 2 days XD
Just gotta exploit the Tweaks and abuse the Brutal mode. Use one-shot kills, infinite ammo and most crucial in places: slow motion and ultra slow motion. You can get it done easy this way. A mode not designed for the game in the first place, and crowbarred in by Bluepoint Games during the Remaster process. So, you may as well crowbar in the Tweaks for it; it's only fair.
@@thegreyscott Oh, of course - I can appreciate how much you suffered for the content - and enjoyed the video. It was like Déjà vu for me, lol. Well done for doing it legit! Better man than I, I just wanted the Trophy for my 100% completion as I already had the Platinum prior. I still got Brutal in UC 2 and 3 left to go though, lol. Finishing off my Uncharted Lost Legacy Platinum first though - collectibles... So annoying.
@@Drequan The Challenge and fun happens on Crushing in my opinion. I don't consider Brutal a true difficulty mode in the franchise, as it wasn't added by Naughty Dog, but by Bluepoint Games. But each to their own. I have a lot of fun with Crushing as I always had legit, but Brutal is not worth the time investment and frustration legit, so I wasn't bothered using Tweaks on it. This is just my own opinion.
Oh boy! What can I say about Brutal difficulty in Uncharted 1? If Crushing made me want to cry and literally gave me bad dreams, Brutal made me feel like screaming at the top of my lungs. I couldn't get past Chapter 4, even with the tweak glitch (infinity ammo / One-Shot-kill). I just left it there. I couldn't get that trophy, but at least I got the Platinum.
I grew up on uncharted. I decided to replay it recently on Crushing and after of years of not playing then going in practically blind I had some genuinely “Crushing” moments. I couldn’t imagine having to deal with the bull of the first uncharted but even worse than crushing. In my opinion 1 is a great but not well balanced game. While I appreciate the challenge it sometimes feels like an actual torture device and made me realize achievement hunting wasn’t worth it for me in this game. I did Brutal on a couple of the others and had a genuinely fun time. I could not imagine it on 1.
U1 definitely had its rough moments, I think the most tilted I got was the blue room. But if you do end up giving it a shot, I think you'd surprise yourself by how well you'd end up doing!
I recently streamed this but as a continuous speedrun to show how long it took. I got it done in 10 hours 22 minutes and got super lucky to not get stuck in the blue room for an eternity and didn't get stuck in the quick-time spawntrap on the final level. The chapter I got stuck on the longest was plane wrecked. Currently set up to start my brutal playthrough on uncharted 2 as I'm also finally getting around to grabbing the collectibles to get the platinum trophies for the games in addition
Uncharted is my favorite game series ever, and I’ve beaten all the games a bunch of times on pretty much all difficulties, but I just can’t bring myself to do brutal. I’m afraid it’ll make me hate the game lol
As a newcomer to the Uncharted series, I only finished Brutal on Uncharted 1. When I tried it on Uncharted 2 I got frustrated and quit the game and the series. So yeah, if you love Uncharted, don’t do it.
I personally think every fan should play the games on brutal difficulty, it’s a shame there isn’t a brutal difficulty on 4. It made me personally like the games even more, it’s so satisfying when you finally get through a tough section after a bunch of attempts of forming a strategy to progress.
something i found was that in the big open area after the ambush in the monestary, is that you can just skip the enemies if you just go to the library, but jimmeny crickets does brutal look hard
All the enemies in this game are dodgers of the highest level. Whenever possible, I try to headshot to save ammo. However, with these dancers it is extremely difficult.
Reminds me of the hardest difficulty of ghost recon wildlands with ghost mode on, the enemies could shoot you down from a distance of 200 metres with mac 10s and pistols while you are flying in a helicopter or even a plane💀
Brutal essentially gives all the enemies John Wick aim, and 10:10 the jeep section is COMPLETELY broken. Only thing that stops that part from being unbearable is the checkpoints.8:52 Best way to deal with the water room is to take the magnum and the grenade launcher into it, evens the odds greatly.
@@thegreyscott obviously i meant uncharted 3 😅 i think uncharted 2 was the most forgiving brutal mode, except for that fight in nepal between you, the locals and Lazarevic' army. I'll try to catch you!
31:44 that reminds me of spec ops the line on fubar difficulty (the hardest), on the scene when a helicopter starts shooting at you from outside an building and you have to run from it... on that dificulty you just die most of the times no matter what. Anyone who goes for this, you need to swap weapons to get more bullets out of the guns laying around. You'll get 3 ak bullets if you have an Ak in hand, but switch to shotgun and then ak and you'll have 7+ammo for ak
Out of all the games in the franchise, this was probably the hardest one to complete on brutal (personal opinion after completing all of them on this difficulty)

Regarding the jump fails. The modern games are much more liberal in terms of predicting and assisting player actions. But in these PS2-3 era games you need to be literally pixel perfect. That is - when jumping, the left stick need to be in ideal angle, and the timing of pressing is damn important too.
@@thegreyscott one guy on YT years ago found that by hopping before entering cut scene you drastically increased chances of making it to cover without being shot dead. I tried and found it to be true. Went from dying 90 percent to well over 50% making it to cover. The world record holder for Uncharted Brutal difficulty (sub 2 hr) experimented some more and realized the bunny hop wasn’t actually the key. It was bunny hopping INTO THE BLUE BOX. When he tried simply running into the blue box he found 90 percent success rate making it to cover. As he put it we went from needing to be very lucky to get to cover to now needing to be very unlucky NOT to make it. Better man than I, I just wanted the Trophy for my 100% completion as I already had the Platinum prior. I still got Brutal in UC 2 and 3 left to go though, lol. Finishing off my Uncharted Lost Legacy Platinum first though - collectibles... So annoying.
@@J-S_93then its no point of playing it if u jus use cheats cuz the challenge is gone
Bank robbers be like 26:12
I grew up on uncharted.
Even on easy this game was harder than the rest of the trilogy on hard
Hard is Difficult. Crushing is bullshid. But Brutal? Sell the game.
I’ve grown up watching my dad play the uncharted games, and he rage quit crushing lol, but I’m dying a bit too many times in normal
The games are deceptively hard, I tell yah!
Woot woot! Always a great day when we get a new video from you.
Thank you so much ZJ, that's so very kind of you to say :)
How did you not lose your sanity with the death high pitched noise 😂 it already made me crazy just for the time of the video
Just wait until Uncharted 2, THAT death noise is sooo much worse LMAOOOO
@thegreyscott it's been too long since I played it so I forgot, I'll see when you get the video out 😁
3:42 That's My Favorite Song
Love Story-Taylor Swift
No controllers were harmed in the sale of this video.
Definitely not 👀
I couldn't even get through the blue room on crushing without using a glitch. It was insane to watch you get through it on brutal.
I wanted to glitch it so badly but I stuck with my guns to get the full experience of Brutal... and I still wish I glitched it LMAO
@@thegreyscott LOL, you certainly do have full bragging rights though :,)
Uncharted is my favorite game series ever, and I’ve beaten all the games a bunch of times on pretty much all difficulties, but I just can’t bring myself to do brutal. I’m afraid it’ll make me hate the game lol
Nonsense, I believe in you! If you love the game as much as you say you do, I don't think another playthrough would ruin the games for you.
Its the "realistic" difficulty. Think about it that way. It represents how difficult is one person (or a few people) beat an entire army
19:21 that guy had mastered bullet bending
The enemies straight up cheat in this game lmao
something i found was that in the big open area after the ambush in the monestary, is that you can just skip the enemies if you just go to the library, but jimmeny crickets does brutal look hard
I’ve found out with experience during stream this week that Uncharted 2 is SOOOOO MUCH WORSE ON BRUTAL HOLY FUCK LMAOOO
@@thegreyscott I bet it is 💀💀
Me: *sees how I’ve been playing on crushing*
Scott: “I played like a bitch”
Me “oh…”
I mean no disrespect lol
@@thegreyscott none taken. Just thought it was funny haha
All the enemies in this game are dodgers of the highest level. Whenever possible, I try to headshot to save ammo. However, with these dancers it is extremely difficult.
I’ve only completed uncharted 2 and 3 on brutal and it was actually kinda easy but that didn’t stop me from dying a few hundred times
Basically haha
nicely done video, did you do the other uncharteds as well? the fight in the storm with all the little ruined houses in jak 3 was the worst i think
@@bavarian3450 very soon I will be starting Uncharted 2 on Brutal on Twitch actually!
You just have to prey the game let's you continue the game 🤣
Don't you just love fair and balanced difficulties? haha
I took a break after dying 50 times on normal 😂
You know what though, completely understandable!
The Drake Jokes haven't aged well XD still an amazing video
Yeeeeeeeeh, not much I can do about that now lol Thank you very much, though!
damn, I can't believe you did this without using the standing cover trick, that's crazy
Not entirely true, I believe I highlighted doing it during the jetski chapters in the video. But I also tried not to use it too often following that.
It´s really nice to see how people suffer through the same pain you yourself went through xd
It's satisfying in a way, validating even haha
I was insane enough to beat 1, 2 and 3 on brutal last year. I wasnt even trophy hunting or anything. I was just bored and wanted to put myself through mental anguish for absolutely no reason other than to stimulate my adhd brain. I plan on going back to get the rest of the trophies so I can platinum the collection. But im so burnt out from this game.
3 was by far the most nightmarish on brutal.
5:11 you know you can kick the gate open so you cen retreat to a better starting position? That saved me so many headaches.
Brutal in Uncharted 1 & 3 annoyed the hell out of me, Uncharted 2 didn't really give me issues expect for chapter 4
It's so interesting to hear everyone's experiences with the trilogy on Brutal and how different it is for everyone haha
0:11 😂😂😂
I just finished Crushing and I thought that was hell. Oh boy. I was wrong. I don’t even want to attempt Brutal
I had platinum trophy of the game. But back in time I finished in crushing. it was truly a pain.
😂 the cyber goth rave i forgot about that. Deep cuts there
Yeh I wasn't sure what to use there so I chose something random lol
It really worked with the random dancing@@thegreyscott
After Brutal Crushing is a breeze.
Absolutely, I agree!
What a game! Brutal difficulty tho is such a grind haha
Holy shit hi IJJosh! Yeh this difficulty was RIDICULOUS haha
Hey man I’m a new sub I know this vid is a year old but are you going to do the other uncharted? Or do you already have them? Because I love this video it’s definitely one of my favorites! ❤❤
I have Uncharted 2 on Brutal recorded but there a few projects that are taking priority for this year so you'll see that one early next year, thank you! I appreciate it!
Oh lord...Thank god that I never dared to try this difficulty. It sure lives up to it's name. My question is; What sadist included this difficulty??
I blame BLUEPOINT it's all THEIR FAULT (it was fun though, good ass entertainment lol)
That was...brutal
Yeah i got the drake collection and uncharted 4 recently and decided to try platniuming them. Biggest mistake of my life. Crushing alone is brain induced trauma. I cant imagine going brutal
Yeh, Brutal can be a bit uhhhhh... brutal at times lol
Anyone who goes for this, you need to swap weapons to get more bullets out of the guns laying around. You'll get 3 ak bullets if you have an Ak in hand, but switch to shotgun and then ak and you'll have 7+ammo for ak
Beating this game on Brutal with no deaths is harder than winning a lottery😭🙏
it's impossible
14:04 "do u guys like wendy's frostys" 💀
Out of all the games in the franchise, this was probably the hardest one to complete on brutal (personal opinion after completing all of them on this difficulty)
Yeh I've been hearing it being a toss up between this one and 2, so here's hoping 2 doesn't destroy me TOO hard lol Also congratulations on the Trilogy Brutal completion!
@@thegreyscott Yeah, the second game also has chapters, and especially spawnpoints that are’nt fair at all (what comes to mind is especially the moving train episode).
Thank you, congratulations and good luck on completing the following games (if you ever attempt to do that)
I loved Nathan Uncharted's adventures
Meeeee TOO
@TheGreyScott they ain't Xmen I know some of them from BS mass effect missions, they are in fact people kicked out of the Wanted movie (curving bullets) for hacking.
they consistently used wall hacks and aim bot so Angelina kicked them out to try and keep some respect for the movie
Regarding the jump fails. The modern games are much more liberal in terms of predicting and assisting player actions. But in these PS2-3 era games you need to be literally pixel perfect. That is - when jumping, the left stick need to be in ideal angle, and the timing of pressing is damn important too.
Here is tip for last part. Run into blue box and you wont get killed instantly most of time after cutscene.
Huh, I didn't know that lol thanks
I mention this because of all the parts of Uncharted Drake’s Fortune Brutal difficulty that I hated this stood out to me as the worst and most broken.
''Unscotted Bald's Fortune'' ?
More like ''Unshaved Balls Torture''
great video!!! glad i was there and watched you suffer ;)
keep up the good work!!!
PS you shouldve put the clip in where you grenaded yourself lmao
@@h4lu_ Thank you Halu! Yeh I thought about it but I ultimately didn't keep it in haha.
I just completed crushing in one sitting, will never even bother trying brutal 😂
Yeh I don't blame you lol
Man, I almost smashed my monitor to beat the game in brutal 😂
OH yeh lol they weren't kidding calling this "Brutal"
Jus subbed but you’re vids are dope keep grinding those platinums 👏🏽
Thank you very much! Been trophy hunting platinums since 2010, ain't nothing stopping that!
i got the brutal trophies on uc2 and uc3, took mover 100 hours each game, but uc1 i gave up after the jungle chase, my game chrashed and got corrutped, at the poont i was cling in on 75 hours
I'm so sorry that's awful! Congrats on U2 and 3 though!
"This Trophy in Uncharted 1 is Extremely Brutal"
Poor feller did the blue room without the glitch 😭
I didn't wanna rob people what they wanted to see 😅
this difficulty looks like a mod someone made to make it extremely hard
It certainly feels like a community made mod at some points with how poorly optimized some areas are lol
22:09 - 22:24 I laughed so fucking hard! 😂😂😂😂😂
I totally forgot I did that LMAOOOO
Goddamn this difficulty looks Brutal.
*Puts on sunglasses, cue that one The Who song.*
x-men? those npc aim like people who play CS and spend half of their lives in shooting modes to insta quickscope anyone if they appear on screen for more than 0.1s
Fair point haha
At least you don’t need to beat the game on brutal for the platinum
Brutal mode is just what if the enemies were smart and on cocaine
Too bad Roman is still dumb
when you die and Enemie taunt you this happened :Don't take a selfie over my dead body please. It makes me feel bad
I beat all Uncharted games on the hardest difficulty. Here's my tier list.
Crushing:
4. Uncharted 3 ("easiest")
3. Uncharted 4 (Chapter 13 and 20 😑)
2. Uncharted 2
1. Uncharted 1 (Hell)
Brutal:
3. Uncharted 1
2. Uncharted 3
1. Uncharted 2
For the love of god, if anyone sees this comment, DO NOT TRY UNCHARTED 2 ON BRUTAL. DO NOT.
I've heard nightmare stories about the train section of Uncharted 2, kinda makes me wanna do it lol
At 30:00 you got hella lucky with that sniper
Undeserved luck, but I will take it and RUN WITH IT lol
Beating the 4 games on brutal was….traumatizing
I commend you for going through Brutal on all of the games, definitely no easy task!
@@thegreyscott I tried doing the fifth game but I lost the disk ;-;
Theres a bit where your in a cutscene and you get shot in the cutscene but it registers as a real hit, somewhere around this bit of the game I think prior to meeting Eddie around 8:22 ish. I think it's before or after this gun fight.
Idk how you'd even get past that since it's 1-tap and *Dead*.
I'm just waiting for you to play the second game on brutal especially with those hulk looking guys
With the amount of people asking for it lately I might scoot it up in the schedule!
@@thegreyscottcan’t wait! I can’t find any videos on it. Plus 3 would be amazing maybeeeee?
I feel like Uncharted 2 would be more manageable with the more fluid but refined cover system and shooting
That could be! But I've heard of some horror stories of Brutal mode during the train sequence.
