Assuming they had the skills reguired for game development, like programming, yeah, they probably would be able to make some really good games. However, if not, they would never be able to make a functioning game, let alone a good one, and that's probably why they chose to scam people instead.

It's getting harder and much more pricier to be a gamer, & we need to stand up to that if we want our games made correctly but then again the workforce within video game companies NEED too be sudle and not a hostil work environment NO ONE WANTS TO WORK LIKE THAT.

Completely agree! The only bad thing is he’s got the potential to scam a LOT of people for a LOT of money. I get ads for that annoying ass “Earth 2” all the time on Facebook. I’ve always thought it seemed kinda shady and the comments on there of people criticizing or questioning the project are always replied to by what seems like bots defending Earth 2. I REALLY hope he’s not the one collecting the money for the land sold on there... the fact that he’s made any money from it at all makes me squirm after watching this video. If Earth 2 is a legit pure scamburger it should be all of our duties to report every single ad we see pop up for that shit as fraud. Ugh... crap like this makes me lose faith in humanity. “Tanner/Damien” screams psychopath with a healthy dose of sociopath.

As I'm sure no one is surprised, this bloke was almost certainly never in the ADF (Australian Defence force) And I'll explain why below, but can I just say, what a piece of shit? Imagine not only lying about joining defence, but dishonoring those who've served by trying to use your "service" to steal from people.
Okay, so how do i know he's never been in the ADF?
1: Timings. Assuming he was joining full time, and not as a reservist (I'll touch on that in a bit) basic training takes three months, from there you have to do Initial Employment training for your trade (best case scenario is like two months) and then a posting to a unit. Once you've done all that, unless he went through as a gap year (Which has an age limit) he would have a minimum period of service of at least two years.
So why is that an issue? Defence requires you to reveal any assets (like a company or investments) you own for security purposes, and in the case of a business that you work for, you require special permission from your chain of command to work in that roll, as defence must always come first. Ergo, unless he powered through basic, IET's and got posted straight away, and either didn't reveal his secondary employment, or got permission instantly on posting, and was able to do all this in two months, than there is no way he could have done any dev work at all.
2: "I tried to kill myself" if defence had the slightest idea that you had attempted suicide, you would not be accepted into the military. full stop, no exemptions. If he was enlisted when this attempt occurred, he would most likely be put on a rehab program, and then discharged for medical reasons. Defence doesn't fuck around with suicide.
3: Character. All of this scamming seems pretty out in the open, and defence does it's research when conducting security vetting, if they had any idea he'd be involved in scamming, you guessed it, no Bueno.
Okay, so what if he's in the reserves? Maybe, but he seems to imply the military was his only option for employment. be a bit odd to choose a path that doesn't guarantee full time hours, a salary, and is designed around already having a career in civvie street. And given he said "on my laptop whilst on a military base" that makes me think reg, because reservists don't live on base, they have no entitlement to LIA.
And all I can say is, impersonating an active member of the ADF is a federal crime, and it is not hard to track. but if he really wants to prove himself, just ask for his PMKeys. It's an unclassified identifier for someone, all ADF personnel will know theirs off by heart, even years after discharge, and it can't be used to dox him as access to PMKeys is heavily restricted. Anytime someone refuses to provide their PMKeys, it's an obvious sign they are lying about their service
And with the PMKey you could then just massage the military and ask if this person or this key belongs to said person, and they are allowed to confirm or denie?

I will say this on the "self delete" thing Uhh alot of soldiers just dont tell the recruiter that stuff... I know so many people who were depressed and suicidal and yet got accepted into the military cuz they just never disclosed that info. (not defending but remember people can easily lie to recruiters)

May not be stolen valour, not everyone in the ADF is a good person and I imagine that would be the same for any countries defence force, and it is relatively easy to get into the ADF (especially if you withhold previous medical/financial information). Recently a Flight Sergeant in the RAAF posted to Edinburgh was arrested for possession of child pornography, and in fact Army OR's are frequently arrested for rape and possession of Child Pornography (The drn has a portal where you can see the numbers of serviceman arrested and their charges).
I don’t understand how people fall for these. Thinking a project of this scale is feasible with current technology, let alone by a little indie studio no ones heard of
I have a severe dislike toward people who think using pre made assets and mashing them together makes a game, I've taken a year to learn how to create assets alone and honestly it's been an eye opener for me. If you want to make a game I think you need to have a fair grasp of all sections so that communication is clearer.
Whoa. Just because they're a small indie studio does not mean that they can't go on to make great things. Not sure if you've noticed but all the AAA games that have had billions spent on them kind of SUCK right now. Not defending this tool or his company, just saying..

You seem to do a good job uprooting a lot of BS happening in games, and I think it's great to bring that level of awareness to people who may be more oblivious to it. i just discovered the genre of scam games, and I am honestly blown away. The coverage I've seen from you and others on UA-cam has been absolutely astounding
I met a person a while back that between what he told me and another friend, he basically held nearly every job you can think of in his 45 years.: Special forces, helicopter pilot, ems tech, semi-professional body builder, custom knife maker, weapons dealer, CEO of some large company - don't remember the name, and a bunch of other job titles. And this is the kicker, he was on a wheel chair because a spider bit him and paralyzed him. This character you are dealing with seems like he could be a family member of this other individual I know (or knew). haven't spoken with him in 6+ years.

At least for the moderator who broke the "NDA" He cant be sued if its proved that the company did someone illegal which they have. Civil Non Disclosure Agreements don't cover criminal activity and thus you cant hide behind them. Sadly Federal and Military NDAs do cover criminal activity committed in the process of the signer's duites.

I'm pretty pissed that he's lying about military service. He's just a pathological liar and cannot stop himself from making up stories, and not even good ones. Military don't let you go in less than 6 months unless you are either A: A total screw up and are a danger to the service or B: Get medically discharged or C: Can't hack it or a failure and are unredeemable.
I'd say he clearly has option C in the bag, but I 100% doubt he had the balls to try military service.
If he is apart of the Royal Australian Navy he is a massive threat to national security. I don’t know how he would of passed a psychological assessment, or a vetting assessment by the Australian government.
As in my other comment, I highly doubt he's ever served. Even with an admin or med discharge, unless he got that at kapooka (Which he couldn't have because he mentions having his laptop on base, which you don't have at kapooka) then it would take longer than 6 months from enlistment to discharge

@BigfryTV As a solo game dev myself, i can tell you that he has used marketplace assets, not that there is anything wrong with that, I do as well, but he has simply used the DEMO scenes that come with the assets to showcase his game, LAZY AS F**K. Everything he has shown has not even been built from the ground up it's simply what the asset creators have provided....
So thats why some of scenes seemed familar
