Hi pal just came cross your channel great videos and bird's I breed native goldies and native bullies and I've a few cock linnet's siskin, redpolls and greenfinch for muleing I pair them with Irish fancies and red eyed dimorphics to try get a bit of colour I'm not into the Norwich mules their what the judges want but I don't show my bird's so I'm not bothered I like them nice and neat and not big and fat that's just my preference keep up the good work and I hope you have a good winter with the birds and a great season next year.
Hi Dee, thanks for your nice words, yes I know what you mean about mules, have you tried raza hens for muleing, these days you can get hens with red eyes which will be worth their weight in gold, they would produce nice small mules aswell with some colour
Hey Ben congrats on the crop of chicks even though as you said it's not been your best year!!! I know what you mean about the bad season and I think you're right about the birds. Personally I think it's the age of the birds. I noticed that my hens that I kept back from last year didn't do anything apart from sit in a nest until they had reached a year old. Even though the birds hatched last April none of them started to lay to a hen until may just gone!!
Yes it could be that mate, the problem j have is I got mine from abroad, but hopefully if they still with me for next year I can see how it goes. Strange hobby we have
Hi Ben, great set up, lve had quite a good breeding season,50 + canaries off 14 hen's 6 cocks, I had two pairs in cages in the 2 6ft Avery's 1 cock and 3 hen's in the 12ft 1 cock and 6 hen's . In the big Avery a pair of goldfinch s laid 2eggs in a canaries nest and took it over and raised 2canay chicks, in the 6ft Avery a pair of goldfinch had 2 round s raising 2young each time and I've got a little brown thing I think is a siskin mule , speak to you soon Mick
Hey Ben hope you alright mate, bro my one cock fall ill and was sleeping during day so I put him in separate cage and away from others but now couple of more canaries are fluffy and sleeping during day making me so worried, bro what it can be, your help is always appreciated and thx alot mate you always been so kind whenever I needed help.
Might be a viral infection that's going through your birds, but I would try and keep them separated and try them on some meds. But the problem is I'm not to sure what meds . I've been away a few days to come back to my Mrs telling me I've lost one of my best cocks, sometimes there's no reason to it. They have everything they need

In the case of viral infection what should I do, can I get any medication online or what u suggest bro as it will wipe my all canaries, now to scared even if any of them are sleeping I get worried

Where are the cages from Ben been trying to get a set but the supapets ones are always out of stock ?
I got them from Essex bird centre, great cages mate, easy to set up and have loads of different options with them.

Baycox is good all rounder, but it could be also the moult, as this takes alot out of the birds this time of year
