Decided to Sub since you did this via no shop items. An adorable small build. I will have to try it sometime soon. Fantastic ideas, and with (little to) no glitch-merging I can do this without the help of my husband, yey, as he does the merging for me. I lack the patience, lol! Thanks again for this, looking forward to moar!
Another great vid as always, good on you for showing that good camp building can be done with the basics. If you're ever searching for a build theme, may I suggest a camp which has been constructed to look like a pre-war business which is now a wasteland squat? Perhaps a bank, bakery, or movie theater
Darth, been enjoying your CAMP build videos since I finally got Fallout 76 about 3 weeks ago, and I will admit I've been jealous of some of the stuff you have available to build, like the Sundew planters that aren't even available on the Atomic shop right now, and appreciate that you are throwing us new players who don't have like 4 years of seasonal items at our disposal: Like seriously, I've been largely neglecting the main quest in favor of traveling to everyone's CAMP I can find to buy any cheap Plans I don't know that I can find, as well as farming events for stuff to sell for caps to buy Plans off any Robot vendor that has them (like it took me two solid weeks to save up enough caps to buy the neon letters from one of the vendors at Whitespring). Thus I have the Barn, Warehouse & Brick sets, but boy howdy it took forever to get all of them. Somehow managed to get lucky & find the Fusion Generator plans for cheap on a vendor at the Whitespring & got the large Purifier Plans from a public event or daily op reward, and eventually looked up how to get the Power Armor Workstation plan from the Excavator Power Armor quest at Garrahan Mining for free... One thing I'm wondering is how that CAMP still has half its budget available despite being that heavily decorated?! My Camp, which granted is a moderately large 2-floor structure with all the workbenches (aside from brewing, due to some space issues and the fact that I don't ever use alcohol or chems in any Fallout game), two large water purifiers, brahmin pen & 6 heavy MG turrets, but still, it's nowhere near as heavily decorated, yet I'm sitting at about 7/8s of my budget being used... I heard that there is a bug where if you build a CAMP at low level, the CAMP budget doesn't increase with your level like it should until you pack it up or something, but it took forever to get this dang thing built how I like it & I'm very hesitant to dismantle it & have to start all over... Still, this video motivated me to finally give you a sub, so keep up the good work! While I am a fairly experienced Fallout 4 builder, the tips & builds you have shown have been inspiring & have helped me improve both my Fallout 4 & 76 Builds.
There're a lot of sneaky budget-eatin' items like some neon lights, (and lights in general) And u mentioned "turrets/brahmin" - those are the worst items in terms of budged, they cost a lot
@@Денчик-г4ш The turrets have actuallly been fairly useful, since there is a CAMP attack spawn on one side & occasional scorched wandering from Helvetia from the other... Might cut back to 4 turrets instead of 6, but when I scrap or stash turrets, my budget bar doesn't seem to move very much. So, I don't think they are the primary issue.
The turrets will definitely be a significant part of the budget they use about 10% of it each. If you've built a large structure there's a good chance that's taking up more room than you'd think too; nowhere near as much as the turrets, but you'd be surprised how fast walls can add up. It might be a bit late to tell you this now, but if yo want generator plans the main ones drop as rewards for completing the "Powering Up ..." quests at the power stations. One of the things that did surprise me doing this build was the amount of decoration items that have been added since the game launched that are available through normal play. A lot of the best stuff is either Atomic Shop or Season rewards but there's a lot more good stuff available via Daily Ops, Expeditions and Seasonal Events than I had realised.
@@DarthXionGames I'll try scrapping two of the turrets on the south side of my base (since they seem to be pretty much redundant anyways) and see how much space that frees up. The base itself isn't too horribly big: It's a 2-floor house built on a 4x4 foundation. And I knew about the generator plans from Powering Up events, because I got the Large generator plans from that event, but I was looking to get the Fusion generator ASAP for the same reasons I go right for unlocking it as soon as possible in Fallout 4: For the amount of power I need, it takes up way less space (I had to have two additional foundations next to the house to place the large generators to have enough power to run everything, whereas the fusion generator sits comfortably in this lean-to style shed/port on the back of the house). Been trying to get the seaonal event rewards as fast as I can (I at least want to make it to the unlock for the clean bathtub, but I also want the mothman hatchling wallpaper if I can get it). Also have been buying Plans for the Whitesprings furnishings when I can save up enough caps. On a final note, I might have to use the default chemistry station as a kitchen sink idea for my kitchen, since I don't have ANY sort of kitchen counter or sink unlocked yet, even though it is a bit rustier than the look I'm going for with this build.
Getting caught up on videos. This was a great challenge. The result is great. I still like a lot of the original sets and items in game. I've thought about doing this a few times myself. I just might do it now. Lol
It was an interesting challenge. Not one I'd be in a hurry to repeat though as much as it came out reasonably well. I just miss my decoration items too much!
Some of the stuff you can buy for gold bullions, so i guess that's okay, too. :) Nice and simple build, l like it. Oh, and: the curtains drop from some mission of sorts, got them recently myself. Don't remember which one, though.
The challenge is remembering which is available and which isn't... On the whole it's easier to just avoid everything. For the purpose of this build anyway. As for those curtains... 😂 You see why I struggle to remember sometimes! 😂
🧐 I'm not convinced tbh. The set I used were from a seasonal event but all the others I have are from the Atomic Shop. I'm 99.9% sure I have all of the plans available from vendors too, (I spent quite a while on getting them 😅).
I usually take the roof off and replace it after I'm done decorating. You could also try blueprinting it; that often helps to get around the issue. Using the flamethrower trap to break the roof could also work. Tbh I'm not sure which I did in this case but it will have been one of those options.
Also wanted to add: "I strongly don't recommend building this in the Cranberry Bog, because you will be setting yourself up for a bad time." Me, who had to fast travel to the Cranberry bog last night, because that was the closest discovered location I had to a quest marker & immediately got jumped by 3 scorchbeasts (2 legendary) and all their scorchy bois: "You don't say!"
-chuckles- I happen to get the same greeting from the Bog when I went there the first time. "Hop over here G, come shoot the Queen with us." Sure! I hop over, expecting a fight with the Queen, not the extra 4 SB's that popped and then killed me and flew off after. Oh they got dead, but man oh man insta death for me on my first real visit. 🎉

Welcome aboard! 😎
Nice build, love the natural walls and vibes
With that extra height you started with, it would have looked good as a barn.

Hmm. I've done shops and bars before but something else could be interesting. 🤔

i'd recomend u to remove them or at least some of your turrets coz, lets be honest - they're kinda useless.

I think those curtains come from the treasure hunter event if I’m not mistaken
If those are the Tattered Curtains they come from the Holiday Scorched event.

As for those curtains... 😂 You see why I struggle to remember sometimes! 😂
I’m confused on why you would have us build the roof one way and then change it??
I believe you can buy different curtains at Whitesprings
🧐 I'm not convinced tbh. The set I used were from a seasonal event but all the others I have are from the Atomic Shop. I'm 99.9% sure I have all of the plans available from vendors too, (I spent quite a while on getting them 😅).

How did you get the ammo storage box in place under the roof cause it won’t let me place it
