I think it happens a lot in this game. It would be cool to get some alternate dialogue for staying in front (sometimes a character will even say "Wow! It's coming up from behind!" when you're like ten meters in front of them). There is, however, some dialogue for when you bump someone, but in the videos I watched it was only a few story levels.
