I am not a hunter, but, love to observe and study the wildlife. Will the calls bring in the elk all year round, or just during the rut? What would you recommend for a beginner?
Bummer you didn’t get an answer. From my experience you might get a little cow chirping during the off season, but pretty much it’s only during the rut that you’ll get the calls and answers. Here in Colorado the rut seems to run from early September to early/mid October.
This is the first I've heard of the teeth on the reed and it finally made my call not sound like a kazoo!
The teeth on the reed just helped me overcome the lip buzzing that was ruining the reed call for me. Thank you
